  • Bo Horvat C | NYI

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Provides game's only goal in win

Horvat netted an even-strength goal on a game-high six shots and went plus-1 in Sunday's 1-0 win over New Jersey.

Horvat was in the right place at the right time when he intercepted a Timo Meier pass in the slot and ripped a shot past Jacob Markstrom late in the second period. The 30-year-old Horvat has scored in back-to-back games, which puts him two goals shy of 30, a mark he has reached in three straight campaigns. New York has two games left on its schedule, so that feat remains a possibility for Horvat. The left-shot center has been productive at even strength in 2024-25, but just seven of his 57 points (28 goals, 29 helpers) have come on the power play, a considerable downturn from the 18 he garnered in 2023-24.

  • Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Tallies twice in third period

Sharangovich scored two goals on four shots in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.

Sharangovich put the Flames up 3-2 at 1:30 of the third period, and he added an empty-netter with less than three minutes to go. The 26-year-old's offense is coming alive at just the right time -- he has four goals over his last three games to help the Flames stay in the playoff race right down to the wire. Overall, he's up to 17 goals, 31 points, 126 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 71 appearances. Sharangovich has never missed the 30-point mark in his five NHL seasons, but it took some effort to get there while playing in a middle-six role this year.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Slides power-play assist Sunday

Scheifele notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal, two PIM and a minus-4 rating in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Oilers.

Scheifele has gotten on the scoresheet in 10 of the last 12 games, earning three goals and eight assists in that span. The center set up an Alex Iafallo goal in the second period. Scheifele is at 38 goals, 48 helpers, 177 shots on net, 73 hits, 58 blocked shots, 61 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 81 appearances. If he suits up Wednesday, it would be the third time that Scheifele will have played in all 82 games and his fifth season of playing in every available contest since he didn't miss a game in 2019-20 or 2020-21.

  • Derek Ryan C | EDM

Oilers' Derek Ryan: Chips in with helper

Ryan notched an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets.

Ryan is with the Oilers on an emergency recall since the team has four of its regular forwards unavailable. This was his first NHL game since March 26 and his first point since Jan. 4. The 38-year-old is at six points, 20 shots on net, 25 hits, 21 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 36 appearances. It's possible he stays with the big club for the playoffs, especially if AHL Bakersfield doesn't qualify for the minor-league postseason.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: One point from century mark

McDavid provided two assists, four shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets.

McDavid has nine helpers over three games since returning from a lower-body injury. He assisted on goals by Connor Brown and Viktor Arvidsson, which opened and closed the scoring in this contest. McDavid's now at 99 points (26 goals, 73 helpers) with 195 shots on net and a plus-19 rating across 66 appearances. The Oilers' injury situation will likely force McDavid to stay in the lineup for the last two regular-season games, but that should give him plenty of time to secure the eighth 100-point campaign of his career.

  • Sharks' Zack Ostapchuk: Contending with lower-body injury

Ostapchuk sustained a lower-body injury in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Calgary, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Head coach Ryan Warsofsky did not provide an update on Ostapchuk's status after the contest, which leaves the 21-year-old forward with a day-to-day designation. San Jose will be in Vancouver on Monday for the Sharks' penultimate game of the season. If Ostapchuk and Cameron Lund (illness) aren't available for that matchup, the Sharks will need to recall a forward from AHL San Jose on an emergency basis.

  • Oilers' Adam Henrique: Nets game-winner Sunday

Henrique scored a goal on three shots, added two hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets.

Henrique has earned five points over the last four games while seeing a bigger role amid the Oilers' recent injury woes. The 35-year-old's tally Sunday stood as the game-winner. He's now at 12 goals, 26 points, 102 shots on net, 81 blocked shots, 56 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 79 appearances. Henrique's value is as a defensive center, but he can chip in offense as well when called upon.

  • Connor Brown RW | NJ

Oilers' Connor Brown: Scores again in Sunday's win

Brown scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets.

The Connor connection worked again Sunday, as Brown's goal was set up by Connor McDavid to open the scoring at 0:59 of the second period. This was Brown's fourth goal in three games since joining McDavid on the top line, and it's a partnership that could last into the playoffs if it keeps yielding results. For the season, Brown has reached the 30-point mark (13 goals, 17 helpers) for the fifth time in his career and the first time since 2021-22. He's added 120 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 80 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nabs helper Sunday

Krebs logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.

Krebs has three helpers over his last six games. Prior to that, he had a stretch of six points over five contests, so this is a bit of a slowdown but nothing to be concerned about for a middle-six forward. The 24-year-old is at a career-high 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) while adding 75 shots on net, 130 hits, 32 blocked shots, 60 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 79 appearances this season.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Supplies helper Sunday

Thompson notched an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.

Thompson had gone eight games without an assist, though he was more than fine on offense with eight goals in that stretch. He set up a Jiri Kulich tally in the first period of Sunday's defeat. Thompson has been arguably the Sabres' best player this season with 44 goals, 28 assists, 235 shots on net, 69 hits and a plus-2 rating over 74 appearances. He'll likely close out the campaign on the top line.
