Panthers' Gustav Forsling: Game-time call for Sunday
Rotowire
Forsling (upper body) is expected to be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt in Anaheim, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Forsling missed Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to San Jose due to the injury. If he ends up playing Sunday, then he will likely serve in a top-four capacity. Aleksander Barkov (knee) was forced to exit Thursday's game, so Uvis Balinskis might remain in the lineup as a seventh defenseman, even if Forsling returns.

Panthers' Gustav Forsling: Supplies only offense in season opener
Rotowire
Forsling scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 1-0 overtime victory over the Hurricanes.

Forsling managed only two goals in the 2025-26 regular season, ending a streak of four straight seasons in double digits, but the 30-year-old blueliner made an immediate statement to begin the current campaign that he intends to be more productive.

The defensive stalwart has 22 points, 85 shots on net, 76 blocked shots, 45 PIM, 42 hits and a minus-6 rating over 64 appearances, putting him at risk of missing the 30-point mark for the first time in five years.

Panthers' Gustav Forsling: Ends drought with go-ahead goal
Rotowire
Forsling scored a goal, dished out a power-play assist and recorded two hits in Saturday's 3-2 win over Ottawa.
Forsling gave the Panthers a 3-1 lead in the final period of Saturday's contest with a goal that would stand as the game-winning tally. Overall, the 29-year-old blueliner is up to two goals, 16 points, 52 shots on net, 36 hits and 49 blocks through 44 appearances this season. The pair of points ended his 15-game scoreless streak, which also brings to light how consistent his offensive output was at the start of the season. If he can recapture a bit of his playmaking prowess from the start of the campaign, he could get back on track to reach the 30-point threshold for the fifth consecutive regular season. With solid all-around numbers for a defenseman, he holds enough value to be rostered in a majority of deep fantasy leagues moving forward.

Panthers' Gustav Forsling: Earns 200th career point
Rotowire
Forsling logged an assist and two hits in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Capitals.
The helper was Forsling's 200th career point, coming in his 494th game. The 29-year-old defenseman has been his usual steady self in a top-four role this year, and he's picked up four helpers over six outings in November. Overall, he has eight assists, a plus-3 rating, 22 shots on net, 18 hits and 18 blocked shots through 17 appearances. Rotowire
Forsling notched two assists and two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Senators.
Forsling has opened the season with three helpers, six shots on net, five hits, two blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over three games. He's a defensive ace, but he's also recorded no fewer than 31 points in each of the last four regular seasons. The 29-year-old blueliner won't be a major factor on the power play, but he gets enough even-strength ice time to provide decent category coverage, particularly for shots on goal and plus-minus rating.
