Jacob Middleton D | MIN
Wild's Jake Middleton: Still out Saturday
Middleton (upper body) won't play Saturday versus the Canucks, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
The Wild will be without Middleton and Jared Spurgeon (neck) for Saturday's contest. Middleton will miss his fourth straight game after being injured versus the Islanders on April 4. Declan Chisholm will stay in Saturday's lineup and continue to play until Minnesota's defense corps returns to full health.

Jared Spurgeon D | MIN
Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Not in action Saturday
Spurgeon (neck) won't play Saturday versus the Canucks, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Spurgeon will be forced to miss at least one game after taking a puck to the throat in Friday's contest versus the Flames. The 35-year-old defenseman should be considered day-to-day ahead of the Wild's regular-season finale Tuesday versus the Ducks. Cameron Crotty will enter Saturday's lineup to replace Spurgeon.

Owen Power D | BUF
Sabres' Owen Power: Suffers injury Saturday
Power (undisclosed) won't finish Saturday's game versus the Panthers.
Power didn't come out for the third period, and the Sabres announced he would miss at least the remainder of Saturday's matchup. Still, it's unclear if the defenseman will return in the Sabres' last three contests of 2024-25, including Sunday's contest against the Lightning. If Power misses time, Jacob Bryson will draw back into the lineup.

Jake Walman D | EDM
Oilers' Jake Walman: Won't play Sunday
Walman (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup Sunday versus the Jets, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.
Walman will miss his third straight game with the injury, but previous reports suggested he could return by Monday's game versus the Kings. With Walman still out, Cam Dineen will presumably draw into the lineup, as the Oilers will also be without defender Mattias Ekholm (undisclosed).

Esa Lindell D | DAL
Stars' Esa Lindell: Taking night off
Lindell (rest) won't play Saturday versus Utah.
Lindell has five goals, 26 points, 50 hits and 170 blocks in 79 appearances in 2024-25. According to the Stars, the defenseman will be out for maintenance, but given the time of year, it's reasonable to believe Dallas is simply giving him a night off to rest ahead of the playoffs. Brendan Smith will draw into the lineup because of Lindell's absence.

Thomas Harley D | DAL
Stars' Thomas Harley: Getting rest Saturday
Harley is not on the ice for warmups ahead of Saturday's game versus Utah, indicating he's being rested, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports.
Per the team, Harley is officially out for maintenance reasons. He's logged at least 24 minutes in four straight games, making it unlikely that this will be a long-term concern. After Saturday, the Stars play on the road, with stops in Detroit on Monday and at Nashville on Wednesday to conclude the regular season. Harley could return to the lineup for at least one of those contests.

Alec Martinez D | CHI
Blackhawks' Alec Martinez: Playing final game Saturday
Martinez will retire after making his final appearance in Saturday's contest versus the Jets, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports.
Martinez has won the Stanley Cup three times, including twice with the Kings and once with the Golden Knights. The 37-year-old defenseman is cemented as one of the elite shot-blockers in the NHL, logging 1,883 of them in his career going into his final game Saturday. He has added 289 points over 861 regular-season appearances, with one game to go, and 37 points in 131 playoff contests. Internationally, he appeared in the 2018 and 2019 IIHF World Championship for the United States, earning a bronze medal in the 2018 tournament.

Tyler Myers D | DAL
Canucks' Tyler Myers: Won't play Saturday
Myers (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Saturday versus Minnesota.
Although this will be Myers' fifth straight game on the shelf, he might be close to returning after participating in Saturday's morning skate. He has six goals, 24 points, 74 PIM, 87 hits and 125 blocks in 71 appearances in 2024-25. Once Myers returns, he will likely serve in a top-four capacity.
-
Alex Pietrangelo D | LV
Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Out with injury
Pietrangelo (undisclosed) has an injury that could keep him out for the remainder of the regular season.
Pietrangelo's timeline to return is unclear, but coach Bruce Cassidy wasn't overly concerned. If the 35-year-old defender misses the final three games of the regular season, he could be ready for the beginning of the playoffs. He has produced four goals, 33 points, 123 shots on net and 137 blocked shots across 70 appearances this season.

Devon Toews D | COL
Avalanche's Devon Toews: Won't play in final two games
Toews (rest) didn't travel with the Avalanche to California, and he will consequently miss Saturday's game in Los Angeles and Sunday's clash in Anaheim, Colleen Flynn of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
With Toews out for the final two games of the regular season, he will conclude the 2024-25 campaign with 10 goals, 44 points, 40 hits and 103 blocks in 76 outings. However, he should be available for the start of the playoffs. In the meantime, the 27-year-old Wyatt Aamodt will make his NHL debut Saturday.
