  • Jets' Sascha Boumedienne: Supplies two helpers in BU win

Boumedienne registered two assists in Boston University's 4-3 overtime win over Northeastern University on Saturday.

Boumedienne, a sophomore, has six points over 14 contests this season. He's also posted a minus-10 rating after holding a plus-8 rating with 13 points in 40 games a year ago. It's a bit of a step back defensively for the 18-year-old, but he's still on the young side of things for the NCAA and should have plenty of time to figure it out. The Swede is a first-round pick (2025) of the Jets.

  • Brent Burns D | COL

Avalanche's Brent Burns: Early goal is enough in win

Burns scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Predators.

Burns scored an unassisted goal just 15 seconds into the game, and Mackenzie Blackwood made it stand as the game-winner. Over his last 10 outings, Burns has racked up two goals and four assists while seeing top-four minutes and time on the second power-play unit. He's at 11 points, 43 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 21 appearances in his age-40 season.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Appears to aggravate injury

Chabot looked to aggravate his upper-body injury in Saturday's game versus the Sharks, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Chabot appeared to tweak something late in the third period and didn't take a shift after that happened. However, he talked to the media after the game, telling Murray Pam of Hockey Hot Stove that he "felt great" upon returning to the lineup Saturday. Typically, players with injuries will not be interviewed after games, so this suggests Chabot may have escaped a serious issue. That said, fantasy managers will want to check on his availability for Monday's game versus the Kings.

  • Aaron Ekblad D | FLA

    Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Absence clarified

Ekblad missed Saturday's game versus the Oilers due to an illness rather than the previously reported upper-body injury, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Ekblad is expected to be fine for Monday's game in Nashville, but it will be worth checking in on his status prior to the contest. The 29-year-old defenseman hadn't missed a game this season prior to Saturday, but he has disappointed with just five points and a minus-5 rating over 20 appearances.

  • Jake McCabe D | TOR

Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Leaves Saturday's game

McCabe (upper body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Canadiens.

McCabe took a puck to the face in the second period, prompting his exit. The 32-year-old defenseman will have some time to heal before Wednesday's contest versus the Blue Jackets. If he can't suit up, Philippe Myers would likely enter the lineup.

  • Canadiens' David Reinbacher: Another big game Saturday

Reinbacher scored twice in AHL Laval's 7-2 win over Belleville on Saturday.

Reinbacher posted three goals and an assist over two games versus Belleville on consecutive days. He's already at a career-high seven points in 10 AHL contests, with his past two outings accounting for over half of his offense. Reinbacher will have plenty of time to continue developing in the AHL this year, where he'll be able to play big minutes.

  • Senators' Nikolas Matinpalo: Won't play against San Jose

Matinpalo (undisclosed) is not in the lineup for Saturday's road contest versus the Sharks.

Matinpalo was hurt during Thursday's game in Anaheim. While he won't be an option for Saturday's game, Ottawa will get Thomas Chabot, who missed the last three games as a result of an upper-body injury, back in the lineup. The Sens' next game is Monday in Los Angeles.

  • Aaron Ekblad D | FLA

Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Slated to miss Saturday's game

Ekblad (upper body) won't be available for Saturday's home game versus Edmonton.

Ekblad's upper-body injury will cause him to miss his first game of the season in a rematch of last year's Stanley Cup Finals. Donovan Sebrango will draw back into the lineup due to Ekblad's absence. The right-shot blueliner's next chance to suit up will come Monday in Nashville.

  • Erik Cernak D | TB

Lightning's Erik Cernak: Good to go

Cernak (lower body) is expected to play Saturday versus the Capitals, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Cernak was on the likely side of a game-time decision and should be good to go after skating in warmups on the first pairing. Steve Santini will exit the lineup to make space for Cernak.

  • Lightning's Victor Hedman: Lands on LTIR

Hedman (undisclosed) was placed on long-term injured reserve, per Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times on Saturday.

Hedman has already missed Tampa Bay's last five games, and he now will not be eligible to return to the lineup until at least Dec. 4 against Pittsburgh. Ryan McDonagh is on injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury, so the Lightning will have to continue to navigate their way without their two best all-around blueliners. Hedman was riding a four-game point streak prior to getting injured, and overall, he has 12 helpers and a plus-1 rating across 15 appearances this season.
