Victor Mancini D | VAN
Canucks' Victor Mancini: Summoned from AHL
Mancini was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday.
Mancini produced two goals, six assists, 27 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and 38 hits across 31 regular-season appearances between the Canucks and Rangers in 2024-25. It's unclear if he will play in Thursday's opener versus Calgary or serve as a healthy scratch.

Matt Roy D | WAS
Capitals' Matt Roy: Ready to rock
Roy (upper body) participated in Tuesday's practice and will play in Wednesday's regular-season opener versus Boston, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Roy sustained an injury in Saturday's preseason finale but made a quick recovery before Opening Night. He accounted for three goals, 24 points, 84 shots on net, 113 blocked shots and 114 hits across 69 games during the 2024-25 regular season.

Jack Thompson D | VAN
Sharks' Jack Thompson: Dealing with undisclosed injury
Thompson was placed on non-roster, injured reserve with an undisclosed injury Tuesday.
Thompson suited up in 31 regular-season games for the Sharks last year in which he notched four goals and six assists, including three power-play points. Once cleared to play, the Ontario native should challenge for a spot on the 23-man roster, though the team might prefer to see him playing every night in the minors instead of spending time in the press box as a healthy scratch.

Lucas Carlsson D | SJ
Sharks' Lucas Carlsson: Moves to injured non-roster
Carlsson (lower body) was placed on the injured non-roster list, San Jose announced Tuesday.
Carlsson didn't see any action during the exhibition schedule after undergoing offseason surgery. It's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup, but once he's healthy, he will probably spend most of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

Lian Bichsel D | DAL
Stars' Lian Bichsel: Brought back up
Bichsel was recalled from AHL Texas on Tuesday.
Bichsel was sent down Monday, but he's back with the big club ahead of Thursday's regular-season opener in Winnipeg. The 2022 first-round pick played in 38 regular-season games last year, though he should be able to increase that number in a third-pairing role in 2025-26.

Jonas Brodin D | MIN
Wild's Jonas Brodin: Put on injured reserve
Brodin (upper body) was moved to injured reserve Monday, PuckPedia reports.
Brodin practiced fully at one point during training camp, but he's been sporting a non-contact jersey lately, though it's unclear if he's suffered a setback in his recovery. Until he's ready to play in 2025-26, Zeev Buium might receive a hefty workload in a top-four role.

Rasmus Ristolainen D | PHI
Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Scheduled for IR stint
Ristolainen (triceps) landed on injured reserve Monday, according to PuckPedia.
Ristolainen was inevitably going to be placed on injured reserve due to his long-term triceps injury, and that move has come on the eve of the 2025-26 NHL regular season. The veteran blueliner will likely not suit up for the Flyers until sometime in November. Ristolainen fell just shy of the 20-point mark last year, recording four goals and 15 helpers over 63 appearances.

Jack St. Ivany D | PIT
Penguins' Jack St. Ivany: Shifts to SOIR
St. Ivany (lower body) was moved to season-opening injured reserve Monday, PuckPedia reports.
St. Ivany is facing an extended absence after sustaining a lower-body injury in Wednesday's preseason contest against Buffalo. Once he's 100 percent healthy, St. Ivany could play out what remains of the 2025-26 campaign with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Cam York D | PHI
Flyers' Cam York: Set for IR stint
York (lower body) will start the 2025-26 campaign on injured reserve, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports Monday.
York was deemed day-to-day earlier Monday due to his lower-body injury, and it's currently unclear how much time he will miss. In relation to York's recovery timeline, general manager Daniel Briere said Monday, "At the moment it's a day-to-day thing. Are we looking at a week? Are we looking at two weeks? Are we looking at two days? That's what we're trying to figure out right now," according to Adam Kimelman of NHL.com. Nick Seeler and Adam Ginning should see increased responsibilities on the left side of the blue line for as long as York is sidelined. The 24-year-old York signed a five-year, $25.75 million contract with the Flyers during the offseason, so he'll be a key part of the club's long-term plans when healthy.

Sean Behrens D | COL
Avalanche's Sean Behrens: Moves to injured, non-roster list
Behrens (undisclosed) was placed on non-roster injured reserve Monday.
Behrens was one of several players placed on non-roster IR by the Avalanche on Monday. The 2021 second-round selection has yet to make his NHL debut, so he'll most likely continue his development with AHL Colorado once he moves past his injury, though he could be a call-up candidate if the big club is dealing with injuries on the blue line in 2025-26.
