  • Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Won't play Tuesday

Laughton (upper body) won't be in the lineup versus the Bruins on Tuesday, but head coach Craig Berube told reporters, "He wanted to get on the ice so he's going in the right direction," per Mark Masters of TSN.

After missing the first 13 games of the season, Laughton saw action in just two contests before finding himself back in the infirmary. With the veteran center on the shelf, Max Domi will slot into the middle on the fourth line. Once given the all-clear, Laughton should be a mainstay in the bottom-six for the Leafs.

  • Lightning's Dominic James: Contending with injury

James is dealing with an undisclosed injury, according to Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site on Tuesday.

Head coach Jon Cooper said Tuesday that James is "not quite day-to-day yet," so it's unlikely the 23-year-old will be available for Wednesday's home matchup versus the Rangers. The Lightning are dealing with several injuries up front, and Cooper said that it's likely there will be a few players recalled from AHL Syracuse ahead of Wednesday's game.

  • Nick Paul C | TB

Lightning's Nick Paul: Still not ready to play

Paul (upper body) is still slightly more than day-to-day, according to head coach Jon Cooper, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports Tuesday.

Paul was on the ice with his teammates for Tuesday's practice session, so it appears he is at least trending in the right direction. With injuries piling up for the Bolts, they could certainly use Paul's offensive upside. Considering the team has a back-to-back coming up, it seems more likely Paul will target a return versus the Devils on Nov. 18, though no official date for his return has been announced.

  • Boone Jenner C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Two-point performance Monday

Jenner recorded a goal, an assist and four shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers.

Jenner recorded both of his points during the second period, setting up Sean Monahan's goal at the 1:39 mark and later scoring with 1:58 left in the frame with a tip-in. Jenner has been far from a consistent offensive weapon for the Blue Jackets this season, but he seems to be turning things around with four points over his last four games (one goal, three helpers). Jenner has 10 points in 15 games this season and looks on pace to hover around the 40-50 point mark. His previous career-high mark was 49 points in the 2015-16 regular season.

  • Sean Monahan C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Scores with lone shot Monday

Monahan scored a goal in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers.

Monahan found the back of the net at the 1:39 mark of the second period to give the Blue Jackets a transitory 2-1 lead. The 31-year-old went scoreless in his first five games of the season, and while he's yet to truly deliver a breakout performance, at least he's cracked the scoresheet in seven of his last 10 games, tallying two goals and five assists in that span.

  • Blue Jackets' Adam Fantilli: Scores, assists Monday

Fantilli recorded a goal and an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers. He also added two shots on goal and two blocked shots.

Fantilli has posted back-to-back multi-point performances for the first time this season, and the 21-year-old center seems to be trending in the right direction with five points over his last four appearances. Fantilli had a breakout season with 54 points in 2024-25 and is looking poised to hover around that mark again in 2025-26 with 10 points (three goals, seven helpers) in his first 15 contests. Fantasy managers should continue to trust Fantilli, especially given his first-line role in the lineup.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Making season debut this week

Hyman (wrist) won't play in Philadelphia on Wednesday but will make his 2025-26 debut either in Columbus on Thursday or Saturday in Raleigh, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports Tuesday.

Hyman is a possibility for Thursday's game, but the right-shot winger will definitely be available Saturday against the Hurricanes. Furthermore, the hope is for Hyman to be ready by Thursday, but that "will depend on final test," per Gregor. The 33-year-old could be eased into action in the early going, but he'll certainly fill a prominent role this season for a struggling Oilers club that is 7-6-4 to this point.

  • Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Two helpers in return

Trocheck picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 6-3 win over the Predators.

The veteran center's return from a 14-game absence due to an upper-body injury seemed to spark the Rangers, who finally collected their first win of the season on home ice. Trocheck was slotted right back in on a line with Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere, a unit with plenty of offensive potential, and the trio combined for three goals and seven points on the night.

  • Bo Horvat C | NYI

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Two-point effort Monday

Horvat scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Devils.

The veteran center got the Islanders on the board early in the second period by snapping a shot past Jacob Markstrom to finish off an odd-man rush. Horvat is up to 12 goals on the season, two back of Nathan MacKinnon for the NHL lead, and his 20 points in 16 games paces the Isles by a healthy margin -- linemate Kyle Palmieri is tied with Mathew Barzal in second place with 13 points.

  • Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Unavailable in Edmonton

Sillinger is dealing with an illness and isn't in the lineup for Monday's road game versus the Oilers, according to Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.

Sillinger will miss his first game of the season Monday. Miles Wood (illness) is also unavailable in Edmonton, so Zach Aston-Reese and Isac Lundestrom will suit up and skate in fourth-line roles. Sillinger's next chance to return to game action will be in the second half of a back-to-back in Seattle on Tuesday.
