  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Resting again Tuesday

Reinhart won't play Tuesday versus the Lightning, Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site reports.

Reinhart will rest for the third time in six games as the Panthers give their top players some time off. He'll be back on the first line and first power-play unit once the postseason begins.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Resting again

Barkov won't play versus the Lightning on Tuesday, Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site reports.

Barkov will rest for the second time in three games. He should be back for Game 1 of the playoffs.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Dealing with soft-tissue injury

Norris' undisclosed injury is a soft-tissue injury that the Sabres knew about before acquiring him from the Senators, Brian Koziol of WGR reports.

Norris reportedly would have been available at some point in the playoffs had the Sabres qualified. This suggests he could be officially cleared during the offseason and shouldn't be too significantly impacted in his training routine. Norris will end up having missed the last 18 games of the season, finishing with 35 points across 56 appearances between Buffalo and Ottawa. He'll be in line for top-six minutes if he's healthy to begin 2025-26.

  • Ridly Greig C | OTT

Senators' Ridly Greig: Slated to play

Greig (illness) is expected to play against Chicago on Tuesday, according to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.

Claude Giroux was going to sit out Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over Philadelphia for rest, but an illness to Greig forced the Senators to change course. With Greig set to return to action, Giroux will skip Tuesday's matchup against the Blackhawks instead. Greig has produced 13 goals, 33 points, 115 shots on net and 136 hits through 76 appearances this season.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Not playing Tuesday

Eichel (upper body) won't be in the lineup versus the Flames on Tuesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Eichel will miss his fourth straight game. His final chance to play before the playoffs will be versus Vancouver on Wednesday. Eichel has accumulated 27 goals, 93 points and 231 shots on net across 76 appearances this season. Once healthy, the 28-year-old Eichel will return to the top line and first power-play unit, bumping Brett Howden down the depth chart.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Provides two helpers Monday

Kopitar notched two assists in Monday's 5-0 win over the Oilers.

Kopitar has two goals and three assists over his last three contests. The 37-year-old helped out on the Kings' last two goals in this game, scored by Kevin Fiala and Adrian Kempe. Kopitar is up to 21 goals, 46 assists, 98 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating over 80 appearances. With the depth of the Kings' offense, Kopitar may see more of a shutdown role in the playoffs, though he should still be able to chip in offense, especially when the Oilers are not expected to be at full strength on defense in the first round.

  • Canucks' Linus Karlsson: Nets equalizer

Karlsson scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sharks.

Karlsson continues to make an impact from the bottom six late in the season. He has two goals and three assists over his last nine outings despite averaging 11:40 of ice time in that span. For the season, the 25-year-old forward is at six points, 28 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-5 rating across 22 appearances.

  • Sam Bennett C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Nabs helper in return

Bennett logged a power-play assist, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers.

Bennett was able to return from a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury that was previously expected to keep him out until the playoffs. The 28-year-old was back in a second-line role and saw 17:51 of ice time, so it's safe to assume he's fairly healthy heading into the playoffs. He's put together a career year with 51 points (11 on the power play), 240 shots on net, 145 hits, 88 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 75 appearances in a contract year.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Contributes pair of assists

Barkov recorded two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers.

Barkov was rested Saturday versus the Sabres but drew back into the lineup Monday. It's unclear if Barkov will be given a second rest Tuesday versus the Lightning, in what could be a preview of a first-round playoff matchup. For the season, Barkov has 20 goals, 51 assists, 149 shots on net, 87 hits, 54 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 67 appearances, reaching the 70-point mark for the fourth straight season and the sixth time in his career.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Reaches 20-goal mark

Verhaeghe scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers.

Verhaeghe has three goals and two assists over his last four outings. He reached the 20-goal mark with that tally and now has 52 points, 242 shots on net, 94 hits, 46 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 80 appearances. It's been a rough regular season for Verhaeghe, at least compared to the previous two campaigns, but he has 55 points in 69 career playoff games, so he should be able to turn up the offense in the postseason.
