Nicolas Hague D | NSH
Predators' Nicolas Hague: Clutches up in third period
Hague scored a goal and added five PIM in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Flames.
Hague fought John Beecher in the second period after Beecher drew the ire of the Predators in the first. That wasn't Hague's only big moment, as he scored the game-winning goal with 29 seconds left in the third. It was his second tally of the season, giving him 10 points, 22 shots on net, 49 hits, 30 blocked shots, 34 PIM and a minus-6 rating across 33 appearances. Hague's been firmly in a bottom-four role, but he's on pace for a career year. He is just seven points shy of his high-water mark set in the 2020-21 regular season and matched in the 2022-23 regular season.

Cale Makar D | COL
Avalanche's Cale Makar: Contributes two power-play assists
Makar logged two power-play assists and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Makar had gone four games without a multi-point effort. The defenseman had a hand in both of Brock Nelson's tallies during the Avalanche's third-period rally. Makar is up to 47 points (12 goals, 35 helpers), 115 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and a plus-33 rating through 40 appearances this season. He's on pace to top his career-best 92 points from 80 regular-season outings a year ago, though his goal-scoring pace has dipped slightly compared to last year.

Jake McCabe D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Set for further evaluation
McCabe (undisclosed) didn't finish Saturday's game versus the Islanders and will need further evaluation for his injury, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
McCabe was injured in the third period, so the lack of information regarding his injury is not a big surprise. The 32-year-old has been a defensive rock for the Maple Leafs this year, and any absence could have an impact in deeper fantasy formats that reward his physical play. He's also posted 16 points in 41 appearances.

Marc Del Gaizo D | MON
Canadiens' Marc Del Gaizo: Two goals in AHL loss
Del Gaizo scored a pair of goals in AHL Laval's 4-3 loss to Utica on Saturday.
Del Gaizo and Utica's Ethan Edwards provided unexpected sparks from the blue line in this contest, with each defenseman scoring twice. With three points over two games to start January, Del Gaizo is trying to move past an inconsistent December. He's now at four goals, 12 points and a plus-11 rating through 24 appearances this season.

Ethan Edwards D | NJ
Devils' Ethan Edwards: Tallies twice for Comets
Edwards scored a pair of goals in AHL Utica's 4-3 win over Laval on Saturday.
Edwards ended a 10-game point drought with his surprising two-goal effort, answering an equal stat line from Laval defenseman Marc Del Gaizo. The 23-year-old Edwards doubled his goal total for the season and now has four goals and six helpers over 29 appearances. He saw a call-up in November but didn't make his NHL debut, and he'll be hard-pressed to get back to the Devils' roster as long as the team's blue line is relatively healthy.

Darren Raddysh D | TB
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Record book night with hattie
Raddysh scored a hat trick Saturday in a 7-3 win over San Jose.
It was Raddysh's first NHL hattie, and he became the third defenseman in franchise history to accomplish the feat, joining Dan Boyle (Dec. 23, 2006) and Doug Crossman (Nov. 7, 1992). Remarkably, he and brother Taylor Raddysh (Oct. 23, 2025) became the first set of brothers to each score a hat trick against the same team in more than 40 years when Quebec Nordiques teammates Marian (Oct. 21, 1982) and Peter Stastny (Dec. 11, 1982) did it against the Penguins. "It's pretty special," Raddysh said after the game. "This organization has a lot of unbelievable players come through there, through their time, and you know, to be a part of this is something special. And I don't take (it) too lightly."

Parker Wotherspoon D | PIT
Penguins' Parker Wotherspoon: Three-game, four-assist streak
Wotherspoon delivered two assists in a 4-1 win over Detroit on Saturday.
Wotherspoon is on a modest three-game, four-assist scoring streak. He has five helpers in his last five outings. He has registered two goals, 15 assists, 38 shots on net and 79 hits in 40 appearances this season. That puts the 28-year-old journeyman defender on pace for a 30-point, 160-hit campaign. Wotherspoon could help in deeper fantasy formats.

Nick Seeler D | PHI
Flyers' Nick Seeler: Two points in Saturday's win
Seeler scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.
It was the first goal and first multi-point performance of the season for the veteran rearguard. Seeler had gone 11 straight games without getting onto the scoresheet coming into Saturday. Through 40 contests this campaign, he's produced six points, 77 blocked shots, 72 hits, 53 shots on net, 17 PIM and a minus-3 rating.

Dougie Hamilton D | NJ
Devils' Dougie Hamilton: Ends drought Saturday
Hamilton scored his fifth goal of the season in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.
The veteran blueliner ended a 17-game point drought and a 26-game goal drought when he snapped a shot past Karel Vejmelka from a sharp angle late in the second period. It's been a brutal season for Hamilton, as the normally reliable offensive contributor has only five goals and nine points in 37 contests.

Brett Pesce D | NJ
Devils' Brett Pesce: Two helpers against Utah
Pesce picked up two assists with three shots on net, five blocked shots and a plus-1 rating in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.
Both helpers came in the first period on tallies by Jesper Bratt and Timo Meier. It was Pesce's first multi-point performance of the season. Through 17 games, he's contributed one goal, six points, 47 blocked shots, 24 shots on net and a plus-1 rating.
