  • Nic Dowd C | LV

Capitals' Nic Dowd: Sets career high in points

Dowd tallied a goal, fired three shots on net, blocked three shots and dished out three hits in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win over Carolina.

Dowd found the back of the net for Washington's third goal of the night and was the first of two twine finders in 38 seconds late in the second period. Thursday's goal helped Dowd set a new career high in points, besting the 25 he recorded in 2022-23. Overall, the 34-year-old Dowd has 14 goals, 26 points and 122 hits in 78 appearances this season. While Dowd lacks high-end fantasy value, he's ending the season on a high note with a new personal best for his resume and a solid five points and 19 hits in his last 15 games.

  • Dylan Strome C | WAS

Capitals' Dylan Strome: Notches power-play goal

Strome scored a power-play goal and tallied three shots on net in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.

Strome lit the lamp for Washington's second power-play goal of the night and the team's first tally of the second period. Overall, the 28-year-old center has 26 goals, 77 points and 137 shots on net in 78 appearances this season. With Thursday's tally, Strome extended his point streak to six games in which he has three markers and six helpers in that span. Strome is paying dividends for fantasy managers who took the top-line center at the start of the season. He is currently tied for 25th in points with Tampa Bay's Jake Guentzel. With a few games left in the regular season, Strome has a chance to reach the 80-point mark for the first time in his career. He has excellent value in all fantasy formats for the remainder of this year's action.

  • Jets' Jaret Anderson-Dolan: Lends helper Thursday

Anderson-Dolan notched an assist, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Stars.

This was Anderson-Dolan's first point in four NHL outings this season. He's been with the big club a few times for depth purposes, but this is the first time he's gotten steady playing time. He's added two shots on net, 16 hits, three blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. The 25-year-old is unlikely to see anything more than fourth-line usage.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Sets career high in points

Scheifele notched an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Stars.

Scheifele has three goals and seven assists over his last 10 outings, getting on the scoresheet in nine of those games. The 32-year-old center is up to a career-high 85 points (38 goals, 47 assists) through 79 contests this season. The Jets need just one more standings point over their last three regular-season games to clinch the top seed in the Western Conference, and it's unclear if Scheifele will be a candidate to be rested once they take care of that last bit of business.

  • Ross Colton C | COL

Avalanche's Ross Colton: Will miss next two games

Colton (undisclosed) won't join the Avalanche for their upcoming road trip, which encompasses Colorado's final two games of the regular season, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports Friday.

The Avalanche will play in Los Angeles on Saturday and in Anaheim on Sunday. Given that Colton isn't an option for those matches, he'll conclude the regular season with 16 goals, 29 points, 145 hits and 42 blocks in 61 appearances. Colton, who also missed the Avalanche's past two games, might still be an option for the start of the playoffs.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Officially out for road trip

MacKinnon (undisclosed) won't travel with the Avalanche ahead of their upcoming two-game road trip to close out the regular season, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports Friday.

MacKinnon missed Thursday's game against the Canucks due to an undisclosed injury, and he was already deemed doubtful for Colorado's final two regular-season games. He'll officially be sidelined for the back-to-back set over the weekend and will shift his focus toward getting healthy ahead of the postseason. The Avalanche have already clinched a playoff berth, so it seems likely that MacKinnon's absence is precautionary, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him return once postseason play begins.

  • Matt Rempe C | NYR

Rangers' Matt Rempe: Bags assist in win

Rempe notched an assist, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 9-2 win over the Islanders.

This was Rempe's first point in three contests since returning from a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury. The 22-year-old ended his seven-game point drought with the helper. He's up to six points, 26 shots on net, 112 hits, 63 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 39 appearances. He'll be in the mix for bottom-six minutes again in 2025-26, though he'll need a new contract as a pending restricted free agent.

  • Sam Carrick C | BUF

Rangers' Sam Carrick: Provides two assists Thursday

Carrick notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 9-2 win over the Islanders.

Carrick was one of 10 Rangers to log multiple points. He got involved later in the game, assisting on both of Brett Berard's third-period goals. This ended a 15-game point drought for Carrick, who has largely stayed in a bottom-six role despite the lack of offense. For the season, the 33-year-old center is at a career-best 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) while adding 81 shots on net, 136 hits, 42 blocked shots, 58 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 78 appearances.

  • John Hayden C | SEA

    Kraken's John Hayden: On waivers

Hayden was put on waivers by Seattle on Friday.

Hayden has a goal and two points in 19 appearances with the Kraken this campaign. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll presumably be sent to AHL Coachella Valley, where he's provided 11 goals and 27 points across 43 outings in 2024-25.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Puts up pair of assists

Miller recorded two assists, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 9-2 win over the Islanders.

Miller stayed hot by assisting on goals from linemates Mika Zibanejad and Will Cuylle in the first period. The 32-year-old Miller has four goals and eight assists over his last nine outings while staying firmly in the top six. The center has 65 points (21 on the power play), 130 shots on net, 167 hits, 50 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 69 appearances between the Rangers and the Canucks this season. While it's not much compared to his 103-point campaign a year ago, Miller remains a good source of all-around production in fantasy.
