  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Scores in win over Carolina

Matthews scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes. He also added two hits and two blocked shots.

Matthews snapped a three-game goal skid with a slap shot midway through the second period, giving him 31 goals on the year. Furthermore, this was the 399th goal of his career. He has two games left in the regular season to reach the 400-goal plateau, and he should play in those contests since the Maple Leafs are too close to the cap to rest healthy players. Matthews will miss the 80-point mark for the first time in four seasons, though, so his overall numbers were a bit disappointing across the board compared to recent years.

  • T.J. Tynan C | COL

Avalanche's T.J. Tynan: Returned to minors

Tynan was loaned to AHL Colorado on Monday.

Tynan had one assist, four shots on goal, five hits and four blocked shots in nine NHL outings during the regular season. He has notched eight goals and 49 points in 50 minor-league appearances this campaign.

  • Sam Bennett C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Good to go

Bennett (upper body) will play against the Rangers on Monday, according to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now.

Following a four-game absence, Bennett will return to a top-six role and see time on the top power-play unit. He has accounted for 25 goals, 50 points, 237 shots on net and 144 hits across 74 appearances this season.

  • Panthers' Anton Lundell: Resting ahead of playoffs

Lundell will sit out Monday's game versus the Rangers, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Lundell was just three goals shy of reaching the 20-goal threshold, a mark he will likely miss without suiting up in Monday's contest. Still, the 23-year-old center has already set a personal bests in points (45) and power-play points (six) this season. He figures to be back in the lineup for the postseason, though he could return Tuesday versus the Lightning as well.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Set to suit up against Blueshirts

Reinhart (rest) is slated to return to action for Monday's game against the Rangers, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports.

After resting during Saturday's game against the Sabres, Reinhart was working with the first line during Monday's morning skate and should be back in action for the penultimate game of the regular season. Across his last 11 appearances, he's logged five goals, four assists, 22 hits, six blocked shots and a minus-7 rating while averaging 20:27 of ice time.

  • Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: SItting Monday

Luostarinen will be scratched for Monday's game versus the Rangers, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Luostarinen, along with linemates Anton Lundell and Brad Marchand, will be the latest trio to get some extra time off ahead of the postseason. In his 79 games this season, the 26-year-old Luostarinen has generated just nine goals and 15 helpers, his lowest point total since his eight-point rookie campaign in 2020-21. The Finnish winger should be back in the lineup by Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Slated to return Monday

Barkov (rest) is slated to return to action for Monday's game against the Rangers, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Barkov sat out Saturday's game against the Sabres due to rest purposes since the Panthers are already locked into a playoff spot. He's on track to return to the ice for the penultimate game of the regular season after working on the first line during Monday's morning skate. He's recorded points in seven of his last nine appearances, logging three goals, six assists, 15 hits and four PIM while averaging 19:40 of ice time across that span.

  • Riley Duran C | BOS

Bruins' Riley Duran: Sent down by Boston

Duran was assigned to AHL Providence on Monday, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.

Duran was called up by the Bruins on Thursday, and he made his first two NHL appearances during his time with Boston. He was held without a point but recorded six hits and two PIM while averaging 12:44 of ice time. He'll head back to the minors ahead of Boston's regular-season finale against New Jersey on Tuesday, while John Farinacci was recalled on an emergency basis Monday.

  • Devils' Marc McLaughlin: Promoted from minors

McLaughlin was called up from AHL Utica on Monday.

McLaughlin has yet to get into a game for the Devils this season after being acquired from the Bruins at the trade deadline in a minor-league swap. Prior to the trade, the 25-year-old center saw action in 12 games for the Bruins in which he generated two goals, 13 shots and 23 hits. With Paul Cotter likely headed for a suspension, there could be a spot in the lineup available for McLaughlin against the Bruins on Tuesday, though the Devils also have Curtis Lazar and Nolan Foote available to play.

  • Ducks' Nikita Nesterenko: Credited with helper

Nesterenko notched an assist and four hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Nesterenko ended his seven-game point drought with an assist on a Mason McTavish tally in the first period. The 23-year-old Nesterenko has seen his ice time fluctuate wildly late in the season -- his 15:46 on Sunday was his highest mark of the season, and it came just two games after he bottomed out at 4:59 versus the Flames on Wednesday. He's produced six points, 20 shots on net, 46 hits and a minus-4 rating over 20 appearances, a level of offense that suggests he's best suited to bottom-six duties.
