  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Poised to make history

Scheifele scored two goals, one on the power play, in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Flyers.

With the performance, Scheifele is now tied with Blake Wheeler at 812 career points, the most in franchise history for the Jets dating back to their origin as the Thrashers in Atlanta. Scheifele has been on fire to begin the 2025-26 season, racking up five goals and eight points in four games, and he could become the franchise's all-time leading scorer at home in Winnipeg on Saturday against the Predators.

  • Ethen Frank C | WAS

Capitals' Ethen Frank: Back in NHL

Frank was recalled from AHL Hershey on Friday.

Frank played 24 regular-season games with the Capitals in 2024-25, scoring four times while adding three assists. The 27-year-old has two goals in two AHL games this season. Pierre-Luc Dubois is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, and if he is unable to go, Frank could draw into the lineup or be their 13th forward versus Minnesota on Friday.

  • Shane Pinto C | OTT

Senators' Shane Pinto: Extends impressive run

Pinto scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Kraken.

Pinto has been one of the most prolific forwards in the early stages of the season, and Thursday's goal was his sixth of the campaign. He's found the twine in all but one of his five outings, a span where he's also racked up one assist, a plus-2 rating, six PIM and 15 shots on goal. Pinto's six goals are tied for the league's lead entering Friday's action.

  • Islanders' Mathew Barzal: Pots first goal of season

Barzal scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Oilers.

Barzal broke the scoreless tie late in the first period with a spectacular solo effort. The 28-year-old stole the puck in the neutral zone and beat Stuart Skinner on a breakaway with an impressive individual move. It was Barzal's first goal of the season, and he'd later add a power-play assist on one of Bo Horvat's three goals. Barzal has one goal, two assists, 11 shots and four PIM through four contests this season.

  • Bo Horvat C | NYI

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Scores hat trick Thursday

Horvat had a hat trick, including one goal with the man advantage, in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Oilers.

Horvat didn't score a goal in any of the Islanders' first three games of the season, but he ended that skid with a dominant performance. The 30-year-old opened his tally with a shorthanded goal late in the second period, and he'd later add a power-play marker and an empty-netter to round out the scoring. Horvat hasn't cracked the scoresheet in two of the Islanders' four games so far, but when he's done it, he's made his presence felt. Through four contests, the center has five points already -- with three of them coming on the power play.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Scores second goal of season

Nugent-Hopkins scored a goal and took five shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.

Nugent-Hopkins had three points in the season opener against the Flames on Oct. 8 but didn't crack the scoresheet in the subsequent two contests. He snapped that two-game skid with a second-period tally Thursday, a snap shot from the left circle that gave the Oilers a momentary 2-1 lead. Nugent-Hopkins is up to four points (two goals, two assists) in four games to open the season.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Pots PP goal Thursday

Draisaitl scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.

Draisaitl evened the scoring at 17:40 of the first period with his third goal of the campaign. The star winger has just one even-strength point -- a goal -- through four games this year, but he's also contributed two goals and an assist with the man advantage over that span. Draisaitl should remain one of the Oilers' go-to scoring options when Edmonton takes on the Devils on Saturday.

  • Sean Kuraly C | BOS

Bruins' Sean Kuraly: Records two helpers

Kuraly notched two assists, two hits and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Golden Knights.

Kuraly has his first multi-point effort of the season after helping out on goals by Nikita Zadorov and Mark Kastelic. The 32-year-old Kuraly is up to three points, eight shots on net, eight hits, three blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-4 rating through five contests. He won't keep up this pace on offense, but he plays a strong physical game and should rack up consistent hits and PIM throughout the year.

  • Bruins' Mark Kastelic: Cashes in on faceoff win

Kastelic scored a goal, added three hits, blocked four shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Golden Knights.

Kastelic converted on a quick shot from a Sean Kuraly faceoff win in the third period. Through five contests, Kastelic is up to two goals, one assist, six shots on net, 11 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. He's been effective in a bottom-six role, but his scoring upside is likely to be limited if he can't gain more ice time than his current 11:22 average.

  • Bruins' Michael Eyssimont: Goal, assist in loss

Eyssimont scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Golden Knights.

Eyssimont has a goal and two assists over his first five games with the Bruins. The 29-year-old helped out on a Tanner Jeannot tally early in the first period before scoring a goal of his own in the third. Eyssimont has added two hits, nine shots on net, four PIM and a minus-2 rating while occupying a bottom-six role. Unless he gets more consistent ice time than his current 11:41 average per game, the veteran forward is unlikely to be a major factor in fantasy.
