  • Golden Knights' Brayden McNabb: Contributes helper in loss

McNabb posted an assist, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

McNabb has a helper in each of the last two games and four points over 11 outings since the start of February. The 34-year-old blueliner is up to 15 points, 74 shots on net, 135 blocked shots, 106 hits and a plus-35 rating. He's been one of the best shutdown defensemen in the league this season, but his lack of offense hinders his ability to help fantasy managers despite strong non-scoring numbers.

  • Devils' Johnny Kovacevic: Lends helper in Philadelphia

Kovacevic logged an even-strength assist, one hit and a plus-1 rating in 21:39 of ice time in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Flyers.

After inking a five-year, $20 million contract extension with New Jersey on Friday, Kovacevic is quickly proving his worth -- he has recorded a primary assist in back-to-back games since signing the deal. The right-shot blueliner has provided one goal, 15 helpers and a plus-12 rating over 65 appearances in 2024-25. Kovacevic is currently skating with newcomer Brian Dumoulin on the second pairing.

  • Kings' Kyle Burroughs: Remains in press box

Burroughs was scratched for the seventh time in nine games since the 4 Nations Face-Off break when he sat out Sunday's 6-5 win over the Golden Knights.

Burroughs has had trouble staying in the lineup since late January, and with the Kings regularly using six blueliners lately, there doesn't look to be a spot for him any time soon. The 29-year-old has produced just two assists with five shots on net, 36 hits, 31 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 29 appearances. For now, the Kings will entrust third-pairing spots to Jordan Spence and Brandt Clarke, while Jacob Moverare is also awaiting another chance to check in on defense.

  • Kings' Vladislav Gavrikov: Adds assist

Gavrikov notched an assist in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Golden Knights.

Gavrikov helped out on Warren Foegele's tally late in the second period. With two assists over his last three games, Gavrikov has had a decent stretch lately, though he remains more of a shutdown defender. He's at 22 points, 82 shots on net, 118 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating across 62 appearances this season in a top-four role.

  • Kings' Joel Edmundson: Picks up pair of helpers

Edmundson recorded two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Golden Knights.

Edmundson snapped a six-game point drought by setting up Anze Kopitar's first-period goal, and the defenseman added another assist on a Brandt Clarke tally before the end of the frame. While not primarily a big scorer, Edmundson has done well for himself this season with 16 points over 58 contests, which is the third-highest single-season output in his career. He has added 73 shots on net, 88 blocked shots, 86 hits and a plus-18 rating, and Edmundson has a chance to get to the 20-point mark for the second time in 10 campaigns.

  • Kings' Brandt Clarke: Goal, assist in Sunday's win

Clarke scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and blocked two shots in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Golden Knights.

Both of Clarke's points came in the first period to help the Kings establish an early 2-0 lead. Prior to Sunday, he'd been held off the scoresheet in eight straight games. His move to AHL Ontario on Friday was just a paper transaction, which kept him eligible for the AHL playoffs, but it looks like he'll hang around with the big club a while longer. Clarke has five goals, 27 points, 101 shots on net, 99 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 58 appearances this season.

  • Quinn Hughes D | MIN

Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Remains sidelined for Sunday's game

Hughes (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Stars, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.

Hughes continues to deal with an undisclosed injury and will be unavailable for a third consecutive game. Elias Pettersson will remain in the Canucks' lineup Sunday, while Hughes' next chance to suit up will be Tuesday against the Canadiens.

  • Hurricanes' Dmitry Orlov: Won't play Sunday

Orlov (upper body) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports.

Orlov was unavailable for Thursday's game against the Bruins due to a minor upper-body injury, and head coach Rod Brind'Amour said Sunday that the defenseman isn't yet back to 100 percent. Scott Morrow will enter the lineup against Winnipeg, while Orlov's next chance to return will be Tuesday against the Lightning.

  • Jake Bean D | CGY

Flames' Jake Bean: Goes quiet on offense again

Bean's point drought reached 10 games in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Canadiens.

The Flames have a weak offense, so there aren't a lot of points to go around for a third-pairing defenseman like Bean. He's racked up 18 shots on net and a minus-4 rating during his drought, with his last point being a helper versus the Ducks on Jan. 30. For the season, Bean has seven points, 57 shots on net, 34 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 46 appearances. He will need to play at an acceptable level to fend off a challenge from Daniil Miromanov for playing time.

  • Panthers' Dmitry Kulikov: Ends slump with helper

Kulikov notched an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Sabres.

Kulikov snapped an 11-game point drought with a helper on A.J. Greer's opening tally. After playing in a top-four role early in the campaign, averaging 19:43 of ice time through the end of the February, Kulikov has dropped down the depth chart with the Panthers' trade for Seth Jones. This demotion will make offense harder to come by, though Kulikov should still routinely remain in the lineup. He's at 12 points, 61 shots on net, 104 hits, 64 blocked shots, 34 PIM and a plus-13 rating over 64 outings this season.
