  • Matt Duchene C | DAL

Stars' Matt Duchene: Lights lamp in win

Duchene scored a goal in Monday's 3-0 win over the Wild.

Duchene's 27th goal of the campaign gave the Stars a 2-0 lead just 58 seconds after Wyatt Johnston's opener. Duchene has been outstanding in recent weeks, and while this goal snapped a three-game goalless drought, it also extended his point streak to five contests. Furthermore, Duchene has cracked the scoresheet in all but two of his appearances this month, tallying three goals and eight assists in 11 March contests.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Nets power-play goal

Johnston scored a power-play goal in Monday's 3-0 win over the Wild.

Johnston opened the scoring for the Stars at the 15:01 mark of the first period by deflecting a shot from Thomas Harley, as the 21-year-old forward once again left his mark on the power play for Dallas. This was Johnston's 26th goal of the campaign, and 10 of those have come with the man advantage. Johnston is ending the regular season on a strong note and has racked up 11 points across his last 11 appearances, with eight goals and three helpers over that span.

  • Sean Monahan C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Two helpers in return

Monahan collected two assists, one shorthanded, in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Islanders.

Seeing his first game action since Jan. 7 after recovering from a wrist issue, Monahan made an immediate impact for the Blue Jackets as they try to stay in the playoff chase. The 30-year-old slotted right back in on the first power-play unit, and he could be poised for a productive finish to the regular season after delivering 14 goals and 43 points in his 42 appearances so far.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Dealing with nagging injury

Norris (undisclosed) said he is day-to-day and plans to return before the end of the regular season, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports Tuesday.

Hamilton also relayed that Norris said his undisclosed injury is something that has been bothersome on and off all season, and it recently popped up again. The Sabres are all but mathematically eliminated from postseason contention, so Norris will more than likely be given all the time he needs to make a full recovery.

  • Pius Suter C | STL

Canucks' Pius Suter: Two-point effort Monday

Suter produced a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Devils.

The 28-year-old opened the scoring midway through the first period, then set up Conor Garland for the goal that forced OT with just 36 seconds left in the third. Suter centered Vancouver's top line Monday with both Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (concussion) sidelined, but Suter has been making an impact of late even in a lesser role, picking up five goals and seven points over the last seven games.

  • Sam Lafferty C | CHI

    Sabres' Sam Lafferty: Unavailable Tuesday

Lafferty (groin) isn't expected to return Tuesday versus Ottawa, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.

Lafferty didn't attend the morning skate. He has two goals, five points, 26 PIM and 80 hits in 50 outings in 2024-25. When Lafferty is healthy, he'll be in the mix for a fourth-line spot.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Remains out Tuesday

Norris (undisclosed) will miss Tuesday's clash against Ottawa, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.

Norris also won't participate in the morning skate, so it doesn't sound like he's close to returning. He hasn't played since March 12. Norris has 21 goals, 35 points, 44 PIM and 135 hits between Ottawa and Buffalo in 2024-25.

  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Will miss at least three games

Hertl (shoulder) did not travel with Vegas for its upcoming three-game road trip, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Monday.

Hertl was injured in Sunday's 4-2 win over Tampa Bay after being boarded by Emil Lilleberg. Hertl won't be available for at least the next three games, so William Karlsson figures to slide into a top-six role in the interim, while Tanner Pearson or Cole Schwindt could receive more playing time in the bottom six. Hertl shouldn't be expected to return to the lineup until at least April 1 versus Edmonton. The left-shot center has racked up 31 goals and 59 points over 70 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Finds twine in Sunday's win

Kozak scored a power-play goal and added three hits in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Jets.

Kozak's tally came right at the end of a power play in the third period. He doesn't normally see much time with the man advantage, and he shouldn't be expected to make a significant impact in that area. He's up to two goals, nine shots on net, 19 hits and 22 blocked shots over 16 NHL appearances in 2024-25, mainly as a fourth-line center.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Out for remainder of trip

Pettersson (undisclosed) returned to Vancouver and will miss the remainder of the team's road trip this week, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports Monday.

That timeline rules out Pettersson for at least the next four games, starting with Monday's matchup versus New Jersey. He had three goals and six assists during a six-game point streak before getting hurt in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers. With Pettersson and Nils Hoglander (undisclosed) unavailable, Pius Suter will center the top line, while Aatu Raty and Linus Karlsson will occupy bottom-six roles against the Devils.
