Justin Dowling C | NYR
Rangers' Justin Dowling: Pots pair for Hartford in win
Dowling scored two goals in AHL Hartford's 4-1 win over Charlotte on Wednesday.
Dowling had just one assist over the first six games of the AHL campaign. The 35-year-old is an experienced veteran and could be an option if the Rangers want to go with a defensive forward as a replacement for Matt Rempe (upper body), who is out with a long-term injury and may eventually land on injured reserve. Dowling had seven points in 52 regular-season games with the Devils last year.

John Tavares C | TOR
Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Scores 500th career goal
Tavares scored the 500th goal of his career, added four shots on net, logged two hits and went minus-3 in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Tavares became the 49th member of the NHL's 500-goal club with his tally in the third period, though that only cut the deficit to 6-2 at the time. The poor result for the team makes this a bittersweet milestone for the 35-year-old center, but he still has plenty of gas left in the tank. He's on a six-game point streak with five goals and four assists in that span, giving him six goals, 14 points, 31 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-1 rating through 11 outings this season.

Charlie Coyle C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Cruises past 300 career assists
Coyle notched four assists and a plus-5 rating in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs.
Coyle's first helper was the 300th of his career, but he didn't stop there. It was a strong performance for him and linemates Cole Sillinger and Mathieu Olivier, all of whom needed a breakout performance to get their seasons on track. Coyle has been the best of the three so far with a goal, seven helpers, 14 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-1 rating across 10 outings.

Mathieu Olivier C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Mathieu Olivier: Stands out in win
Olivier scored a goal, added three assists, went plus-4 and logged two hits in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs.
Olivier had his best game of the season, which wasn't too difficult considering he had just one helper over his first nine outings. He helped out on goals by Cole Sillinger, Zach Werenski and Dante Fabbro over the first two periods before scoring one of his own in the third. Olivier continues to fill a third-line role and sees time on the penalty kill. He's at five points, 16 shots on net, 12 PIM, 31 hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 10 appearances.

Cole Sillinger C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Three points in win
Sillinger scored twice on four shots, added an assist and went plus-4 in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs.
Sillinger opened the scoring at 6:56 of the first period with his first goal of the campaign. He added another goal and a helper in the second period, with his second tally standing as the game-winner. The Blue Jackets' third line hadn't done much prior to Wednesday, but Sillinger, Mathieu Olivier and Charlie Coyle combined for three goals and 11 points to lead the way in this victory. Sillinger has produced five points, 18 shots, 10 hits, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating over 10 appearances in 2025-26.

Steven Lorentz C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Exits Wednesday's game
Lorentz sustained an upper-body injury and won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jackets.
Lorentz was hit into the boards on the play that led to the Blue Jackets' fifth goal. He was out for three games due to a previous upper-body injury earlier in the month. It's unclear if the 29-year-old will be able to suit up versus the Flyers on Saturday.

Calle Jarnkrok C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Calle Jarnkrok: Missing another game
Jarnkrok (lower body) won't be in the lineup Wednesday versus the Blue Jackets, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Jarnkrok will miss his second straight game but is still considered day-to-day. The 34-year-old forward's next chance to play is Saturday against the Flyers. Once healthy, he'll likely bump Sammy Blais out of the lineup.

Adam Gaudette C | SJ
Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Set to miss at least a week
Head coach Ryan Warsofsky said Wednesday that Gaudette (upper body) is considered day-to-day but is expected to miss at least a week, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Gaudette suffered an upper-body injury due to Sunday's game against the Wild. While it doesn't appear as though he's facing a particularly long-term absence, he'll likely require at least a week on the shelf to recover, which will probably lead to a more consistent role for Michael Misa.

Zakhar Bardakov C | COL
Avalanche's Zakhar Bardakov: Pots first goal
Bardakov scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Devils.
Bardakov gave the Avalanche a 2-0 lead in the first period with the first goal of his NHL career. He's up to two points, five shots, seven hits and a plus-1 rating over six appearances in a fourth-line role. He saw a season-high 8:38 of ice time in Tuesday's contest, but his usage is likely to remain limited on a team that has plenty of talent to cover big minutes.

Martin Necas C | COL
Avalanche's Martin Necas: Scores early in win
Necas scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Devils.
Necas saw his eight-game point streak end over the weekend in a loss to Boston, and he was also held off the scoresheet in the first game of a home-and-home set against New Jersey. He made sure the drought didn't reach three contests, burying his power-play tally 1:24 into Tuesday's high-scoring victory. The 26-year-old is up to seven goals, 13 points, 22 shots on net, 12 hits, eight PIM and a plus-7 rating across 11 appearances. Necas will continue to be consistently strong in most fantasy formats as a top-line player in a strong offense.
