Scott Perunovich D | UTA
Islanders' Scott Perunovich: To become unrestricted free agent
Perunovich was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Islanders on Monday and will become an unrestricted free agent, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
It looked like the Blues might have had something in Perunovich during his rookie season in 2023-24, when he posted 17 assists in 54 games. However, last year, he became a regular healthy scratch with the Blues, was traded to the Islanders and then ended the season as a regular healthy scratch in Long Island. Now, after being cut loose by New York, the 26-year-old will be looking for a new home in free agency to continue his career.

Samuel Bolduc D | NYI
Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Will hit unrestricted free agency
Bolduc was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Islanders on Monday and will be an unrestricted free agent, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Bolduc was a staple with AHL Bridgeport, appearing in 69 games and posting nine goals and 26 assists. He also appeared in one game in the NHL, but received under six minutes of ice time. Regardless, it wasn't quite good enough to earn a qualifying offer with the Islanders, and he will be forced to look elsewhere for opportunities to continue his career in North America when free agency opens Tuesday.

Simon Lundmark D | TB
Simon Lundmark: Becoming unrestricted free agent
Winnipeg did not present a qualifying offer to Lundmark on Monday, according to Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.
Lundmark posted four goals, 14 points, 28 PIM and a minus-21 rating over 66 contests with AHL Manitoba in 2024-25. The right-shot defenseman has yet to appear in an NHL game, and he'll look to sign with a new team ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Jacob Bernard-Docker D | DET
Jacob Bernard-Docker: Will hit open market Tuesday
Bernard-Docker wasn't tendered a qualifying offer from the Sabres on Monday, according to Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald.
After appearing in 25 regular-season games with Ottawa last season, Bernard-Docker was dealt to Buffalo at the trade deadline. He put up four points with each club, albeit in 10 fewer games with the Sabres. The 2018 first-round selection, No. 26 overall, will now be an unrestricted free agent, and he should have no problem finding a new home in a depth role for the 2025-26 campaign.

Ian Mitchell D | DET
Ian Mitchell: Hitting free agency
Mitchell didn't receive a qualify offer from the Bruins on Monday.
Mitchell made 15 appearances with the Bruins in 2024-25, having accounted for one assist and a minus-2 rating. The 26-year-old fared much better with AHL Providence, recording four goals and 27 points over 47 regular-season appearances. The 2017 second-round selection is free to sign elsewhere when free agency opens Tuesday.

Daniil Misyul D | NJ
Bruins' Daniil Misyul: Not qualified by Boston
Misyul was not given a qualifying offer from Boston on Monday.
Misyul is free to sign with any NHL club when free agency opens Tuesday. The 2019 third-round pick logged nine points and 60 PIM over 58 regular-season appearances with AHL Providence and AHL Utica in 2024-25.

Ivan Provorov D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Ivan Provorov: Staying with Jackets
Provorov agreed to terms on a seven-year, $59.5 million contract with Columbus on Monday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Provorov has reached the 30-point threshold in three of his last four seasons and hasn't missed a game in the last three years. While his offensive numbers might not overwhelm considering his $8.5 million AAV, the 28-year-old blueliner's durability no doubt factored into the conversation. While Zach Werenski figures to remain on the No. 1 power-play unit, Provorov should get time with the second group this season and could push for the 40-point threshold, though he's reached that mark just once in his nine NHL campaigns.
-
Zac Jones D | BUF
Zac Jones: Becomes unrestricted free agent
Jones didn't receive a qualifying offer from the Rangers on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
Jones made a career-high 46 appearances with the Rangers last year and logged a goal, 10 assists, 46 blocked shots, 28 hits and 24 PIM while averaging 17:15 of ice time. Despite his success relative to his career numbers, he saw inconsistent playing time down the stretch and will now part ways with the Rangers. He could draw interest on the open market during the offseason, but it seems likely that the 24-year-old will have to settle for a bottom-four role next season.

Alexander Alexeyev D | PIT
Alexander Alexeyev: Not extended qualifying offer
The Capitals didn't extend a qualifying offer to Alexeyev on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Alexeyev appeared in just eight regular-season games for the Capitals in 2024-25 after making at least 32 appearances for the club in each of the previous two seasons. He was held without a point last year while recording 14 blocked shots and nine hits over his limited action in the NHL. He'll seek out other opportunities ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
