  • Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Doubtful to finish game

Ferraro (undisclosed) is doubtful to return to Wednesday's game versus the Wild, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Ferraro blocked a shot late in the second period at close range, and it doesn't look like he'll be able to shake it off quickly. The 26-year-old defenseman should be considered questionable for Friday's game versus the Oilers. The Sharks' defense is dealing with multiple injuries and may need to recall Jimmy Schuldt if both of Vincent Desharnais (upper body) or Jan Rutta (lower body) remain out for Friday's contest.

  • Oilers' John Klingberg: Placed on LTIR

Klingberg (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Wednesday.

Klingberg will miss the remainder of the regular season. At this point, he probably won't be considered one of the Oilers' six best defensemen even if he is healthy enough to play in the playoffs. His move to LTIR will free up some cap space as the Oilers deal with an injury crisis late in the season.

  • Jake Walman D | EDM

Oilers' Jake Walman: Not suiting up

Walman (undisclosed) won't play Wednesday versus the Blues, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports.

While the Oilers will get a full complement of forwards in Connor McDavid's return from a lower-body injury, they'll be forced to play short on defense. It's unclear when Walman sustained the injury, as he had an assist and played 23:23 in Monday's loss to the Ducks.

  • Jacob Trouba D | ANA

Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Out again Wednesday

Trouba (lower body) won't play Wednesday versus the Flames, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.

Trouba will miss his third straight game, allowing both Pavel Mintyukov and Oliver Kylington to stay in the lineup. The 31-year-old Trouba has not been ruled out of Thursday's game versus the Kings yet, but it's unclear if he'll be able to make sufficient progress to suit up in the second half of a back-to-back set.

  • Blues' Colton Parayko: Could play in one of last two games

Parayko (knee) is on the Blues' road trip and could play either Saturday in Seattle or Tuesday at home versus Utah, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.

Parayko won't face the Oilers on Wednesday, but he is nearing a return. The Blues seem to want to get him back prior to the playoffs to make sure he's good to play. Once Parayko returns, Tyler Tucker would be the obvious choice to exit the lineup.

  • Rangers' K'Andre Miller: Out after all

Miller (illness) is expected to be out of the lineup Wednesday versus the Flyers despite participating in warmups, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.

Miller's status came down to a true game-time decision, and he'll be out of the lineup. He took rushes in his normal top-four spot, while Zac Jones will play in place of Miller.

  • Rangers' K'Andre Miller: Ready to rock

Miller (illness) will be in the lineup Wednesday versus the Flyers, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

Miller was considered a game-time decision after missing Monday's contest versus the Lightning. The 25-year-old defenseman has 23 points, 106 shots on net, 103 hits, 101 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 70 appearances. He'll play on a pairing with Will Borgen in Wednesday's game.

  • Penguins' Conor Timmins: Earns helper Tuesday

Timmins logged an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Blackhawks.

This was Timmins' second assist over the last three games and his seventh point in 14 outings since joining the Penguins. That's one less point than he had in 51 contests with the Maple Leafs at the start of the season. Overall, he has three goals, 12 assists, 63 shots on net, 53 hits, 88 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating across 65 appearances. Timmins should close out 2024-25 in a top-four role.

  • Kris Letang D | PIT

Penguins' Kris Letang: Tallies in Tuesday's win

Letang scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Blackhawks.

Letang has two points over his last three games, and this goal snapped a stretch of 20 contests in which he was limited to eight assists and 44 shots on net. The 37-year-old blueliner is up to 30 points, but this is still likely to be his lowest-scoring campaign since 2013-14, when he had 22 points over just 37 outings. Letang has added 161 shots on net, 114 hits, 98 blocked shots, 48 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 72 appearances this season.

  • Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Nets 200th career goal

Karlsson scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Blackhawks.

This was the 200th goal of Karlsson's career, a milestone he achieved in his 1,081st game. He ranks 23rd on the all-time list for goals by a defenseman, and second to only Brent Burns (261) among active blueliners, though Burns was a forward for part of his career. Karlsson has managed to have a decent campaign with 11 tallies, 53 points, 186 shots on net, 94 blocked shots and a minus-26 rating over 79 outings this season.
