  • Ducks' Olen Zellweger: Nets lone goal in loss

Zellweger scored a goal and blocked five shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Flames.

Zellweger has found his game late in the season, earning two goals and three assists over his last six contests. The 21-year-old has played in every game since the trade deadline, and he looks to have more job security than Pavel Mintyukov, who was scratched Thursday. Zellweger is up to seven goals, 19 points, 116 shots on net, 69 blocked shots, 34 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 57 appearances.

  • Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Contributes assist Thursday

Andersson logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and four blocked shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.

Andersson had the secondary helper on Blake Coleman's goal early in the third period. With a point in each of the last two contests, Andersson is playing well to begin April after a moderately productive March. The 28-year-old defenseman has 30 points (nine on the power play), 150 shots on net, 184 blocks, 56 PIM and a minus-31 rating across 75 appearances.

  • Flames' MacKenzie Weegar: Snags helper Thursday

Weegar notched an assist, three hits and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.

Weegar helped out on Nazem Kadri's goal just 16 seconds into the game. This was Weeger's second assist over the last three contests following a stretch of four outings without a point. The defenseman continues to impress as an all-around force in a top-four role. He's at 43 points, 168 shots on net, 210 hits, 174 blocked shots, 33 PIM and a plus-13 rating over 74 appearances.

  • Sean Durzi D | UTA

Hockey Club's Sean Durzi: Helpers in consecutive contests

Durzi logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.

Durzi has a helper in each of the first two games of April after being limited to three points over 14 contests in March. The 26-year-old defenseman is up to nine points, 29 shots on net, 41 blocked shots, 11 hits and a minus-1 rating over 24 appearances. This was his first power-play point of the season -- he hasn't had the same number of chances in that situation with Mikhail Sergachev firmly on the top unit in 2024-25.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Second straight 10-goal season

Sanderson scored a goal in a 2-1 victory over the Lightning on Tuesday.

Sanderson's goal stood as the winner. He put in a wrist shot from the top of the slot on the power play about five minutes into the second period. It was Sanderson's 10th goal of the season and third in his last four contests. He's the fifth defenseman in franchise history to record consecutive 10-goal seasons, joining Erik Karlsson, Wade Redden, Zdeno Chara and Steve Duchesne. Overall, Sanderson has 10 goals, 41 assists and 170 shots, with 27 of his points coming with the man advantage.

  • Kings' Drew Doughty: Collects two more points

Doughty scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added an assist, went plus-3 and logged two hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over Utah.

Doughty earned his second multi-point effort in the last three games. The defenseman helped out on Adrian Kempe's second-period tally before scoring on a long-range flip into an empty net. Doughty is up to 16 points, 40 shots on net, 25 hits, 42 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating across 27 appearances. He'd be on pace for roughly 48 points over the full 82 games had he not lost significant time to a broken ankle at the start of the year. That's production in line with each of his last two campaigns.

  • Sharks' Jimmy Schuldt: Won't play Thursday

Schuldt (lower body) won't play versus the Oilers on Thursday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Schuldt missed the Sharks' two-game road trip with the injury, and it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return. He was filling in for other injured defensemen when he got hurt, so the 29-year-old may be sent to AHL San Jose once healthy if the Sharks have enough blueliners available.

  • Sharks' Vincent Desharnais: Remains unavailable

Desharnais is not in the lineup Thursday versus the Oilers, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Desharnais' ongoing absence will prevent him from playing against one of his former teams. The 28-year-old defenseman's status hasn't been officially updated since he was ruled out for the Sharks' last road trip. Desharnais may not get a spot in the lineup even once healthy as the Sharks continue to rotate in some younger blueliners.

  • Luke Schenn D | BUF

Jets' Luke Schenn: Slated to play

Schenn (undisclosed) took warmups in his usual spot on the second pairing, indicating he'll be in the lineup Thursday versus the Golden Knights, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Schenn was officially a game-time decision after missing Tuesday's contest while dealing with stiffness. The defenseman will bump Haydn Fleury back out of the lineup for Thursday's game.

  • Predators' Spencer Stastney: Battling upper-body injury

Stastney will miss Thursday's game against Nashville due to an upper-body injury.

Stastney has three assists in 22 appearances in 2024-25. His absence will probably result in Nashville dressing 12 forwards and six defensemen after utilizing an 11-7 split in its last game Tuesday, which would lead to Ozzy Wiesblatt drawing into the lineup. Stastney is considered day-to-day, so he might be an option to return Sunday versus Montreal.
