  • Cole Clayton D | VAN

Canucks' Cole Clayton: Called up from AHL

Clayton was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Thursday.

Clayton was acquired from San Jose on Jan. 19 as part of the Kiefer Sherwood trade. Clayton had two goals and five assists in 49 AHL games, split between Abbotsford and AHL San Jose, before his recall. The Canucks could make a few deals before the trade deadline Friday, and that would leave them shorthanded on the blue line if Clayton were not recalled at this time.

  • Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Game-time decision Thursday

Sergachev (undisclosed) will be a game-time call in Philadelphia on Thursday, per Cole Bagley of KSL Sports.

Sergachev did not partake in the morning skate, as head coach Andre Tourigny said he sat out for maintenance reasons. Sergachev has 10 goals and 32 assists over 61 games this season. The Mammoth recalled Dmitri Simashev on Thursday and he will join the lineup if Sergachev is unable to go.

  • Dante Fabbro D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Dante Fabbro: Considered game-time decision

Fabbro is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Panthers for an undisclosed reason, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Fabbro was absent from Thursday's morning skate for an undisclosed reason, and the Blue Jackets will monitor his status in the hours leading up to puck drop before determining his status. If Fabbro is unavailable against Florida, Jake Christiansen will likely enter the lineup.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Game-time call

Werenski (illness) will be a game-time decision against Florida on Thursday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Werenski has missed the last two games. He is on a nine-game point streak, tallying two goals and 11 assists. Overall, Werenski has 20 goals and 65 points across 54 appearances this season and should get plenty of Norris Trophy consideration at the end of the season. Head coach Rick Bowness said that Werenski would not return until he is 100 percent, and that could make a return Saturday versus Utah a better scenario.

  • Nick Seeler D | PHI

Flyers' Nick Seeler: Won't play Thursday

Seeler (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Mammoth, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Seeler was expected to be a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup after suffering his lower-body injury Monday against Toronto, but he was ruled out shortly after the Flyers' morning skate. Noah Juulsen is a candidate to enter the lineup against Utah, while Seeler's next opportunity to return will be Saturday against the Penguins.

  • Mammoth's Dmitri Simashev: Recalled from AHL

Simashev was summoned from AHL Tucson on Thursday.

Simashev was selected sixth overall by the franchise in 2023 and the 21-year-old has played 24 games this season at the NHL level, picking up one assist and 26 blocked shots. He has been more successful for Tucson this season, potting eight goals and 20 assists in 30 appearances. The Mammoth acquired MacKenzie Weegar from Calgary on Wednesday, but it will take time to process his visa. The Mammoth currently have six defensemen on the roster, as Olli Maatta was dealt to the Flames in the Weegar deal, necessitating the recall of Simashev.

  • Red Wings' Simon Edvinsson: Two points in OT loss

Edvinsson scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

Both points came in the first period as Detroit jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but it slipped away late. It was Edvinsson's first multi-point performance since Dec. 20, and while the 23-year-old blueliner isn't yet supplying consistent offense for the Wings, he's hardly been a disappointment. Over 52 games this season, Edvinsson's delivered eight goals, 20 points, 113 blocked shots, 68 hits, 67 PIM, 63 shots on net and a plus-8 rating.

  • Golden Knights' Rasmus Andersson: Two helpers in OT win

Andersson notched two assists, one on the power play, in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Red Wings.

With the Golden Knights down 3-1 with less than nine minutes left in the third period, Andersson helped set up an Ivan Barbashev tally that sparked a rally, before also having a hand in Tomas Hertl's OT winner. Andersson snapped a five-game point drought with the performance, and it was the first time in 13 contests for Vegas that he's recorded multiple points. Since the trade that brought him over from Calgary, the 29-year-old blueliner has one goal and six points, although he's earned his keep with 28 blocked shots.

  • Filip Hronek D | VAN

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Three points in loss

Hronek scored a goal on two shots, dished two assists, added four hits and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Hronek was a bright spot despite the loss. He scored in the first period and then helped out on tallies by Brock Boeser (on the power play) and Nils Hoglander over the final two frames. Hronek had gone six games without a point prior to Wednesday. The defenseman is now at six goals, 29 helpers, 88 shots on net, 101 hits, 82 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 61 appearances this season, production nearly identical to what he did last year.

  • Sean Walker D | CAR

Hurricanes' Sean Walker: One of each Wednesday

Walker scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two PIM and blocked three shots in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Canucks.

Walker has a goal and three assists during a three-game point streak, his longest of the season. With Wednesday's effort, he's up to 18 points in 61 appearances, surpassing the 16 points he had in all 82 regular-season contests a year ago. Walker has added 129 shots on net, 99 hits, 93 blocked shots, 51 PIM and a minus-2 rating while playing in a top-four role at even strength.
