Isac Lundestrom C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Isac Lundestrom: Inks two-year deal
Lundestrom signed a two-year, $2.6 million contract with Columbus on Tuesday, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN.
Lundestrom registered four goals, 15 points, 60 shots on net, 68 blocked shots and 48 hits in 79 regular-season outings for Anaheim in 2024-25. As a member of the Blue Jackets, the 25-year-old forward will likely occupy a bottom-six role.

Adam Gaudette C | SJ
Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Signs two-year pact
Gaudette agreed to terms on a two-year, $4 million contract with San Jose on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Gaudette was reportedly close to staying with Ottawa but evidently found better terms in San Jose. This will be the 28-year-old center's fifth NHL team in his eight-year NHL career. The Massachusetts native fell one goal shy of reaching the 20 mark last year over 81 regular-season games, and he could be in contention to challenge that threshold again in 2025-26 if he can earn a middle-six role.

Justin Dowling C | NYR
Rangers' Justin Dowling: Secures two-year contract
Dowling signed a two-year, $1.55 million contract with the Rangers on Tuesday, per PuckPedia.
Dowling contributed two goals, five assists, 34 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and 51 hits in 52 regular-season appearances with New Jersey in 2024-25. He will battle for a depth spot on the Rangers during training camp.

Mikael Granlund C | ANA
Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Headed to Orange County
Granlund signed a three-year, $21 million contract with Anaheim on Tuesday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Granlund compiled 22 goals, 66 points and 169 shots on net across 83 regular-season games between Dallas and San Jose in 2024-25. He was a productive player during his time with the Sharks, despite the team's scoring struggles, and should make an impact with the Ducks if he's a prominent piece in the lineup.

Lars Eller C | OTT
Senators' Lars Eller: Secures one-year deal
Eller landed a one-year, $1.25 million contract from Ottawa on Tuesday.
Eller started the 2024-25 campaign with the Penguins before being traded back to the Capitals. Overall, the veteran center played in 80 regular-season contests while racking up 10 goals and 12 helpers. The Senators have decent center depth, which means Eller could find himself filling a fourth-line role unless the team opts to move Dylan Cozens or Shane Pinto to the wing.
-
Tyson Kozak C | BUF
Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Secures three-year contract
Kozak put pen to paper on a three-year, $2.325 million contract with Buffalo on Tuesday.
Kozak's new deal starts out as a two-way contract for the first two years before switching to a one-way deal for the 2027-28 campaign. Given the nature of the agreement, the 22-year-old center should probably be expected to spend the bulk of 2025-26 in the minors with AHL Rochester. During his rookie campaign, Kozak notched three goals and two assists in 21 regular-season tilts with the Sabres.

Philip Tomasino C | PHI
Penguins' Philip Tomasino: Inks one-year deal
Tomasino secured a one-year, $1.75 million contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Tomasino will stick with the Penguins after joining the club via a trade from Nashville last year. In his 50 regular-season outings with Pittsburgh, the 23-year-old natural center generated 11 goals and 12 helpers, including eight power-play points. While listed as a center, Tomasino could be in line to play on the wing alongside Evgeni Malkin this year and should secure minutes with the No. 2 power-play group.
-
Nico Sturm C | MIN
Wild's Nico Sturm: Returning to State of Hockey
Sturm agreed to terms on a two-year, $4 million contract with Minnesota on Tuesday.
Sturm rejoins the Wild following his trade to Colorado back in March of 2022. Since his previous stint with the club, the 30-year-old German has won a pair of Stanley Cups, including this past season with the Panthers. Sturm will give the team some much-needed depth, likely in a bottom-six role.
-
Philipp Kurashev C | SJ
Sharks' Philipp Kurashev: Finds new team in free agency
Kurashev signed a one-year, $1.2 million contract with the Sharks on Tuesday, according to PuckPedia.
Kurashev accounted for seven goals, 14 points and a minus-28 rating with Chicago in 2024-25. The Sharks arguably have more talent than the Blackhawks, looking ahead to 2025-26, so Kurashev's production could increase, but his plus-minus rating may not improve much, if any. The 25-year-old should be able to work his way into a middle-six role with his new club this coming season.

Connor Dewar C | PIT
Penguins' Connor Dewar: Staying with Pittsburgh
Dewar signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Penguins on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Dewar did not receive a qualifying offer from Pittsburgh by Monday's deadline, but he is ultimately staying with the team that acquired him in March. The left-shot forward logged just three helpers over 31 regular-season appearances with Toronto in 2024-25, but he fared much better in his time with the Pens, generating four goals and three helpers over 17 appearances. The 26-year-old is set to be a fixture in the bottom six this coming season.
