Sean Farrell C | MON
Canadiens' Sean Farrell: On waivers for AHL assignment
Farrell has been placed on waivers by the Canadiens for the purpose of assigning him to AHL Laval, the team announced Sunday.
Farrell has yet to play a game in the NHL since a six-game stint in 2022-23 following the conclusion of his sophomore season at Harvard University. That will continue into at least the start of this campaign with his assignment to the minors. The 23-year-old had a good year with Laval in 2024-25, supplying 20 goals and 24 assists in 67 regular-season appearances.

Lucas Condotta C | MON
Canadiens' Lucas Condotta: Placed on waiver for AHL assignment
Condotta has been placed on waivers by the Canadiens for the purpose of assignment to AHL Laval, the team announced Sunday.
Condotta was one of many cuts that Montreal made to the training camp roster Sunday. The 27-year-old played seven regular-season games last season with the big club, scoring once, but he spent the rest of the campaign with Laval, recording five goals and 31 points across 63 regular-season outings. Although he's slated to start the season in the AHL, Condotta should be one of Montreal's top call-up options this year.

Jan Mysak C | ANA
Ducks' Jan Mysak: On waivers for AHL assignment
Mysak was placed on waivers by the Ducks with the intent to assign him to AHL San Diego, the team announced Sunday.
Mysak had 18 goals and 42 points across 68 regular-season appearances with San Diego last year. The 23-year-old had an assist in two preseason appearances, but he's still seeking his NHL regular-season debut.

Evan Rodrigues C | FLA
Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Exits Sunday's practice
Rodrigues (undisclosed) left Sunday's practice early for precautionary reasons, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Rodrigues might sit out Monday's preseason matchup against Carolina, but head coach Paul Maurice said the 32-year-old forward would be playing if it were a regular-season game. Rodrigues had 15 goals and 32 points in 82 games during the 2024-25 campaign before adding 13 helpers and 15 points in 21 playoff outings.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi C | CAR
Hurricanes' Jesperi Kotkaniemi: Should be fine
Kotkaniemi (face) is expected to be okay after getting a stick to the face in Friday's 6-5 preseason loss to Tampa Bay, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports Sunday.
Kotkaniemi didn't participate in the morning skate, but he probably wasn't going to play against Nashville on Sunday anyway. He accounted for 12 goals and 33 points in 78 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

Ivan Ivan C | COL
Avalanche's Ivan Ivan: Sent down Saturday
Ivan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Saturday.
Ivan appears to have fallen short of securing an NHL roster spot to begin 2025-26. The 23-year-old could still earn a call-up later in the season if he performs well while with the Eagles.

Jake O'Brien C | SEA
Kraken's Jake O'Brien: Back in junior ranks
O'Brien is not listed on the Kraken's roster, per the NHL media site, which indicates he was reassigned to OHL Brantford this week.
O'Brien was reportedly dealing with an undisclosed injury, but that is apparently no longer a concern. Expect the eighth-overall pick from 2025 to continue his development with the junior club this year before pushing for an NHL spot in the next one or two years.

Jansen Harkins C | ANA
Ducks' Jansen Harkins: Set to miss next eight weeks
Harkins (upper body) is expected to be unavailable for about eight weeks, the Ducks announced Saturday.
Harkins had two goals, six points, 21 PIM and 136 hits in 62 appearances with Anaheim in 2024-25. When he's healthy, Harkins might serve in a bottom-six capacity, but it's also possible that he'll spend time in the minors.

T.J. Tynan C | COL
Avalanche's T.J. Tynan: On waivers
Tynan was placed on waivers by Colorado on Saturday, per PuckPedia.
Despite solid production at the AHL level, the undersized forward has never secured a lasting NHL role. Now 33, with only two assists across 30 career regular-season games, Tynan appears to be running out of chances to make an impact at the top level.

Nikita Alexandrov C | LA
Blues' Nikita Alexandrov: Goes on waivers
Alexandrov was shifted to waivers Saturday, according to PuckPedia.
Alexandrov collected 21 goals and 49 points across 48 regular-season games with AHL Springfield in 2024-25. He didn't see any playing time with the Blues last campaign. Alexandrov could start this year in the minors with the Thunderbirds if he clears the waiver wire.
