Alec Martinez D | CHI
Blackhawks' Alec Martinez: Not playing Wednesday
Martinez (hip) won't play Wednesday versus the Avalanche, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
Martinez is out for a fifth straight game, though he returned to practice over the weekend. It's unclear how close he is to returning to action. The Blackhawks' next game is Friday against the Capitals.

Martin Fehervary D | WAS
Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Good to play
Fehervary's nose wasn't broken when he was struck in the face by a puck during Tuesday's 4-3 win over Boston and is "fine," head coach Spencer Carbery told Tom Gulitti of NHL.com on Wednesday.
Fehervary should be good to remain in the lineup for Wednesday's tilt against Carolina. He has four goals, 24 points, 125 hits and 141 blocks over 74 appearances in 2024-25.

Mattias Ekholm D | EDM
Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Unlikely to play during road trip
Ekholm (undisclosed) is doubtful to return during the Oilers' upcoming three-game road trip, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports.
Ekholm has already been shelved for Edmonton's previous three contests due to his undisclosed injury and will now be unavailable for another trio of tilts. During his brief four-game return from a prior injury, the 34-year-old defender was offering decent offensive upside with six points in his last four contests.

John Klingberg D | SJ
Oilers' John Klingberg: Set to miss road trip
Klingberg (lower body) is not expected to return during Edmonton's three-game road trip, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports Wednesday.
Klingberg has appeared in just one of the Oilers' last 13 contests due to his lower-body issue and will now be sidelined for at least three more. At this point, it's probably fair to wonder if the veteran blueliner will return at all this year and what that means for his long-term future. In the meantime, Troy Stecher and Ty Emberson should continue to see significant minutes moving forward.

Alex Pietrangelo D | LV
Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Game-time call for Thursday
Pietrangelo (lower body) is expected to be a game-time decision for Thursday's tilt against Winnipeg, according to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Wednesday.
If Pietrangelo is able to play, then it would be his first game since March 23. He has four goals and 32 points over 67 appearances in 2024-25. Kaedan Korczak might be a healthy scratch if Pietrangelo returns to the lineup.

Henry Thrun D | TOR
Sharks' Henry Thrun: Considered game-time decision
Thrun (upper body) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup against Edmonton, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Thrun has missed 13 of the Sharks' last 14 games due to his injury, but he's trending toward a return to game action. However, head coach Ryan Warsofsky said Wednesday that he isn't yet sure whether Thrun will be able to suit up against the Oilers. Even if Thrun requires at least one more game on the shelf, it seems possible that he could return Saturday against Seattle or Monday against Calgary.

Niko Mikkola D | FLA
Panthers' Niko Mikkola: Buries goal Tuesday
Mikkola scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
Mikkola ended a seven-game point drought with the tally. The 28-year-old defenseman continues to see top-four minutes, though his scoring upside is relatively limited. He's at six goals, 22 points, 104 shots on net, 119 hits, 83 blocked shots, 62 PIM and a plus-14 rating through 69 appearances. If he can be steady on offense for the last couple of weeks of the regular season, he provides all-around upside in deeper fantasy formats.

Kaiden Guhle D | MON
Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: First point since return
Guhle logged an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers.
The helper was Guhle's first point in three games since returning from a quadriceps injury. The 23-year-old has added 10 hits and six blocked shots, and he's playing well as the more defensive half of a pairing with Lane Hutson. Guhle is up to 15 points, 62 shots on net, 106 blocked shots, 77 hits, 29 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 47 contests this season and should finish the regular season in a top-four role.

Tyler Kleven D | OTT
Senators' Tyler Kleven: Draws assist Tuesday
Kleven recorded an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sabres.
Kleven ended a six-game point drought with the helper. He has four points over his last 11 outings and has looked a little more confident on offense in recent weeks after struggling in that area for much of the season. He's at eight points, 69 shots on net, 92 hits, 90 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating across 71 contests in 2024-25, his first full NHL campaign.
