  • Lightning's Gage Goncalves: Back with big club

Goncalves was called up from AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.

Goncalves was on a roll prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off, earning five assists over his previous six games. The 24-year-old figures to fill a supporting role moving forward once the Lightning resume play Sunday versus the Kraken.

  • Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Set to miss 2-3 weeks

Dickinson (ankle) will be unavailable for another 2-3 weeks, according to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times on Tuesday.

Dickinson has missed the last two games and could be out well into March. He has produced seven goals, 16 points, 52 shots on net, 49 blocked shots and 93 hits across 53 appearances this season. Philipp Kurashev has been playing during Dickinson's absence.

  • Noah Gregor C | FLA

    Senators' Noah Gregor: Practices Tuesday

Gregor (lower body) practiced Tuesday and could return to the lineup against Montreal on Saturday, according to TSN 1200 Ottawa.

Barring any setbacks, Gregor feels ready to return from a 16-game absence versus the Canadiens. He has contributed four goals, six points, 42 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and 67 hits across 35 appearances this season. Gregor will probably occupy a bottom-six role in Saturday's game if Ottawa activates him from long-term injured reserve.

  • Tyson Jost C | NSH

Hurricanes' Tyson Jost: Might return Saturday

Jost (lower body) looking to play in Saturday's matchup with Toronto, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Jost has been sidelined since Dec. 31, a stretch of 19 games on the shelf due to his lower-body injury. If activated off injured reserve ahead of Saturday's clash, Jost will likely slot into a fourth-line role alongside Jack Roslovic and Eric Robinson.

  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Practices, aims to play Saturday

Hischier (upper body) participated in Tuesday's practice and hopes to play versus Dallas on Saturday, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.

Hischier has missed the last six games and currently remains on injured reserve. He has amassed 24 goals, 43 points, 141 shots on net and 46 blocked shots through 51 appearances this season. If Hischier returns to action versus the Stars, he will presumably occupy a top-six role and see time on the top power-play combination.

  • Collin Graf RW | SJ

Sharks' Collin Graf: Called up Tuesday

Graf was recalled from AHL San Jose on Tuesday.

Graf has scored just one goal in 13 NHL games this year while adding two assists, 11 hits and 11 shots. With his promotion, the 22-year-old winger should be in the mix for a middle-six spot heading into Sunday's clash with Calgary, though he is far from a lock to play.

  • Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Summoned from Providence

Poitras was recalled from AHL Providence on Tuesday.

Poitras was sent to the minors prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament. The right-shot center has chipped in one goal and 10 assists through 26 games with the Bruins this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Set to play in 4 Nations Final

Matthews (upper body) is expected to play in Thursday's 4 Nations Face-Off matchup versus Canada, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Matthews sat out Monday's 2-1 loss to Sweden but will return to a top-six role and a spot on the first power-play unit versus Canada on Thursday. He has one assist and two shots on goal over two outings in the tournament.

  • Penguins' Emil Bemstrom: Brought up from minors

Bemstrom was called up from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Tuesday.

Bemstrom's promotion is no doubt in part due to the absence of Sidney Crosby, who is still with Team Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off. Unless there are several forwards who remain unavailable against Washington on Saturday, Bemstrom figures to serve as a healthy scratch -- assuming he is still on the NHL roster come puck drop.

  • Alex Steeves C | BOS

Maple Leafs' Alex Steeves: Gets recalled Tuesday

Steeves was recalled from AHL Toronto on Tuesday.

Steeves last made an appearance with the Maple Leafs on Nov. 27. He could be sent back down once the team gets a few players back from the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament, but he'll provide added depth in the meantime.
