  • Kyle Palmieri RW | NYI

Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: One of each in loss

Palmieri scored a power-play goal on three shots, added an assist and went minus-2 in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Palmieri has three goals and three helpers over his last seven games, though two of those contests have been multi-point efforts. The 34-year-old is still one of the Islanders' more reliable scorers despite his lack of streaks recently. He's up to 23 goals, 47 points (nine on the power play), 151 shots on net, 51 hits, 39 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 73 games this season.

  • Kings' Alex Turcotte: Still sidelined

Turcotte (upper body) will remain sidelined against the Sharks on Sunday, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Turcotte will miss his fourth consecutive game, with his next chance to return to the lineup coming Tuesday versus the Jets. The left-shot forward has produced eight goals, 15 assists and a plus-8 rating over 64 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Tyson Jost C | NSH

Hurricanes' Tyson Jost: Produces pair of assists Sunday

Jost recorded two assists and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Islanders.

Jost drew into the lineup for Jordan Staal (lower body) after being a healthy scratch Friday versus the Canadiens. The 27-year-old Jost has four assists across his last six games despite primarily serving in a fourth-line role. The odds aren't great for him to keep his offense rolling in the long run, but he's emerged as a reliable depth forward for the Hurricanes. He's at six points, 27 shots on net, 36 hits and a plus-2 rating through 30 appearances this season.

  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Finds twine in win

Jankowski scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Islanders.

Jankowski had been held off the scoresheet in his previous two games, matching his longest dry spell as a Hurricane. He seems to be a real fit for head coach Rod Brind'Amour's system, even though Jankowski is mostly limited to fourth-line duties. The 30-year-old center is up to 11 goals (seven with Carolina), 16 points and a plus-6 rating through 51 appearances between the Hurricanes and the Predators this season.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Pots goal Sunday

Stankoven scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Islanders.

Stankoven tallied 13 seconds after Mark Jankowski opened the scoring for the Hurricanes. This was Stankoven's first goal since March 9, which was his Carolina debut following a trade from Dallas. The 22-year-old has settled in as a middle-six option with his new team, earning five points over 10 contests. He's up to 11 goals, 23 assists, 170 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-1 rating over 69 appearances this season.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Scores twice Sunday

Jarvis scored two goals, including one while shorthanded, on six shots in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Islanders.

Jarvis has gotten on the scoresheet in 10 of the last 11 games, and his last two outings have been multi-point efforts. The 23-year-old is up to 29 tallies, 58 points, 177 shots on net, 88 hits, 48 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating through 66 contests. He continues to shine as an all-situations player -- he's earned 16 power-play points and seven shorthanded points this season.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Could return during road trip

Head coach Kris Knoblauch said Sunday that McDavid (lower body) won't travel with the Oilers for the start of their road trip that begins Tuesday in Vegas, but the 28-year-old could return at some point during the trip, Derek Van Diest of NHL.com reports.

McDavid has already missed four games due to his lower-body injury, and Knoblauch said that the center will presumably be sidelined for the first two games of Edmonton's road trip. As a result, it's safe to assume that McDavid will be unavailable Tuesday against the Golden Knights and Thursday against the Sharks. However, he's expected to return before the end of the regular season, which should give him some time to get back into a rhythm before the start of the playoffs.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Sitting out Sunday

Staal (lower body) won't play against the Islanders on Sunday.

Staal is mired in a six-game point drought and won't get a chance to snap that skid Sunday. He has 12 goals, 33 points, 99 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and 127 hits across 71 appearances this season. Tyson Jost will replace Staal in Sunday's lineup.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Won't play against Ottawa

Malkin (upper body) won't be in the lineup versus the Senators on Sunday, according to Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff.

Malkin will miss his third straight game. Based on Saturday's practice, Rickard Rakell will center the second line against Ottawa. Malkin has collected 15 goals, 46 points and 108 shots on net in 62 appearances this season. His next chance to play will be against St. Louis on Thursday.

  • Sam Lafferty C | CHI

Sabres' Sam Lafferty: Good to go

Lafferty (groin) will return to the lineup against Washington on Sunday.

After missing the last four games, Lafferty will replace Isak Rosen on the fourth line. The 30-year-old Lafferty has two goals, five points, 42 shots on net and 80 hits in 50 appearances this season.
