  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Tallies power-play marker

Bouchard scored a power-play goal on four shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers.

Bouchard ended a two-game skid with the goal. That was the first time he's been held off the scoresheet in consecutive games since he opened the year with no points in six outings. The defenseman is up to eight goals, 38 points (14 on the power play), 107 shots on net, 59 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating across 42 appearances this season. His dry spells are unlikely to last long as part of the Oilers' vaunted top power-play unit.

  • Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Pots goal in win

Sanheim scored a goal on two shots and blocked five shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.

The Flyers brought their best, and Sanheim was able to contribute by ending his five-game goal drought. The 29-year-old defenseman is up to four goals, 18 points, 52 shots on net, 77 blocked shots, 25 hits and a plus-4 rating over 40 appearances this season. He's on pace to miss the 40-point mark for the second year in a row since reaching it with 44 points in 2023-24, but his all-around contributions make him a viable depth blueliner in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Filip Hronek D | VAN

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Collects pair of points

Hronek scored a power-play goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Hronek has racked up nine points over his last nine outings, though the goal was his first since Nov. 23 versus the Flames. The defenseman is now at three goals, 25 points, 59 shots on net, 69 hits, 57 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 41 appearances this season. Hronek has never had a 50-point campaign, coming up two shy over 81 regular-season outings in 2023-24, but he's on pace to change that fact this year.

  • Mason Lohrei D | BOS

Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Bags helper in overtime win

Lohrei logged an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canucks.

Lohrei is warming up with three helpers over his last five games. The defenseman has lost out on a power-play role since both Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm are healthy, and Lohrei is also seeing time on the third pairing at even strength. The 24-year-old defenseman hasn't been able to fully replicate his production from last year with less ice time, but he still has a respectable 16 points, 31 shots on net, 50 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 37 appearances.

  • Wild's Jake Middleton: Gets rare goal Saturday

Middleton scored a goal and blocked six shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Kings.

Middleton's goal Saturday was his first of the season. He's added two assists in eight games since he returned from an upper-body injury. The shutdown defenseman is at nine points, 28 shots on net, 51 hits, 52 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a plus-1 rating through 36 appearances this season. Given the depth of the Wild's currently healthy blue line, Middleton is likely to see mostly third-pairing usage for the foreseeable future.

  • Brock Faber D | MIN

Wild's Brock Faber: Goal, assist in shootout loss

Faber scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, added four PIM and blocked six shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Kings.

Faber is warming up again with three goals and a helper over his last six outings. The defenseman has eight points over 11 contests since Quinn Hughes joined the Wild, and the two seem to work well together as a workhorse first pairing. The fact that Faber's offense hasn't disappeared is a huge plus for fantasy managers who were patient enough to see how things shook out. The 23-year-old has nine goals, 23 points, 93 shots on net, 98 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 43 outings this season.

  • Adam Pelech D | NYI

Islanders' Adam Pelech: Rare point this season

Pelech scored a goal Saturday in a 4-3 overtime win over Toronto.

It was Pelech's third goal and sixth point of the season (42 games). During the 2024-25 regular season, he put up 21 assists in 60 games. Pelech's fantasy value lies in his ability to block shots. He put up one Saturday to bring his season total to 71, but in the absence of offense, he's a tough one-category activation.

  • Flames' Yan Kuznetsov: Scores early in loss

Kuznetsov scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked four shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Predators.

Kuznetsov is quietly emerging as a steady top-four blueliner for the Flames. His defensive play gets most of the attention, but he's also posted five points and a plus-4 rating over his last 11 contests. For the season, the 23-year-old is at three goals, eight points, 24 shots on net, 42 hits, 43 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-1 rating across 27 appearances.

  • Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Goals in consecutive games

Andersson scored a goal on four shots, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Predators.

Andersson has scored in each of the last two games after being limited to four assists over the previous eight contests. The 29-year-old blueliner's tally evened the score at 2-2 in the first period. Andersson is up to nine goals, 27 points, 100 shots on net, 76 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a plus-4 rating across 41 appearances, putting him on pace to surpass his career-high 50 points from the 2021-22 regular season.

  • Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Sets NHL mark for teenage defenders

Schaefer scored two goals Saturday, including the game-winner, in a 4-3 overtime victory over the Maple Leafs.

Schaefer became the first defenseman in NHL history to record two multi-goal games as an 18-year-old. He went wide around the defender before waiting out Joseph Woll and sliding the puck past him. Schaefer is on a three-game, four-point streak (three goals, one assist), and he sits in a three-way tie for 16th overall in scoring from the blue line with 28 points. Remarkably, Schaefer sits in a tie for third overall among defenders in goals (12).
