Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Ruled out for Game 3
Reinhart (lower body) will not play in Saturday's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Hurricanes, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Reinhart left Thursday's Game 2 after taking a hit from Carolina's Sebastian Aho, and after one more shift, he did not return. The 29-year-old Reinhart is day-to-day and will miss at least one game. He has been productive in the postseason, collecting four goals and seven assists in 13 appearances. With Reinhart out, Jesper Boqvist will skate on the top line alongside Aleksander Barkov and Evan Rodrigues.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Logs power-play helper
Draisaitl provided a power-play assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Draisaitl helped out on Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' opening tally at 5:51 of the first period. The 29-year-old Draisaitl has five points over his last three games, and two of his four points in the Western Conference Finals have come on the power play. He's up to six goals, 14 helpers, 39 shots on net, 15 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 13 playoff outings.

Oilers' Connor McDavid: Slings helper in win
McDavid notched an assist and four shots on goal in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
McDavid continues to be a superb playmaker this postseason. He's already earned three helpers over two games in the Western Conference Finals, and 17 of his 20 playoff points have been assists. The superstar has added 51 shots on net, 16 hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 13 appearances.

Oilers' Connor Brown: Buries goal Friday
Brown scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 3.
Brown has been missing practices while managing some sort of issue, but it hasn't kept him off the ice yet. This goal was his first since Game 1 of the second round, a span of five contests in which he had just one assist. The 31-year-old winger is at five goals, three helpers, 21 shots on net, 11 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 13 playoff outings. He continues to fill a middle-six role while offering some defensive upside.

Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Pair of points in Game 2
Nugent-Hopkins scored a power-play goal, added an assist, logged four hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Nugent-Hopkins has had a goal and an assist in each of the first two games of the Western Conference Finals. Getting more offense from the 32-year-old makes life easier for the Oilers, though they aren't as dependent on their top players as usual. The forward is now at five goals, eight assists, 27 shots on net, 15 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 13 playoff outings.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Ready to play Saturday
Head coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday that Jarvis (undisclosed) is fine and should be ready to play in Florida on Saturday for Game 3, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Jarvis left Thursday's game briefly in the third period, but he returned to action before the end of the contest. Jarvis has four goals and 12 points in 12 games during the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Status for Game 3 pending
Per Michael Russo of The Athletic, Reinhart (lower body) will see doctors Friday and his status for Game 3 versus Carolina will be updated Saturday, according to head coach Paul Maurice.
Reinhart left Thursday's tilt in Carolina after taking a hip check from Sebastian Aho in the opening stanza. He played one more shift late in the period and did not return. Reinhart was replaced on the top line by Tomas Nosek, and Nosek could see plenty of time on the top line with Aleksander Barkov and Evan Rodrigues should Reinhart sit out Game 3 in Florida. Reinhart has four goals and seven assists across 14 playoff appearances.

Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Lights lamp on power play
Barkov put up a power-play goal in a 5-0 win over Carolina in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday.
Barkov's goal put the kitties up 5-0 in the third. He redirected Aaron Ekblad's wrist shot from the right point past Pyotr Kochetkov. It was his fourth goal and 12th point of the postseason (14 games). That total puts Barkov one point behind a trio of teammates (Carter Verhaeghe, Sam Bennett and Eetu Luostarinen) for the team lead in the postseason.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Power-play playmaking prowess
Rodrigues had two assists in a 5-0 victory over the Hurricanes on Thursday in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Both came on the power play. Rodrigues has eight assists, including three with the man advantage, and 19 shots in 12 games this postseason. All three of those power-play points have come against the Canes.

Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Trio of assists in Game 2 win
Verhaeghe had three assists in a 5-0 win over the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday.
He and Sam Bennett continue to pour on the pressure, and the Canes have had no response. The two men are tied with Eetu Luostarinen for the team lead in scoring with 13 points in 14 games. Verhaeghe appeared on Conn Smythe ballots in 2024, and at this rate, he'll see that again.
