  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Not available for Sunday

Morrissey (upper body) has been ruled out of Sunday's goal medal game versus the United States at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Morrissey was injured in Canada's opening game of the Olympics against Czechia on Feb. 12 and will miss his fifth straight game. The 30-year-old has 10 goals and 42 points across 56 NHL games this season. It's unclear if he will be ready to play against Vancouver on Wednesday when the NHL resumes action.

  • Flames' Daniil Miromanov: Three-point effort for Wranglers

Miromanov scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Calgary's 5-4 overtime win over Bakersfield on Friday.

Miromanov has logged 24 points in 44 outings for the Wranglers this season. He's picked up three goals and five assists over his last five contests after a stretch in which he had just a single helper in a 12-game span. The defenseman could have a path back to the NHL, but that likely depends on whether MacKenzie Weegar stays or goes at the trade deadline.

  • Blue Jackets' Jackson Smith: Three-point effort in blowout win

Smith scored a goal and added two assists in Penn State's 11-4 win over Ohio State University on Friday.

Smith is up to 11 goals and 22 points through 27 outings. He continues to impress as a scorer, matching his goal total from 68 regular-season games with WHL Tri-City last year. The Blue Jackets prospect has just a plus-3 rating, indicating he still has work to do in his own zone, but there's no doubting his offense.

  • Avalanche's Francesco Dell'Elce: Earns three points in win

Dell'Elce scored a goal and added two assists in UMass's 4-0 win over the University of New Hampshire on Friday.

Dell'Elce is up to four goals and 16 helpers through 29 appearances this season. He had 24 points in 40 games a year ago, so he's picked up the pace just a bit. The 2025 third-round pick of the Avalanche is likely to have a longer developmental timeline, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him use all of his NCAA eligibility before signing his entry-level deal.

  • Mammoth's Maveric Lamoureux: Sent to AHL

Lamoureux was reassigned to AHL Tucson on Friday.

Lamoureux has played five games with Utah this season, picking up one assist. The 29th selection in the 2022 Draft, Lamoureux had three goals and 11 assists in 40 AHL appearances before his recall.

  • Mammoth's Dmitri Simashev: Back in Tucson

Simashev was loaned to AHL Tucson on Friday.

Simashov has practiced with the Mammoth since being brought up from the minors Tuesday. He has one assist, 23 shots on goal, 26 blocked shots and eight hits in 24 NHL appearances this season.

  • Wild's Matt Kiersted: Returned to AHL Iowa

Kiersted was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Friday.

Kiersted has one assist in four NHL games this season. The 27-year-old defenseman had one goal and five helpers in 31 AHL games this season before his recall.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Not ready to return Friday

Morrissey (undisclosed) has been ruled out of Friday's semifinal game versus Finland at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.

Morrissey has been skating but hasn't played since getting hurt in Canada's tournament opener against Czechia on Feb. 12. He has 10 goals and 32 assists across 56 appearances for Winnipeg this season. It remains unclear if he will play in the bronze- or gold-medal game for Canada on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

  • Flyers' Hunter McDonald: Sent to Lehigh Valley

McDonald was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday.

A day after he was called up by the Flyers, McDonald will return to the minors, likely so he'll be available for the AHL club's weekend series against Hershey. McDonald has yet to appear in an NHL game and will likely remain with Lehigh Valley once the Flyers resume play.

  • Oliver Bonk D | PHI

Flyers' Oliver Bonk: Returns to AHL

Bonk was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday.

Bonk was up with the Flyers to practice with the team during the Olympic break, and he's returning to the minors without making his NHL debut. The 21-year-old has two goals and six points in 22 outings with Lehigh Valley in 2025-26.
