  • Rangers' Artyom Gonchar: Picks up three points

Gonchar scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Sudbury's 7-2 win over Flint on Friday.

Gonchar is up to 10 goals and 32 points, as well as a minus-14 rating, over 40 appearances this season. The defenseman's scoring potential for the rest of the season is up in the air, as Sudbury was a team that sold off players through trades in January, which may weaken the team's offense overall. Gonchar is still putting together a strong campaign on offense as he adjusts to North American hockey.

  • Cameron Reid D | NSH

Predators' Cameron Reid: Logs three points in OHL win

Reid scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Kitchener's 7-4 win over Saginaw on Friday.

Reid earned his first points in three games since the World Junior Championship. With Canada, he was limited to one assist in seven tournament games. The Nashville prospect has had a fine year in the OHL with 10 goals, 22 helpers and a plus-16 rating through 31 appearances, which aligns with his projected path as a decent depth defenseman who can chip in secondary scoring.

  • Predators' Nicolas Hague: In lineup Friday

Hague (illness) is slated to play versus the Avalanche on Friday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Hague missed Tuesday's game versus the Oilers, but that looks to be the extent of his absence. He'll return to a third-pairing role against the Avalanche. Hague has 11 points in 37 appearances this season, though he's gone without a point in his last three outings.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Slated to play

Broberg (concussion) is expected to play versus the Lightning on Friday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Broberg was considered a game-time decision, but he was on the likely side of playing in this contest. He missed one game due to the injury, though he missed almost all of the Jan. 10 matchup versus Vegas when he got injured. Broberg is expected to fill a top-four role and receive power-play time.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Now dealing with injury

Gostisbehere will miss Friday's game versus the Panthers due to a lower-body injury.

Gostisbehere was previously supposed to be out of action due to an illness, but it's an injury that's a concern now. One of Mike Reilly or Joel Nystrom will take Gostisbehere's place in the lineup in the short term.

  • Joel Nystrom D | CAR

Hurricanes' Joel Nystrom: Returns to NHL

Nystrom was called up from AHL Chicago on Friday.

Nystrom will help replenish the Hurricanes' defensive depth while Shayne Gostisbehere (lower body) is out. Noah Philp (concussion) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Nystrom has eight helpers in 33 appearances at the NHL level this season.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Slated to miss Friday's game

Gostisbehere (illness) isn't expected to play Friday versus Florida, per Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer.

Gostisbehere has six goals and 32 points in 35 appearances in 2025-26. Jaccob Slavin is projected to draw back into the lineup Friday after being scratched for Wednesday's 3-0 loss to St. Louis.

  • Wild's David Jiricek: Recalled Friday

Jiricek was called up from AHL Iowa on Friday, per Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News.

Carson Lambos was returned to Iowa in a corresponding move. Jiricek has a goal and five points in 15 outings with Iowa in 2025-26. He also has appeared in 18 games with Minnesota this season, recording no points, 12 PIM, 11 shots, five hits and 14 blocks.

  • Wild's Carson Lambos: Reassigned to minors

Lambos was shipped down to AHL Iowa on Friday, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.

Lambos served as a healthy scratch versus the Jets on Thursday, so this move is likely just to keep him playing games rather than sitting in the press box. In a corresponding move, David Jiricek was promoted to the NHL roster. With AHL Iowa this year, the 23-year-old Lambos has generated three goals and five assists while posting a minus-7 rating.

  • Rangers' Connor Mackey: Recalled by Rangers

Mackey was recalled from AHL Hartford on Friday.

Mackey has had three brief stints with the Rangers this season, but he hasn't yet entered a game for the NHL club during the 2025-26 campaign. Carson Soucy (personal) won't be with the Rangers for Saturday's matchup in Philadelphia, so Mackey should provide additional depth. Over 32 appearances with Hartford this year, Mackey has recorded two goals, five assists and 54 PIM.
