Gaudreau (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, Sound of Hockey reports.
Seattle moved Kaapo Kakko (lower body) to injured reserve in a corresponding move. Despite being deemed a game-time decision, Gadreau should return from a 13-game absence against San Jose on Saturday. He has registered one assist, three shots on goal, five blocked shots and two hits in four outings this season.

Kraken's Jared McCann: Making progress
McCann (lower body) participated in Saturday's morning skate and is making progress, Alison Lukan of the Kraken Hockey Network reports.
McCann will miss his 13th straight game against San Jose on Saturday, but he could accompany the Kraken on the team's upcoming four-game road trip. However, it's unclear if he will return to action during that stretch. He has produced three goals, one assist, 14 shots on net, four blocked shots and seven hits in five appearances this season.

Bruins' John Beecher: Not playing Saturday
Beecher (upper body) has been ruled out of Saturday's game in Montreal.
Beecher will miss his fourth straight game. The 24-year-old has one goal in six games this season, scoring in his first game of the season Oct. 18, in a 4-1 loss to Colorado. Beecher will get his next chance to enter the lineup Monday against Carolina.

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Ready to rock
Hyman (wrist) will be activated from long-term injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup against Carolina on Saturday, Jamie Umbach of the Oilers' official site reports.
After missing the first 19 games, Hyman will make his season debut on Edmonton's top line alongside Connor McDavid and Matthew Savoie. The 33-year-old Hyman will also probably see time on the first power-play unit. He generated 27 goals, 44 points, 210 shots on net and 59 hits across 73 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

Devils' Jack Hughes: Undergoes surgery
Hughes is expected to miss about eight weeks after undergoing surgery on his finger, the team announced Saturday.
Hughes will be evaluated after the six-week mark. He has amassed 10 goals, 20 points, 69 shots on net and 10 blocked shots over 17 appearances this campaign. After being limited to 62 outings in each of the last two regular seasons, the 24-year-old forward is poised for another lengthy absence. Nico Hischier will likely receive an increased role while Hughes is unavailable.

Wild's Tyler Pitlick: Recalled from AHL
The Wild recalled Pitlick from AHL Iowa on Saturday.
Pitlick was sent to Iowa when the Wild needed to find a roster spot for Mats Zuccarello a week ago. Pitlick is without a point in nine NHL games this season, though he does have 24 hits and six blocked shots. The Wild sent David Spacek to AHL Iowa in a corresponding move.

Duchene (upper body) has been ruled out of Saturday's game against the Flyers, Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports reports.
Duchene will miss his 14th straight game. He has played only four times this season, garnering a goal and an assist. The 34-year-old has been day-to-day for four weeks and will try to return to the lineup Tuesday, when the Stars are home to the Islanders.

Dickinson (shoulder) participated in Saturday's morning skate but isn't ready to return to the lineup, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
Dickinson remains on injured reserve and will miss his sixth straight game against Toronto on Saturday. He is day-to-day, but it remains unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. He has one goal, two assists, 10 shots on net, six blocked shots and six hits across eight outings this season.

Nazar (abdomen) will be a game-time decision against the Maple Leafs on Saturday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
Nazar has missed the last two games with the injury. The 21-year-old has five goals and six assists in 15 games. Nazar will likely return to his spot on the second line should he be cleared to play.

Ostapchuk was recalled from AHL San Jose on Friday.
Ostapchuk has three goals and one assist in 11 minor-league outings this campaign. The 22-year-old forward could make his NHL season debut against Seattle on Saturday after Jeff Skinner (lower body) sustained an injury in Thursday's 2-0 loss to Calgary.
