  • Sharks' Carl Berglund: Heads to San Jose

Berglund and a conditional 2026 first-round pick were traded to the Sharks from the Oilers in exchange for Jake Walman.

Berglund is a 25-year-old forward who has yet to make his NHL debut. The Swede has a modest 12 points over 45 outings with AHL Bakersfield, his first full campaign with that team. He'll report to AHL San Jose, but his chances of seeing NHL action in 2024-25 are slim.

  • Jake Evans C | MON

Canadiens' Jake Evans: Notches helper Thursday

Evans posted an assist and two hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers.

This was Evans' first game since he signed a four-year contract extension, which effectively took him off the trade board. The 28-year-old has two points over three outings in March. He won't be the most consistent scorer, but Evans has proven his value as a defensive forward who can handle the grinding work of a bottom-six role. He's matched his career high with 29 points through just 62 appearances, and he's added 59 shots on net, 95 hits, 43 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating this season. Those numbers put Evans on the fringe in most fantasy formats, but he can be helpful in deeper leagues.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Logs power-play helper

Nugent-Hopkins notched a power-play assist and three hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens.

The helper snapped a four-game point drought for Nugent-Hopkins. Despite his lack of offense lately, he remains in a top-six role -- he saw a hefty 22:42 of ice time Thursday and has been over the 20-minute mark in three of his last four games. For the season, the 31-year-old has had a somewhat disappointing output, producing 38 points, 118 shots on net, 39 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 61 appearances. He won't match last year's 67-point campaign, but the 50-point mark is still within reach.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Supplies two more helpers

McDavid notched two assists and three shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens.

McDavid is starting to pick up the pace again. He's on a six-game point streak (one goal, seven helpers), and this was his second multi-point effort in a row after having just one across the previous 11 contests since his three-game suspension in late January. The superstar center is up to 23 goals, 56 helpers, 173 shots on net, 35 hits, 29 PIM and a plus-1 rating across 56 appearances this season. While he's on pace for his worst scoring total since the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign, McDavid is still expected to cross the 100-point threshold for the eighth time in his career.

  • Nick Paul C | TB

Lightning's Nick Paul: First two-point game since January

Paul scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sabres.

It was a dirty goal -- Paul's first-period centering pass attempt deflected off Connor Clifton's skate and past Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. It was Paul's first multi-point game since Jan. 20. He has 19 goals, 16 assists and 99 shots over 56 games this season.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Lucky 13-game point streak

Draisaitl scored a power-play goal on four shots and added an assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens.

It's a third straight multi-point effort for Draisaitl, who has accumulated 11 goals and nine assists, as well as nine power-play points, during his 13-game point streak. He put the Oilers ahead 2-1 with his goal in the second period and added a helper on Evan Bouchard's game-winner in overtime. Despite the excellent performance Thursday, Draisaitl lost ground in the Art Ross race after Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon put up a five-point game. Draisaitl is now at 46 goals, 94 points, 29 power-play points, 207 shots on net and a plus-25 rating through 62 appearances.

  • Flames' Blake Coleman: Gets on scoresheet in overtime loss

Coleman notched an assist and two hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars.

Coleman's offense surged with 12 points over 13 outings in January, but it crashed just as hard -- prior to Wednesday, he had gone 11 games without a point. The 33-year-old snapped the drought by setting up Joel Farabee's first-period tally. Coleman reached the 30-point mark for the seventh year in a row, and while he has an outside chance at 40, he won't come anywhere near his 30-goal, 54-point effort from 2023-24. The veteran checking forward has added 147 shots on net, 127 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 62 appearances this season.

  • Flames' Mikael Backlund: Snaps goal drought

Backlund scored a goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars.

Backlund had gone 15 games without a goal, and he was limited to two assists with a minus-10 rating in that span. Despite his struggles on offense, he remains in a top-six role -- it's not like the Flames have better centers who can match Backlund's two-way skills. The 35-year-old has 11 goals, 23 points, 143 shots on net, 39 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 62 appearances this season. In previous years, he's been a strong second-half player, but it doesn't look like he'll be able to tap into that magic in 2024-25.

  • Matt Duchene C | DAL

Stars' Matt Duchene: Helps out in overtime

Duchene logged an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flames.

Duchene has four points over his last four contests. His helper came late Thursday as the secondary assist on Jason Robertson's tally 4:17 into overtime. The Stars' offense has been clicking lately -- this was the first time since Feb. 4 they scored under four goals. Over his last nine outings, Duchene is responsible for seven goals and seven assists, including six power-play points. The center is up to 25 goals, 38 helpers, 114 shots on net and a plus-10 rating through 62 appearances.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Another multi-point effort

Johnston scored a goal on four shots, added an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flames.

Johnston stretched his point streak to eight games, as well as his goal streak to four games, in this performance. The 21-year-old has earned eight goals and six assists during the point streak, and he has multiple points in three straight contests. He's up to 23 tallies, 59 points, 169 shots on net and a plus-8 rating over 62 appearances. From a scoring perspective, he's been incredibly reliable in recent weeks, and fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to have him in their lineups despite a relative lack of non-scoring production.
