Mattias Ekholm D | EDM
Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Likely out indefinitely
Ekholm (undisclosed) is still undergoing testing, but even in a best-case scenario, he's expected to miss a fair amount of time, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports Saturday.
Ekholm has nine goals, 33 points, 42 hits and 95 blocks in 65 appearances in 2024-25. It sounds like he probably won't play in Edmonton's final three regular-season games, and the larger question now is what his availability will be like for the playoffs because he could be out for the remainder of the year. Cam Dineen, summoned from AHL Bakersfield on Saturday as an emergency recall, will likely draw into the Oilers' lineup for Sunday's game against Winnipeg.

Joel Edmundson D | LA
Kings' Joel Edmundson: Sitting out Saturday
Edmundson (upper body) won't be in the lineup against Colorado on Saturday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.
Edmundson will miss his third straight game. The Kings play three more times before the end of the regular season, and it's unclear when the 31-year-old defender will play. He has six goals, 20 points, 90 shots on net, 107 blocked shots and 97 hits through 72 outings this season. Jacob Moverare will probably remain in the lineup until Edmundson or Drew Doughty (ankle) returns.

Drew Doughty D | LA
Kings' Drew Doughty: Not ready to return
Doughty (ankle) will miss Saturday's clash against Colorado, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.
It will be the Kings' third straight game without Doughty, who is dealing with a recurrence of the ankle problem that cost him the first 47 games of the season. The 35-year-old defenseman has four goals and 17 points in 28 outings in 2024-25. His next chance to return will come Monday in Edmonton.

Kaiser participated in the morning skate, indicating he is ready to return from a one-game absence. He has supplied four goals, eight points, 65 shots on net, 86 blocked shots and 50 hits through 54 appearances this season. Kaiser will probably replace Louis Crevier in Saturday's lineup.

Broberg will miss at least one game but could be ready to play against Utah on Tuesday in the Blues' regular-season finale. He has produced eight goals, 29 points, 97 shots on net and 98 blocked shots across 67 appearances this season. Matt Kessel will replace Broberg in Saturday's lineup.

Darren Raddysh D | TB
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Manages assist Friday
Raddysh logged an assist in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings.
Raddysh ended a four-game point drought with the helper on Anthony Cirelli's tally 1:01 into the contest. The Lightning have stuck with seven defensemen late in the season, allowing Raddysh to stay in the lineup. The 29-year-old has produced 36 points, 104 shots on net, 66 blocked shots, 37 hits and a plus-9 rating over 70 appearances.

Justin Holl D | STL
Red Wings' Justin Holl: Gets on scoresheet Friday
Holl recorded an assist and two blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning.
Holl got on the scoresheet for the first time in three months, ending a 37-game point drought. While he's been a regular in the Red Wings' lineup, he's been limited to third-pairing duties most of the time. The defenseman has just six points, 36 shots on net, 33 hits, 74 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 71 appearances.

William Lagesson D | DET
Red Wings' William Lagesson: Draws in, earns assist
Lagesson logged an assist and two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning.
The Red Wings sat Jeff Petry in the second half of a back-to-back, allowing Lagesson to make just his third appearance since the start of January. The helper was Lagesson's first point at the NHL level this season, as he's mostly served as a healthy scratch. He's added four shots on net, five hits, six blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over five appearances. Lagesson will be a free agent this offseason and may have to take a two-way contract to stay in North America.

Jayden Struble D | MON
Canadiens' Jayden Struble: Snags assist in Friday's loss
Struble logged an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Senators.
Struble snapped a seven-game point drought with the helper. Since Kaiden Guhle returned from a quadriceps injury, Struble has been on the third pairing and has done enough to keep Arber Xhekaj out of the lineup when all Montreal defensemen have been available. Struble is at 13 points, 47 shots on net, 117 hits, 54 blocked shots, 52 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 53 contests this season.
