MacKenzie Weegar D | UTA
Flames' MacKenzie Weegar: Picks up two helpers Saturday
Weegar collected two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Wild.
The performance snapped a six-game point drought for Weegar. The veteran blueliner has been streaky this season, but his overall output has been only a little behind his career-best pace from 2023-24. Through 47 appearances in 2024-25, Weegar has five goals and 24 points with 100 shots on net, 123 hits, 103 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating.

Tobias Bjornfot D | FLA
Panthers' Tobias Bjornfot: Sent to AHL
Bjornfot was loaned to AHL Charlotte on Sunday.
Bjornfot was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 7-2 win over San Jose. With Aaron Ekblad (upper body) back in the lineup, the Panthers still have Adam Boqvist as an extra defender. Bjornfot hasn't earned a point in eight NHL appearances this season while posting eight shots on goal, five blocked shots and 10 hits.

Emil Martinsen Lilleberg D | TB
Lightning's Emil Lilleberg: Having a hearing for interference
The NHL Department of Player Safety announced Sunday that Lilleberg will have a hearing for interference against Detroit's J.T. Compher in Saturday's 2-0 loss.
Lilleberg received a two-minute penalty at the 11:21 mark of the second period for the hit, and supplemental discipline from the league appears to be forthcoming. The 23-year-old defender has 11 assists, 27 shots on goal, 38 blocked shots and 80 hits across 45 appearances this season.

Tyler Myers D | DAL
Canucks' Tyler Myers: Eligible to return Monday
Myers can return to the lineup against St. Louis on Monday after serving his three-game suspension for cross-checking Edmonton's Evan Bouchard on Jan. 18.
Myers has generated two goals, 13 points, 45 shots on net, 83 blocked shots, 54 hits and 54 PIM across 45 appearances this season. Myers could replace Elias Pettersson in Monday's lineup after the latter made his NHL debut in Saturday's 2-1 win over Washington.

Albert Johansson D | DET
Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Strong defensive effort Saturday
Johansson notched an assist, two shots on goal, a plus-2 rating, three hits and seven blocked shots in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Lightning.
Johansson ended a six-game point drought with the helper. The 24-year-old defenseman has played in all but one game in January while Jeff Petry (undisclosed) is on injured reserve. Johansson has just four points with 25 shots on net, 27 hits, 40 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 28 appearances. He's unlikely to be a factor in fantasy given his limited offense, but he can rack up defensive stats when he gets playing time.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Puts up helper in loss
Ekman-Larsson logged an assist in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Senators.
Ekman-Larsson helped out on Bobby McMann's first-period tally. This extended Ekman-Larsson's point streak to four games (one goal, five assists). In that span, he's seen steady top-four minutes. OEL is up to 21 points, 85 shots on net, 61 hits, 42 blocked shots, 36 PIM and a plus-14 rating over 49 appearances, making him a solid all-around option in fantasy.

Jake Sanderson D | OTT
Senators' Jake Sanderson: Posts power-play assist in return
Sanderson registered a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Sanderson missed one game due to a lower-body injury. The 22-year-old returned with 23:38 of ice time in a close contest. The defenseman has five helpers over 12 outings in January, all but one of which have come on the power play. For the season, Sanderson is at two goals, 24 helpers, 17 power-play points, 103 shots on net, 103 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating through 48 appearances.

Adam Wilsby D | NSH
Predators' Adam Wilsby: Collects helper in loss
Wilsby notched an assist in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks.
The Predators dressed seven defensemen Saturday, leading to Wilsby seeing a season-low 11:56 of ice time. The 24-year-old has two helpers and a plus-2 rating over his last four contests as he continues to do enough to stay in a bottom-four role. Overall, he's at five points, 24 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through 19 outings.

Olen Zellweger D | ANA
Ducks' Olen Zellweger: Spotty playing time in January
Zellweger was scratched for the seventh time in 13 games when he sat out Saturday's 5-2 win over the Predators.
Zellweger's playing time has been spotty in January. Jackson LaCombe has become an everyday player, leaving Zellweger to compete with Pavel Mintyukov and Drew Helleson for third-pairing minutes. It's a battle Zellweger's been losing lately, and it may lead to him getting reassigned to AHL San Diego eventually. When he's been in action, the 21-year-old has 12 points, 80 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 38 appearances, but given his age, a little extra development time with the Gulls wouldn't hurt.

Drew Helleson D | ANA
Ducks' Drew Helleson: Records helper in Saturday's win
Helleson logged an assist, two shots on goal and four hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Predators.
Helleson has a helper in back-to-back games after sitting out four of the previous five contests. That's a good way for him to try to claim a larger role in the lineup, though he's likely to remain confined to third-pairing minutes. Helleson is at seven points, 25 shots on net, 25 PIM, 29 blocked shots and 36 hits over 23 appearances. As long as he plays well, he should be able to fend off any challenges from Olen Zellweger for the last spot in the Ducks' lineup.
