  • Kent Johnson C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Kent Johnson: Two-point effort Saturday

Johnson delivered a goal and an assist in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Capitals.

Both points came in the first period as the Blue Jackets put the game away early. Johnson has gotten onto the scoresheet in three straight games as Columbus makes a desperate push to catch Montreal for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, and the 22-year-old has produced a goal and nine points over the last seven contests. Johnson needs two more goals in the Blue Jackets' last three games to reach 25 for the first time in his career.

  • Sean Monahan C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Two points against Caps

Monahan scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Capitals.

The veteran center set up Zach Werenski for what proved to be the game-winning goal just one minute into the first period, then potted his own tally early in the second. Monahan has been locked in since returning from a wrist injury in late March, producing five goals and 12 points over the last 10 contests. If the Blue Jackets somehow pull off a miraculous finish to the regular season and make the playoffs, the 30-year-old's contributions will have been a huge factor in that success.

  • Blue Jackets' Adam Fantilli: Lights lamp twice in big win

Fantilli scored two goals in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Capitals.

With the Blue Jackets needing to win out to have any hope of catching the Canadiens for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, Fantilli came through with a big performance as he found the back of the net late in the first period and early in the second. The third overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft has two multi-goal efforts in the last 10 games, a stretch in which he's collected six goals and eight points. The 20-year-old Fantilli has reached 50 points in a season for the first time in his career.

  • Martin Necas C | COL

Avalanche's Martin Necas: Earns power-play helper Saturday

Necas logged a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Kings.

This was Necas' second game back after he missed three due to an upper-body injury. The 26-year-old is healthy now, so he's playing, as the Avalanche left a number of players back in Colorado for rest or injury rehab in advance of their final regular-season road trip. Necas is up to 27 goals, 55 assists, 194 shots on net, 62 hits and a plus-4 rating over 78 contests between the Avalanche and the Hurricanes this season.

  • Zack Bolduc C | MON

Blues' Zachary Bolduc: Picks up helper Saturday

Bolduc notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Bolduc set up a Nick Leddy tally in the third period. While his offense has slowed down a bit, Bolduc is still making a decent impact from the third line. He has eight points, 29 shots, 25 hits and 17 PIM over his last 12 outings, and he's now at 34 points, 116 shots on net, 108 hits and a plus-20 rating across 71 appearances this season.

  • Jordan Kyrou C | STL

Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Generates helper Saturday

Kyrou provided an assist, fired five shots on goal and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Kyrou has three goals and three helpers over six outings in April. The winger helped out on a Colton Parayko tally in the third period. Kyrou is up to 34 goals, 34 assists, 235 shots on net and a plus-22 rating across 81 appearances. It's not quite a career year, but he's had no fewer than 67 points in any of his last four campaigns, so he's firmly in the group of reliable NHL scorers at 26 years old.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Takes point streak up to 11

Thomas recorded an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Thomas set up Colton Parayko for a goal in the defenseman's return from a knee injury. The helper extended Thomas' point streak to 11 games, a span in which he has four goals and 19 assists. The 25-year-old center is up to 79 points, 143 shots on net and a plus-19 rating over 69 appearances. Despite missing time due to a broken ankle earlier in the year, Thomas has a chance to reach the 80-point mark for the second season in a row. To do it, he'll need to extend his point streak in the Blues' regular-season finale versus Utah on Tuesday.

  • Radek Faksa C | DAL

Blues' Radek Faksa: Lights lamp in shootout loss

Faksa scored a goal and went minus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Faksa ended a seven-game point drought with the tally, which was his first goal since March 16 versus the Ducks. He had two assists over the 12 contests between goals. The 31-year-old center is up to five goals, 15 points, 68 shots on net, 114 hits, 50 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 69 appearances. This is the third-lowest point total of his 10-year career, ahead of only the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign (14 points in 55 games) and his rookie year (12 points in 45 outings).

  • Kraken's Michael Eyssimont: Scores in shootout win

Eyssimont scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Blues.

Eyssimont has two goals over six outings in April. The 28-year-old remains in the Kraken's bottom six, but he's done fairly well in limited minutes with six points over 19 outings. Overall, he's earned 16 points, 142 shots on net, 110 hits, 63 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 76 appearances between the Kraken and the Lightning.

  • Shane Wright C | SEA

Kraken's Shane Wright: Sends game to overtime

Wright scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Blues.

Wright's tally 9:53 into the third period forced overtime after the teams exchanged four goals in a span of 3:09. The 21-year-old center has two goals and an assist over six outings in April. For the season, he's up to 19 goals, 43 points, 91 shots on net, 61 blocked shots, 54 hits and a plus-5 rating across 78 appearances. He's blossomed into a reliable two-way center in his first full campaign, though Wright could stand to shoot the puck more.
