Erik Gudbranson D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Placed on injured reserve
Gudbranson (hip) was put on injured reserve Thursday.
Gudbranson has missed five consecutive games with the injury and has only seen action in four contests this season. He has yet to pick up a point and has five hits and six PIM. The Blue Jackets recalled Luca Del Bel Belluz in a corresponding move.

John Carlson D | ANA
Capitals' John Carlson: Two points in win
Carlson collected an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Blues.
It was Carlson's tally midway through the second period that chased Jordan Binnington from the St. Louis crease, giving Washington a 4-0 lead. The veteran blueliner snapped a four-game point drought with the performance, and through 13 contests this season, Carlson has delivered three goals and nine points, including four power-play helpers.

Jakob Chychrun D | WAS
Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Three helpers Wednesday
Chychrun picked up three assists, one on the power play, in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Blues.
The blueliner had a hand in each of the Capitals' first three goals, including Alex Ovechkin's 900th career tally early in the second period. It was Chychrun's first multi-point performance since Oct. 11, but he's had a productive start to his second season in Washington with three goals and 10 points in 13 games.

Jake McCabe D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Two more helpers in win
McCabe notched two assists in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Mammoth.
The veteran blueliner has remarkably put together a four-game point streak, and he's erupted for a goal and six points over the last six contests despite not having a spot on either of Toronto's usual power-play units. McCabe has never produced more than 28 points in an NHL season (eight goals, 20 assists over 73 regular-season games in 2023-24), so his sudden surge of offense isn't likely to last.

Pierre-Olivier Joseph D | VAN
Canucks' Pierre-Olivier Joseph: Gets first helper of season
Joseph notched an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Joseph was scratched Monday against the Predators, but he replaced Elias Pettersson in the lineup for Wednesday's contest. The helper was Joseph's first point in eight appearances this season. He's added seven blocked shots, three hits, nine shots on net and a minus-2 rating while primarily playing on the third pairing.

Artyom Levshunov D | CHI
Blackhawks' Artyom Levshunov: Snags power-play assist
Levshunov notched a power-play assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Canucks.
Levshunov was bumped up to the top power-play unit during the game, and it paid off when he helped out on Tyler Bertuzzi's second goal. The 20-year-old Levshunov has four helpers over his last five games. The Blackhawks' tendency to dress seven defensemen allows them to give Levshunov sheltered minutes, but it could also lead to dramatic shifts in ice time if his defensive play slips. He has six helpers (two on the power play), 12 shots on net, 13 hits, nine blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 13 appearances.
-
John Klingberg D | SJ
Sharks' John Klingberg: Earns two points in win
Klingberg scored a power-play goal, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Kraken.
Klingberg stretched the Sharks' lead to 3-1 in the second period. He earned his first multi-point effort of the season, and he has three points over five contests since returning from a lower-body injury. Overall, the defenseman has two goals, five points (three on the power play), 12 shots on net, 10 hits, nine blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over eight appearances this campaign. He should continue to see top-four minutes and power-play usage.

Yan Kuznetsov D | CGY
Flames' Yan Kuznetsov: Registers helper in season debut
Kuznetsov logged an assist, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jackets.
Kuznetsov's helper was his first point in his second NHL contest. It was his first outing with the big club in 2025-26 after he put up two goals in 10 games with AHL Calgary prior to his Tuesday call-up. Kuznetsov is with the big club to apply some pressure for third-pairing minutes, mainly in competition with fellow left-shot blueliner Jake Bean, but also to keep Zayne Parekh and Brayden Pachal honest as well. Should Kuznetsov play well over an extended stretch, he could help bolster a weak spot in the Flames' lineup.
-
Simon Benoit D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Simon Benoit: Not playing Wednesday
Benoit (illness) won't play Wednesday versus the Mammoth.
Benoit is under the weather and will be forced to miss at least one game. The 27-year-old defenseman will be replaced by Dakota Mermis in Wednesday's lineup. It's not yet clear if Benoit will be available for Saturday's home game against the Bruins.

Domenick Fensore D | CAR
Hurricanes' Domenick Fensore: Demoted Wednesday
Fensore was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Wednesday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Fensore was up with the big club for a couple of days but did not appear in a game. His demotion suggests K'Andre Miller (lower body) could be available for Thursday's contest against the Wild.
