  • Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Slated to play Wednesday

Rakell (lower body) is expected to play against Italy on Wednesday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.

Rakell sat out Pittsburgh's 5-2 loss to Buffalo on Thursday before the Olympic break, but he will be available to play in Sweden's tournament opener. He has been skating alongside Elias Pettersson and Mika Zibanejad during practices. The 32-year-old Rakell has 10 goals, 24 points, 103 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and 50 hits across 35 NHL appearances this season.

  • Martin Necas C | COL

Avalanche's Martin Necas: Good to go

Necas (lower body) will be available to play against Canada on Thursday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, per Dominik Dubovci of hokej.cz.

Necas skated on Czechia's top line alongside David Pastrnak and Tomas Hertl during Sunday's practice. The 27-year-old Necas missed Colorado's final three games before the Olympic break, but he will be good to go for the start of the tournament. He has amassed 22 goals, 62 points, 124 shots on net and 57 hits across 52 NHL appearances this season.

  • Flyers' Jett Luchanko: Goal, assist in OHL win

Luchanko scored a goal and added an assist in OHL Brantford's 5-2 win over Kingston on Sunday.

Luchanko's scoring pace has dropped since he was traded to the Bulldogs. He posted 17 points (two goals, 15 assists) in 11 games with Guelph before the trade, but he's picked up just four goals and 11 helpers over 19 contests with Brantford. That puts him at 31 points in 30 appearances, down from his 1.22 points per game pace in the 2024-25 regular season. Luchanko still has time to find a groove for his production, though he'll likely be doing so in the AHL in 2026-27.

  • Jack Hughes C | NJ

Devils' Jack Hughes: Ready to rock

Hughes (lower body) will be available to play for the United States against Latvia on Thursday, Bill Price of NHL.com reports.

Hughes missed New Jersey's final three games before the break, but he will be good to go for the beginning of the 2026 Winter Olympics. He was a full participant in Sunday's practice and feels fine to return to action. Hughes has compiled 12 goals, 36 points and 127 shots on net through 36 NHL outings this season.

  • Golden Knights' Raphael Lavoie: Two goals in AHL overtime loss

Lavoie scored twice in AHL Henderson's 4-3 overtime loss to Coachella Valley on Saturday.

Lavoie has earned four points over three games since returning from missing about two and a half months. The forward has been productive when healthy with nine goals, nine assists and 75 shots on net in 17 appearances this season. He has come up empty on offense in 16 career NHL outings, but if he continues to play well, he could get a look with the Golden Knights later in the season.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Big game Saturday

Morrison scored twice and added two assists in AHL Coachella Valley's 4-3 overtime win over Henderson on Saturday.

Morrison put himself back over the point-per-game mark and set a career high in points with this effort. The 23-year-old is up to 23 goals, 46 points, 107 shots on net and a plus-19 rating over 45 appearances this season. He's earned at least 40 points in each of his first three AHL campaigns, but he's set to take his game to a much higher level in 2025-26.

  • Kevin Rooney C | UTA

Mammoth's Kevin Rooney: Collects three points for Tucson

Rooney scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Tucson's 6-5 overtime win over Calgary on Saturday.

Rooney's been a regular to move between leagues this season, leaving him little chance for momentum at either level. He's up to 14 points, 41 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 24 appearances for the Roadrunners. He has a goal in his lone game for the Mammoth, but he has often been a healthy scratch when in the NHL.

  • Mason Shaw C | WPG

Jets' Mason Shaw: Nets two goals in AHL loss

Shaw scored twice in AHL Manitoba's 4-3 loss to Texas on Saturday.

Shaw reached the 30-point mark on the season with this effort. He's now at 15 goals, 15 assists and a plus-11 rating through 41 appearances. He's earned six goals and two assists during his seven-game point streak.

  • Canucks' Braeden Cootes: Three more points Saturday

Cootes scored a goal and added two assists in WHL Prince Albert's 5-2 win over Brandon on Saturday.

Cootes is finding a rhythm now -- he's scored in four straight games and has a total of 16 points over his last nine contests. The Canucks prospect is up to 18 goals, 45 points and a plus-16 rating through 32 WHL appearances between Prince Albert and Seattle this season.

  • Liam Foudy C | NYI

Islanders' Liam Foudy: Hat trick in AHL win

Foudy scored three goals in AHL Bridgeport's 5-1 win over Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

Foudy recorded a 10-game point streak from Jan. 10 to Feb. 1. He then went two contests without a point before erupting for the hat trick Saturday. He's been a steady scorer so far with 17 goals and 10 assists over 34 appearances in his second year with Bridgeport.
