Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Hot streak continues Thursday
Rakell had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Panthers.
Rakell's goal made it 2-0 early in the second period, as he knocked in a rebound in the low slot. Rakell is on a five-game, six-point scoring streak that includes two goals and seven shots. Overall, he has put up eight points (three goals, five assists) in eight games this season. Rakell put up career numbers (35 goals, 35 assists; 81 games) at age 31 last season, and this start looks like that excellence has carried over to 2025-26.

Crosby scored twice and added an assist Thursday in a 5-3 victory over the Panthers.
Crosby has now recorded goals in four consecutive matchups, and he has nine points (five goals, four assists) on his current five-game point streak. It's also his 497th multi-point game, which ties Mario Lemieux for the sixth-most in NHL history. Teuvo Teravainen C | CHI
Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Eight points in last eight games
Teravainen picked up two assists in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Lightning.
Teravainen has eight points, including seven assists, in eight games so far. He hasn't recorded many shots -- he has just six this season. However, Teravainen has delivered three apples on the power play. He can help, but beware his injury risk -- he played his first full season last year since 2018-19, so be sure to have a backup plan.

Donato's first put the Hawks up 2-1 at the mid-point of the second with a wrist shot from the left circle that beat Andrei Vasilevskiy on the short side. Brayden Point C | TB
Lightning's Brayden Point: Nabs assist in loss
Point picked up an assist in a 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks on Thursday.
After putting up four points (one goal, three assists) in his first two games, Point has just two points (one goal, one assist) in his last five games. Although the Bolts are off to a slow start, Point should be fine. He has averaged 46 goals over the last three years.

Matt Rempe C | NYR
Rangers' Matt Rempe: Suffers upper-body injury
Rempe sustained an upper-body injury and won't return to Thursday's game against San Jose.
Rempe logged just 19 seconds of ice time before exiting the game, but he did receive a five-minute fighting major for sparring with San Jose's Ryan Reaves at 5:55 of the first period. Rempe entered Thursday's action with a goal, two PIM and 30 hits in eight appearances this year. If Rempe can't play Sunday in Calgary, then Jonny Brodzinski will probably draw into the lineup.

Blueger's next chance to play is Saturday at home versus the Canadiens, which is the first half of a back-to-back that concludes Sunday against the Oilers.
