Damon Severson D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Two points including GWG
Severson scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Monday's 4-1 victory over Ottawa.
The veteran blueliner blasted a one-timer past Leevi Merilainen early in the second period for his first GWG of the season. Severson has gotten onto the scoresheet in four straight games as he ends 2025 on a high note, producing a goal and six points during that hot streak with eight shots on net, six blocked shots, six PIM, three hits and a plus-3 rating.

Seth Jones D | FLA
Panthers' Seth Jones: Two helpers against Caps
Jones picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-3 win over Washington.
The veteran blueliner had a hand in tallies by Sam Reinhart in the first period and Brad Marchand in the third. Jones has been humming along in December, delivering three goals and 10 points over the last 12 games, including four points (two goals, two assists) with the man advantage.

Aaron Ekblad D | FLA
Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Two points including winner Monday
Ekblad scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Monday's 5-3 victory over the Capitals.
Both points came in the third period, as he broke a 3-3 tie by blasting a puck past Logan Thompson from the faceoff circle before helping to set up Sam Reinhart for an empty-netter. Ekblad has only two goals on the season, but both have been GWGs, and he's found a groove in the second half of December, producing a goal and seven points over the last seven games after managing only eight points in his first 30 contests.

Mattias Samuelsson D | BUF
Sabres' Mattias Samuelsson: Distributes assist Monday
Samuelsson recorded an assist, two shots on net and two blocks in Monday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
Samuelsson distributed the lone helper on Alex Tuch's game-tying goal in the second period. With the apple, Samuelsson is up to 13 assists, 19 points, 50 shots on net, 53 hits and 76 blocks through 36 appearances this season. Not only has the 25-year-old defenseman already posted five more points than his previous career high, but he's surged during the Sabres' nine-game win streak with seven points, a plus-eight rating, eight shots on net, 16 hits and 19 blocks. The second-round selection from the 2018 NHL Entry Draft is blooming into a two-way defenseman who offers an above-average bundle of defensive stats. He should continue to draw a large number of minutes in Buffalo's top defensive pair, giving him all the tools to maintain good value across all fantasy formats this season.

Vince Dunn D | SEA
Kraken's Vince Dunn: Pockets assist in shootout loss
Dunn logged an assist and three shots on goal in Monday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Dunn missed one game before the holiday break due to an upper-body injury, but he's been back in action in his top-pairing spot for the last two contests. The defenseman saw 26:27 of ice time Monday, so there should be no concerns about his health. With the helper, he's at 20 points, 84 shots on net, 38 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a minus-14 rating through 36 appearances.

Pavel Mintyukov D | ANA
Ducks' Pavel Mintyukov: Tickles twine in loss
Mintyukov scored a goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Sharks.
Mintyukov has three goals over his last six games, but he's still not an every-game presence in the Ducks' lineup. The 22-year-old has at least done enough to have more security than Drew Helleson and Ian Moore, though all three blueliners played Monday while Radko Gudas (illness) sat out. Mintyukov is up to five goals, 10 points, 34 shots on net, 57 blocked shots, 18 hits and a plus-1 rating over 34 appearances, mainly in a bottom-four role.

Mario Ferraro D | SJ
Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Opens scoring in win
Ferraro scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM, logged three hits and blocked three shots in Monday's 5-4 win over the Ducks.
Ferraro has a goal and an assist over his last two contests after snapping an 11-game slump. The shutdown defenseman continues to see top-four minutes for the Sharks, but that won't often lead to steady offense. He's now at two goals, nine points, 44 shots on net, 74 hits, 81 blocks and a minus-2 rating over 39 appearances.
-
Brayden McNabb D | LV
Golden Knights' Brayden McNabb: Nets goal in Monday's loss
McNabb scored a goal on four shots and blocked five shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.
McNabb has contributed two goals over 12 games in December, but he's also gone minus-5 with 23 hits, 27 blocks and 14 shots on net this month. The 34-year-old blueliner continues to function as a shutdown defenseman, though he may be struggling a bit without hisusual partner, Shea Theodore, who is out with an upper-body injury. McNabb has three points, 33 shots on net, 97 blocks, 63 hits, 18 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 37 appearances this season.

Jonas Brodin D | MIN
Wild's Jonas Brodin: Posts pair of assists
Brodin logged two assists, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights.
Brodin has three helpers and a plus-5 rating over five contests since he returned from a lower-body injury. The 32-year-old Brodin has seen his ice time dip a bit since the Wild acquired Quinn Hughes, though that could help to keep Brodin healthier. The Swedish blueliner has contributed 12 points, 33 shots on net, 78 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating across 35 outings this year.

Brock Faber D | MIN
Wild's Brock Faber: Pots goal in win
Faber scored a goal and blocked two shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights.
Faber has two goals and four assists over nine games since the Wild's blockbuster trade for Quinn Hughes. The two have been partnered on the top pairing, which should allow Faber to continue to eat minutes and get plenty of ice time alongside the Wild's best players. Faber has eight goals, 21 points, 85 shots on net, 85 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating across 40 appearances, positioning him well to put last year's 10-goal, 29-point (78 regular-season games) sophomore slump in the rear-view mirror.
