  • Will Borgen D | NYR

Rangers' Will Borgen: Pots goal in Thursday's loss

Borgen scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Borgen has four points, 19 PIM, 19 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 11 appearances in March. The offense isn't much to talk about, but the 28-year-old blueliner has chipped in decent category coverage that could make him an option in deep fantasy formats. For the season, he's at five goals, 12 points, 67 shots on net, 112 hits, 104 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 72 appearances between the Rangers and the Kraken.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Bags assist in win

Gostisbehere notched an assist, three shots on goal and five blocked shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Sharks.

Gostisbehere has six helpers over nine outings in March. The 31-year-old defenseman is also plus-9 for the month while adding 16 blocks. For the season, he's contributed 38 points, 105 shots on net, 58 blocks, 26 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 60 outings. As long as Gostisbehere continues to chip in steady offense, he'll be a big help to fantasy managers.

  • Brent Burns D | COL

Hurricanes' Brent Burns: Sends helper Thursday

Burns produced an assist in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Sharks.

Burns picked up an assist for the second time in three games. He has six points over 16 outings since the start of February. He remains in a top-pairing role, but his scoring rate is down this season compared to 2023-24, though he has elevated his blocked shots. Overall, the 40-year-old defenseman has 24 points, 154 shots on net, 91 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating across 68 appearances.

  • Sean Walker D | CAR

Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Tickles twine in win

Walker scored a goal in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Sharks.

This was Walker's fourth goal of the season, two of which have come over the last four games. He also has an assist in that span -- the 30-year-old blueliner appears to be thawing out on offense after earning just three assists from Jan. 2 to March 9, a stretch of 27 contests. Overall, he has 14 points, 115 shots on net, 80 blocked shots, 73 hits, 36 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 68 appearances.

  • Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Puts up helper

Pietrangelo logged an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Bruins.

Pietrangelo's offense is coming around -- he has three points over his last four games. The 35-year-old defenseman is up to 29 points, 117 shots on net, 130 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 65 outings overall, slightly behind his pace of 33 points in 64 contests in the 2023-24 regular season. Pietrangelo remains an effective two-way defenseman, though it's no surprise his offense continues to dip in the later years of his career.

  • Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Collects pair of assists

Hanifin logged two assists in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Bruins.

Hanifin has five multi-point efforts and five scoreless outings over his last 10 contests. He's earned three goals and seven assists in that span. It's still better than the lengthy droughts he's gone through during the 2024-25 campaign -- some offense is better than none. The blueliner is at nine goals, 25 assists, 124 shots on net, 90 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 68 appearances. He still has a chance to reach the 40-point mark for the third time in four years.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Scores twice in win

Sergachev scored two goals on three shots and went plus-4 in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Sergachev put Utah ahead 2-1 in the second period and added a shorthanded empty-netter in the third to finish off the win. Sergachev has impressed in March with three goals and four assists over nine outings. The 26-year-old blueliner is up to 13 goals (a career high) and 45 points while adding 111 shots on net, 121 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating across 64 appearances. He's within striking distance of the 50-point mark for the second time in three years.

  • Jake Walman D | EDM

Oilers' Jake Walman: Pockets assist Thursday

Walman provided an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Walman has three helpers over seven outings since he was traded to the Oilers from the Sharks. The 29-year-old defenseman continues to see significant minutes, though the Oilers have five blueliners competing for top-four minutes. For the season, Walman is at 35 points, 138 shots on net, 133 blocked shots, 55 hits and a plus-3 rating over 57 appearances.

  • Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Provides pair of assists

Nurse logged two assists, two blocked shots and two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Nurse ended a four-game point drought with helpers on goals by Jeff Skinner and Zach Hyman in this contest. This was Nurse's first multi-point effort since Jan. 3, and the pair of points matched his output from his previous 16 contests combined. The defenseman is now at 26 points, 160 shots on net, 135 hits, 116 blocked shots, 53 PIM and a plus-8 rating over 64 appearances. What he lacks in offense at times, he usually makes up for with physical play, so he can be useful in fantasy in a variety of ways.

  • Haydn Fleury D | WPG

Jets' Haydn Fleury: Hands out helper

Fleury logged an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.

Fleury was in the lineup for the fifth straight game, so it looks like he has temporarily gained an edge in the playing-time battle with fellow left-shot blueliners Ville Heinola and Logan Stanley. The 28-year-old Fleury ended a 16-game point drought with his helper, with that slump dating back to Dec. 12, as he has been out 23 times during that span, including 12 games due to a lower-body injury. He's at seven assists, 36 shots on net, 46 hits, 54 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 36 appearances this season, so most fantasy managers don't need to keep tabs on his progress.
