  • Lightning's Max Crozier: Set to return

Crozier (undisclosed) will return to the lineup Wednesday versus the Rangers, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

Crozier was battling a nagging undisclosed injury that cost him the last two games, but he appears to have overcome it at this point. His return comes at a good time, as both Victor Hedman (undisclosed) and Ryan McDonagh (undisclosed) will be absent for Wednesday's contest. Crozier will fill a top-four role, though he may still have relatively limited minutes.

  • Lightning's Victor Hedman: Not playing Wednesday

Hedman (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday versus the Rangers, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

Hedman will be forced to miss at least one game due to the injury. The 34-year-old defenseman's absence will be covered by Max Crozier, who is returning from an undisclosed injury of his own. Hedman's next chance to play is Saturday's road matchup against the Panthers.

  • Flames' Daniil Miromanov: Returns to AHL

Miromanov was reassigned to AHL Calgary on Wednesday.

Miromanov has no points, no shots and two blocks in one appearance with the Flames in 2025-26. He's also recorded a goal and four points in seven outings with AHL Calgary this season.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Nabs assist in return

Gostisbehere logged an assist in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Capitals.

Gostisbehere returned from missing six games due to an injury to his midsection. Injuries have already taken a chunk of his campaign, but he's been productive with eight points, seven shots on net, eight blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over seven contests when healthy. He should see top-four minutes going forward, and he'll also feature heavily on the power play.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Unavailable for Thursday

Chabot (upper body) is undergoing further testing and will miss at least Thursday's game against Boston, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports Wednesday.

Chabot left Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to Dallas because of the injury. He has two goals and 10 points in 17 appearances this season. Chabot's injury should result in Nikolas Matinpalo drawing into the lineup after spending Ottawa's past three games as a healthy scratch.

  • Kings' Joel Edmundson: Two-point effort Tuesday

Edmundson scored his first goal of the season and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Canadiens.

The veteran blueliner and former Hab got the Kings on the board just 1:17 into the second period by blasting a one-timer from the point past Sam Montembeault. Edmundson has never produced more than 20 points in an NHL campaign, a mark he reached in 73 regular-season games for Los Angeles last season. However, he's off to a flying start to 2025-26 by his standards, earning eight points in 17 contests, including seven points in the last nine games.

  • Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Reaches career milestone

Chychrun scored a power-play goal on five shots on net while adding four PIM, two hits, a blocked shot and a minus-1 rating in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

The 27-year-old blueliner ended an eight-game goal drought by snapping a rebound past Frederik Andersen early in the third period, giving Chychrun his 100th career NHL goal. He's been productive in his second season with the Capitals, producing four goals and 11 points in 16 games while adding 53 shots on net, 18 hits, 15 PIM, 14 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Capitals' John Carlson: Two helpers Tuesday

Carlson picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

The veteran blueliner extended his point streak to four games with the performance, a stretch in which he's collected two goals and six points. Carlson has been streaky so far this season, but the overall results have been good. He's delivered four goals, 13 points, 35 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in 16 contests.

  • Matt Kessel D | STL

Blues' Matt Kessel: Scores in Tuesday's win

Kessel scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Flames.

Kessel has played a part-time role over the first month-plus of the season. The 25-year-old was making just his eighth appearance of the season, and he was able to get on the scoresheet for the first time with a goal at 13:43 of the first period. He's added six shots on net, five hits, two blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-2 rating. Kessel's ice time is likely to remain low, as the Blues frequently lean heavily on their top-four blueliners, and he's firmly on the third pairing at best.

  • Quinn Hughes D | MIN

Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Assists on all three goals in loss

Hughes logged three assists, four shots on goal, two blocked shots and two PIM in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Jets.

Hughes played a part in all three of the Canucks' goals in this loss. The 26-year-old has racked up six helpers over his last four games after being held scoreless Nov. 3 versus the Predators in his return from a lower-body injury. When healthy, he has played at his usual elite level, racking up one goal, 12 helpers, 40 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 14 appearances. Hughes will continue to see massive minutes on the Canucks' blue line, which is still dealing with a couple of injuries to Derek Forbort (undisclosed) and Victor Mancini (upper body).
