  • Flames' Zach Whitecloud: Heading to Calgary

Whitecloud, Abram Wiebe, a 2027 first-round pick and a conditional 2028 second-round pick were traded to the Flames from the Golden Knights on Sunday in exchange for Rasmus Andersson, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Whitecloud had been with the Golden Knights since signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2018, but he'll be on the move ahead of the Olympic break in early February. The 29-year-old has recorded two goals, five assists, 73 hits, 63 blocked shots and 20 PIM while averaging 18:46 of ice time over 47 appearances with Vegas this year, and he should have an opportunity to carve out a prominent role with the Flames over the second half of the season.

  • Golden Knights' Rasmus Andersson: Dealt to Vegas

Andersson was traded to the Golden Knights from the Flames on Sunday in exchange for Zach Whitecloud, Abram Wiebe, a 2027 first-round pick and a conditional 2028 second-round pick, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Andersson drew plenty of trade interest from around the league recently, and he'll ultimately head to Vegas. The Flames will retain 50 percent of his contract, and although he's slated to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2025-26 campaign, he'll join the Golden Knights without a contract extension in place. The 29-year-old has recorded 10 goals, 20 assists, 90 blocked shots, 53 PIM and 29 blocked shots while averaging 2:37 of power-play ice time over 48 appearances with Calgary this year.

  • Lane Hutson D | MON

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Racks up three more assists

Hutson logged three assists, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Senators.

Hutson has seven helpers over his last six games, though he hasn't scored a goal in that span. One of his assists Saturday came on the power play. The 21-year-old blueliner has completely avoided a sophomore slump, totaling eight goals, 42 assists, 14 power-play points, 82 blocked shots, 80 shots on net and a plus-16 rating over 49 contests in his second NHL campaign.

  • Canadiens' Alexandre Carrier: Finds twine Saturday

Carrier scored a goal and blocked four shots in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Senators.

Carrier provided a clutch goal, tying the game with 3:19 left in the third period. The 29-year-old defenseman has three goals and three assists over his last eight outings. He won't keep up that scoring pace, but he is an important part of the Canadiens' defensive structure as the team's best shutdown blueliner. For the season, Carrier has contributed four goals, 11 assists, 35 shots on net, 113 blocked shots, 21 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 49 appearances.

  • Bruins' Billy Sweezey: Summoned from minors

Sweezey was recalled from AHL Providence on Sunday under emergency conditions, per Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site.

The Bruins needed an extra defenseman ahead of Tuesday's road matchup against Dallas after granting Henri Jokiharju (personal) non-roster status. Sweezey has one goal and 10 assists in 34 AHL appearances this season.

  • Bruins' Henri Jokiharju: Lands on non-roster list

Jokiharju (personal) was designated as a non-roster player Sunday, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports.

The Bruins recalled Billy Sweezey from AHL Providence on an emergency basis in a corresponding move. It's unclear when Jokiharju will be available to return from a family matter, which could lead to Vladislav Kolyachonok or Sweezey playing against Dallas on Tuesday.

  • Maple Leafs' Philippe Myers: Still in part-time role

Myers' point drought reached eight games in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

Myers has been scratched four times during the slump. He remains in a part-time role this season, competing for minutes on the third pairing, though the absences of Chris Tanev (groin) and Simon Benoit (upper body) have opened a door to more consistent usage for Myers lately. For the season, Myers has just two helpers, 30 shots on net, 39 hits, 30 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 25 appearances.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Picks up pair of helpers

Rielly notched two assists in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

Rielly is warming up with three points over his last two contests, which follows a six-game drought. The 31-year-old defenseman hasn't been immune from some of the Maple Leafs' struggles, but he remains effective on offense. For the season, he's at six goals, 23 assists, 90 shots on net, 62 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating over 47 appearances.

  • Sharks' Vincent Desharnais: Ready to return

Desharnais (upper body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup against Florida on Monday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

The Sharks opened a roster spot for Desharnais' return from a 23-game absence by placing Nick Leddy on waivers Sunday. The 29-year-old Desharnais has contributed two assists, 12 shots on net, 34 blocked shots and 28 hits across 20 appearances this season.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Monster effort in loss

Sanderson scored a goal, distributed three assists and placed three shots on net in Saturday's 6-5 overtime loss to Montreal.

Sanderson recorded three helpers, including two on the power play, in the second period before lighting the lamp himself in the third to give the Senators a 5-3 lead. His four-point performance brought his season totals up to 10 goals, 29 assists, 101 shots on net and 93 blocks through 47 games this season. The 2025-26 campaign is set to be another steady season of improvement for the 23-year-old blueliner, who is currently on pace to reach 60 regular-season points for the first time in his four-year career. Sanderson ranks in the top 10 in points among defensemen as well as 20th in blocks. His phenomenal two-way effort gives him elite value on the fantasy blue line.
