Dennis Gilbert D | OTT
Senators' Dennis Gilbert: Slated to miss several weeks
The Senators announced Thursday that Gilbert (upper body) will miss approximately three weeks, Julian McKenzie of The Athletic reports.
Gilbert suffered an upper-body injury during Saturday's game against Toronto and was expected to miss time. He's officially facing a multi-week return timetable that could force him to miss the remainder of the regular season, but it seems possible that he could be back in action for a potential playoff run.

Thomas Chabot D | OTT
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Has surgery Thursday
Chabot had surgery Thursday after sustaining a broken forearm and will be out of action for 4-8 weeks, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.
Chabot will miss the remainder of the regular season, which could put a dent in Ottawa's playoff hopes. Carter Yakemchuk will likely remain in the lineup during Chabot's absence.

Jake Sanderson D | OTT
Senators' Jake Sanderson: Set to travel with team
Sanderson (upper body) will travel with the Senators for their upcoming two-game road trip, Julian McKenzie of The Athletic reports.
Sanderson will remain sidelined for Thursday's game against the Penguins, but he's resumed skating and could be back in action Saturday against the Panthers or Tuesday against the Lightning. Sanderson has been unavailable since early March due to his upper-body injury, but it appears as though he'll see some game action before the end of the regular season.

Tony DeAngelo D | NYI
Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Won't play Thursday
DeAngelo (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Stars, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.
DeAngelo exited Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks due to a lower-body injury, and he was absent from Thursday's morning skate. He'll be unavailable for at least one matchup, while his next opportunity to return will be Saturday against the Panthers.

Ryan Pulock D | NYI
Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Labeled game-time call
Pulock (lower body) is deemed a game-time call ahead of Thursday's matchup with Dallas, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Pulock has missed the last two games due to his lower-body injury. Prior to his absence, the 31-year-old blueliner was mired in a 12-game goal drought during which he managed just two assists, 22 blocks and 12 shots. If Pulock can't play, Isaiah George figures to step into the lineup in his stead.

Adam Fox D | NYR
Rangers' Adam Fox: Deals pair of power-play assists
Fox recorded two power-play assists and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Fox has a goal and 10 assists over 13 outings in March after missing nearly all of December and January due to injuries. The 28-year-old defenseman will miss the 60-point mark for the first time since 2020-21, but he's maintained his usual high-end scoring pace with 39 points, 73 shots on net and 63 blocked shots over 45 appearances this season. Over a full season, that would put him around a 70-point pace, which is his established peak in his career.

Jake McCabe D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Nets opening goal
McCabe scored a goal, blocked four shots, doled out two hits, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.
McCabe took advantage of a second chance, capitalizing after a loose puck popped out of a net-front scramble in the first period. The 32-year-old defenseman has three points over his last four contests, though he still earns his money in the defensive zone. He's put up four goals, 23 points, 66 shots on net, 173 blocked shots, 95 hits, 48 PIM and a plus-14 rating over 71 appearances this season.

Mattias Samuelsson D | BUF
Sabres' Mattias Samuelsson: Expected to play Wednesday
Samuelsson (illness) is expected to be in the lineup Wednesday versus the Bruins.
Samuelsson participated in the Sabres' morning skate, so it's not much of a surprise that he's able to play in this contest. He'll be in a top-pairing role alongside Rasmus Dahlin. Samuelsson has three helpers and seven blocked shots over his last four games.

Jacob Bernard-Docker D | DET
Red Wings' Jacob Bernard-Docker: Staying with Detroit
Bernard-Docker signed a two-year, $3.2 million contract extension with the Red Wings on Wednesday.
Bernard-Docker will nearly double his yearly pay on his new deal. The 25-year-old has gotten into 55 games for the Red Wings, but he has just four assists to go with 83 blocked shots, 58 hits and a plus-5 rating while mainly featuring on the third pairing. The extension suggests the Red Wings see him as an NHL player, but he may not be in the lineup on a full-time basis in 2026-27.

Victor Hedman D | TB
Lightning's Victor Hedman: Taking leave of absence
Hedman (personal) is taking a temporary leave of absence, the Lightning announced Wednesday.
Hedman missed Tampa Bay's past three games due to an illness, which has led to Emil Lilleberg playing regularly. Hedman has a goal and 17 points in 33 appearances in 2025-26. He will regain his top-four role once he's ready to return.
