  • Sam Lafferty C | CHI

    Sabres' Sam Lafferty: Scores Sunday

Lafferty scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.

Lafferty netted a goal late in the third period, which didn't ultimately impact the result. He has two goals over eight contests since returning from a groin injury. The 30-year-old winger has been limited to part-time duties on the fourth line this season, picking up just four goals, three assists, 49 shots on net, 89 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-13 rating across 58 appearances.

  • Jiri Kulich C | BUF

Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Lights lamp in Sunday's loss

Kulich scored a goal in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.

Kulich has three points (one goal, two assists) over his last five games. He saw just 12:56 of ice time in this loss, which may be bad news for his ability to stay on the top line to close out the regular season. The 20-year-old has been decent in his rookie year, earning 15 goals, 24 points, 130 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating across 60 appearances.

  • Nick Paul C | TB

Lightning's Nick Paul: Registers helper in win

Paul logged an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.

Paul ended a five-game point drought with the helper on a Conor Geekie tally in the second period. The versatile Paul could be leaned on in more of a defensive role leading up to and early in the playoffs, as the Lightning are missing shutdown center Luke Glendening (upper body) and two-way winger Oliver Bjorkstrand (lower body). Paul is at 41 points, 138 shots on net, 64 hits, 31 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating over 74 appearances and can fill a variety of roles, primarily as a middle-six option.

  • Lightning's Gage Goncalves: Provides pair of helpers

Goncalves logged two assists and three hits in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.

Goncalves has turned the heat up on offense with three goals and three assists over his last five games. The 24-year-old forward is still working on consistency over longer stretches, but he can give fantasy managers a boost on offense when he's in a groove. For the season, he's produced 20 points (eight goals, 12 helpers) with 56 shots on net, 69 hits and a plus-8 rating over 58 appearances.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Picks up pair of helpers

Cirelli notched two assists and four shots on goal in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.

Cirelli had a hand in the Lightning's first two goals, scored by Jake Guentzel and Ryan McDonagh. With five points over his last three outings, Cirelli has rebounded from a lull that saw him log just one helper between March 27 and April 7, a span of six games. For the season, the two-way center is up to 27 goals, 31 assists, 157 shots on net, 72 blocked shots and a plus-30 rating over 78 appearances. Unless he's rested for one of the Lightning's last two regular-season games, he has a decent chance to earn his first 60-point campaign.

  • Lightning's Conor Geekie: Scores in return to NHL

Geekie scored a goal on four shots, doled out four hits and blocked two shots in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.

Geekie spent over two months with AHL Syracuse, working on further development after spending the first four months of the campaign in the NHL. He slotted onto the third line in his first game since getting called back up, and he scored at 14:21 of the second period. The 20-year-old could get a chance to play in the postseason since the Lightning are dealing with injuries to Oliver Bjorkstrand (lower body) and Luke Glendening (upper body). Geekie has seven goals, 13 points, 58 shots on net, 90 hits and a minus-4 rating over his first 50 NHL appearances.

  • Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Reaches 40-goal mark

Guentzel scored two goals, including one on the power play, on four shots in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.

With the two-goal effort, Guentzel reached the 40-goal mark for the third time in his career. He hadn't potted a goal in his last four outings prior to Sunday. The 30-year-old winger is at 79 points, including 28 on the power play, while adding 214 shots on net, 52 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating over 78 appearances. He'll have up to two more chances to secure the second 80-point campaign of his career.

  • Paul Cotter C | NJ

Devils' Paul Cotter: Facing possible suspension

Cotter will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for an illegal check to the head of the Islanders' Adam Pelech (upper body) on Sunday.

Cotter received a match penalty in the second period of Sunday's 1-0 loss as a result of his wrongdoing. The 25-year-old has never been suspended in his four-year NHL career, which could help his case. New Jersey has two matchups remaining on its regular-season schedule, and if Cotter receives a suspension, it's unlikely to be for more than two games.

  • Adam Lowry C | WPG

Jets' Adam Lowry: Receives day off

Lowry (rest) is not playing in Sunday's home game versus Edmonton, per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.

Lowry has registered 16 goals, 18 helpers and a plus-19 rating across 72 appearances in 2024-25. Morgan Barron will center the third line in Lowry's stead.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Recalled and in lineup Sunday

Toninato was brought up from AHL Manitoba and will be in the lineup Sunday versus the Oilers, according to Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.

Toninato has not recorded a point over four appearances with the Jets in 2024-25. The 31-year-old will center the fourth line Sunday due to Rasmus Kupari's (concussion) absence.
