  • Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Suffers upper-body injury

Chatfield sustained an upper-body injury and won't return to Thursday's clash against Minnesota.

Chatfield had three assists, eight PIM, 10 hits and 14 blocks in 12 appearances going into Thursday's action. If Chatfield isn't available to play against Buffalo on Saturday, then Charles-Alexis Legault will probably draw back into the lineup.

  • Adam Wilsby D | NSH

Predators' Adam Wilsby: Remains out Thursday

Wilsby (lower body) isn't expected to play in Thursday's game against Philadelphia, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.

Wilsby hasn't been in the lineup since Oct. 28. He has two assists, 10 PIM, four hits and seven blocks in 11 outings in 2025-26. Wilsby might serve in a third-pairing role once he's healthy.

  • Radko Gudas D | ANA

Ducks' Radko Gudas: Hasn't resumed practicing

Gudas (lower body) remains day-to-day, but he hasn't resumed practicing with the Ducks, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports Thursday.

Gudas hasn't been in the lineup since Oct. 23, and if he isn't practicing yet, then his return presumably isn't imminent. He has two assists, 23 hits and 12 blocks in seven appearances this season. When Gudas is ready to return, he will likely serve on the third pairing, which might push Ian Moore out of the lineup.

  • Ryker Evans D | SEA

Kraken's Ryker Evans: Will travel with team

Evans (upper body) will travel with the Kraken for their upcoming two-game road trip, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports Thursday.

The Kraken will play in St. Louis on Saturday and Dallas on Sunday. Evans' original timetable, which was announced Oct. 1, projected that he would be out for 6-8 weeks, so it wouldn't be surprising if he doesn't play in either of those upcoming games. However, the fact that he's traveling with the team suggests that he's getting close to returning. Evans had five goals, 25 points, 30 PIM, 123 hits and 106 blocks in 73 regular-season outings with Seattle in 2024-25.

  • Brett Pesce D | NJ

Devils' Brett Pesce: On injured reserve

Pesce (upper body) was put on injured reserve Thursday.

Pesce hasn't played since Oct. 26, and he's not expected to return until late November, so this move doesn't alter his timetable. However, the Devils needed the roster spot to activate Cody Glass (upper body) off IR in a corresponding move. Pesce will likely serve in a top-four capacity once he's healthy, but the 30-year-old isn't a significant offensive contributor -- he has 33 points in 151 regular-season games from 2023-24 through 2025-26 -- and he consequently doesn't factor into many fantasy teams.

  • Capitals' Rasmus Sandin: Earns helper in return

Sandin registered an assist in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Blues.

Sandin missed five games due to an upper-body injury before returning Wednesday. He was a little sheltered with just 16:58 of ice time, but the Capitals can afford to manage his minutes with the strength of their blue line. The 25-year-old has three helpers, four shots on net, 16 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over eight appearances.

  • Mammoth's Dmitri Simashev: Earns first NHL point

Simashev recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

The helper was Simashev's first point in 14 appearances for the Mammoth. Despite the lack of offense so far, the 20-year-old defenseman has settled into a top-four role, though he has not received much power-play time. He's added 17 shots on net, 17 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-3 rating while primarily playing alongside Mikhail Sergachev, who scored the goal Simashev assisted on Wednesday.

  • Rangers' Urho Vaakanainen: On road trip

Vaakanainen (lower body) made the trip with the team ahead of Friday's road clash with Detroit, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.

Vaakanainen might be ready to return following a one-game absence due to his lower-body issue but hasn't been confirmed in the lineup. This year, the 26-year-old blueliner has managed just one point in 10 outings and has never hit the 20-point threshold in his career. As such, fantasy managers can probably pursue other options even when Vaakanainen is healthy.

  • Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Pots goal in loss

Sergachev scored a goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Sergachev's cold start to the year is a distant memory now, as he's gotten on the scoresheet in seven of the last eight contests. The 27-year-old is up to three goals, 11 helpers, 26 shots on net, 26 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 14 appearances, with all of his offense coming in that eight-game stretch. Sergachev should continue to be a consistent multi-category contributor as the Mammoth's top blueliner.

  • Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Activated from injured reserve

Miller (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Thursday.

Miller missed six games with the injury. The former Ranger had two goals, two assists and was averaging 23:32 of ice time before his absence. He should line up on the third unit, alongside Jalen Chatfield and see time on the second power play.
