Janis Moser D | TB
Lightning's J.J. Moser: Assist in return from suspension
Moser (suspension) delivered an assist Monday in a 4-3 win over Boston.
It was Moser's season debut after serving a two-game suspension for boarding Panthers forward Jesper Boqvist in a preseason game on Oct. 4. He played a game-high 24:23 of ice time.

Jordan Harris D | BOS
Bruins' Jordan Harris: First goal for hometown team
Harris scored a goal Monday in a 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay.
It was his first goal with the Bruins, finishing a 2-on-1 early in the second period. It was a big moment for Harris, who is a native of nearby Haverhill, Massachusetts and signed with the Bruins as a free agent this summer. He has a point in each of his first two games in black and gold (one goal, one assist). Harris is still a regular healthy scratch early this season, so his fantasy value is limited until he catches a full-time gig.

Matthew Schaefer D | NYI
Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Extends point streak to three games
Schaefer dished out an assist, had four shots on net and recorded a blocked shot in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Jets.
Schaefer's hot start to the season continued Monday as he tallied a secondary helper on Emil Heineman's goal late in the second period. With the assist, Schaefer has two helpers and a goal across his first three career games. The No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft has been a spark for New York's offense despite the team's 0-3-0 record. He once again logged over 26 minutes of ice time, which will skyrocket his fantasy value if the trend continues. The Islanders' trust in Schaefer and his early involvement in the offensive zone make him worth a roster spot in almost all fantasy formats. He is one of the top waiver-wire candidates on all fantasy hockey platforms.

Logan Stanley D | BUF
Jets' Logan Stanley: Notches first two points
Stanley scored a goal, tallied an assist, blocked a shot, served two PIM and dished out three hits in Monday's 5-2 win against the Islanders.
Stanley first found the scoresheet with a secondary assist on the game's opening goal before scoring one of his own in the second period. Stanley used Monday's performance to get on the scoresheet for the first time in the 2025-26 campaign across his three appearances. The 27-year-old blueliner has already matched his career high in goals from each of his first five seasons in the league. Additionally, he's seen his playing time steadily rise over the first three games of the campaign, with Monday's contest being his season high at 18:22. If this trend continues, Stanley could provide sneaky value in deeper leagues while skating on the second pairing with Neal Pionk, who has yet to generate a point through three games. That job should be Stanley's to keep until Haydn Fleury (kneecap) is healthy.

Rasmus Dahlin D | BUF
Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Records first point of 2025-26
Dahlin accounted for an even-strength assist, four PIM and four shots on goal in Monday's 3-1 loss to Colorado.
Dahlin is off to a sluggish start on the season, as this was his first point in three games. The star defenseman logged a game-high 27:19 of ice time but had five giveaways, so he'll look to clean up that area of his game in Wednesday's home matchup against the Senators. Dahlin is skating in his usual top-pairing role while quarterbacking the No. 1 power-play unit.

Brent Burns D | COL
Avalanche's Brent Burns: Logs helper in Buffalo
Burns notched an assist, two PIM and a plus-1 rating in Monday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.
Burns has now found the scoresheet in back-to-back games, as he recorded the secondary helper on Nathan MacKinnon's game-opening goal early in the first period. Burns recorded exactly three shots on goal in every game to start the season prior to Monday, so he's still active in the offensive zone despite being 40 years old. The veteran blueliner will look to extend his point streak to three games Thursday in Columbus.

Charles-Alexis Legault D | CAR
Hurricanes' Charles-Alexis Legault: Summoned from minors
Legault was brought up from AHL Chicago on Monday.
Pyotr Kochetkov was placed on injured reserve in a related move to free up a spot for Legault on the roster. Jaccob Slavin is being evaluated for a lower-body injury, which resulted in Legault being summoned from the minors. The 22-year-old Legault registered five PIM and a plus-2 rating in his lone appearance with the Wolves this season. He has yet to make his NHL debut.
-
Cale Makar D | COL
Avalanche's Cale Makar: Records goal, assist versus Sabres
Makar scored a goal on four shots and added an assist in a 3-1 victory over Buffalo on Monday.
Makar registered his second multi-point effort of the year, giving him one goal and four assists through the first four games. The reigning Norris Trophy winner looks ready to defend his title and figures to remain an elite-level fantasy option throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
-
Sean Durzi D | UTA
Mammoth's Sean Durzi: Set to miss four weeks
Durzi (upper body) is expected to miss about four weeks, the team announced Monday.
Durzi sustained the injury late in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over Nashville. He has one assist, two shots on goal, four blocked shots and three hits in two appearances this season. Utah has dressed seven defenders in two straight games to begin the 2025-26 campaign, but Barrett Hayton (undisclosed) might be ready to return to the lineup in Monday's matchup against Chicago.
-
Sean Behrens D | COL
Avalanche's Sean Behrens: Demoted to minors
Behrens (undisclosed) was activated off non-roster, injured reserve and reassigned to AHL Colorado on Monday.
Behrens was a long shot to make the Avalanche's 23-man roster even prior to getting hurt during training camp. Once Samuel Girard (upper body) is cleared to return, Behrens will find himself pushed even further down the Avs' organizational depth chart. As such, look for Behrens to play the bulk of his games in the minors this year.
