  • Will Smith C | SJ

Sharks' Will Smith: Tickles twine in loss

Smith scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Kings.

Smith got the Sharks on the board at 15:33 of the second period. The 20-year-old has yet to put together a point streak, but he's had a couple of explosive games on offense. He's at three goals, nine points, 22 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating through 10 outings. Smith has plenty of potential, and as the Sharks' team performance matures throughout the year, he should find more consistency on offense.

  • Sharks' Philipp Kurashev: Collects two points Tuesday

Kurashev scored a goal on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Kings.

Kurashev earned his first multi-point effort as a Shark. He has three points over his last two contests, which follows a recent two-game stint as a healthy scratch. The 26-year-old is far from a lock to be in the lineup all the time, but he has received top-six minutes and power-play time. He's at four points, 14 shots on net, seven hits, five blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across eight appearances this season.

  • Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Two-point effort in loss

Wennberg scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Kings.

Wennberg ended a five-game slump with his first multi-point effort of the season. He set up Philipp Kurashev's second-period goal, and Kurashev returned the favor in the third. Wennberg has continued to fill a top-six role this season, as the Sharks have opted not to throw Michael Misa straight into the deep end. Wennberg has five points, 11 shots on net, nine blocked shots and a minus-6 rating across 10 appearances. He offers some fantasy value in deeper formats, especially those that count blocks, but he'll be an anchor on plus-minus rating without enough offensive upside to make up for it.

  • Shane Wright C | SEA

Kraken's Shane Wright: Pots goal in overtime loss

Wright scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens.

Wright snapped a four-game goal drought with his tally at 15:17 of the third period. The 21-year-old center continues to occupy a third-line role for the Kraken. He's up to three goals, three assists, 16 shots on net, eight hits, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 10 appearances. Wright has some breakout potential this season, though the Kraken's scoring-by-committee approach rarely leads to big numbers for any one player.

  • Nick Suzuki C | MON

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Plays provider in win

Suzuki registered three assists, including one on the power play, and added three shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.

Suzuki had a hand in both of the Canadiens' first-period goals as well as Cole Caufield's game-winner 44 seconds into overtime. This outing extended Suzuki's point streak to 10 games, and it was the fourth time in that span he's logged multiple assists. The 26-year-old center has two goals, 14 helpers, 26 shots and a plus-9 rating through 11 appearances this season. While he won't be this steady all year, he's a reliable source of offense at even strength and on the power play.

  • Alex Newhook C | MON

Canadiens' Alex Newhook: Finds twine on power play

Newhook scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.

Newhook scored at 5:55 of the third period to stretch the Canadiens' lead to 3-0, though they couldn't hold that lead. The 24-year-old has been productive with three goals and three assists over his last five outings. He's at four goals, four assists, 12 shots on net, 15 hits and a plus-6 rating through 11 appearances. He won't be this efficient forever, but Newhook is showing some potential in a middle-six role, which could allow him to surpass the career-best 34 points he had in 2023-24.

  • Sam Carrick C | BUF

    Rangers' Sam Carrick: Deposits empty-netter

Carrick scored an empty-net goal and added five PIM in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Canucks.

Carrick fought Marcus Pettersson late in the first period. In the end, Carrick had the last laugh, striking the empty net from long distance to help the Rangers secure the win. The 33-year-old center is now at one goal, four assists, 20 shots on net, 15 hits, eight blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 11 appearances. He has rarely produced much more than one shot per game, but if he keeps putting the puck on net, he could challenge his career-high 20-point effort from last season.

  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Tallies in low-scoring win

Zibanejad scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Canucks.

Zibanejad is heating up on offense with three goals and two assists over his last five games. The 32-year-old saw a season-high 23:51 of ice time, leading the team in this tight win. Zibanejad has six points, 39 shots on net, 15 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-7 rating across 11 appearances. He's a virtual lock for top-six minutes and ice time in all situations while Vincent Trocheck (upper body) continues to work his way back to full fitness.

  • Mammoth's Barrett Hayton: Puts away goal

Hayton scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Oilers.

Hayton had gone six games without a goal, adding two assists in that span. The 25-year-old's tally briefly gave the Mammoth a 3-2 lead, but the Oilers scored the last four goals of the game. Hayton is at four points, 10 shots on net and a plus-7 rating across nine appearances in a top-six role. He'll need to produce offense at a higher rate to get on the radar in most fantasy formats, as he offers little in the way of non-scoring production.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Opens scoring loss

Cooley scored a goal in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Oilers.

Cooley has racked up six goals and three assists during his four-game point streak. The 21-year-old center is quickly ascending to superstar status. On the year, he has eight goals, 12 points, 26 shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-5 rating through 11 appearances. Cooley has spent most of the season on the second line, but he could eventually get shuffled up to a line with Clayton Keller if the Mammoth's scoring pace slows down later in the year.
