  • Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Won't play vs. Toronto

Mateychuk (illness) isn't available for Wednesday's clash against Toronto, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Mateychuk also missed Monday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders due to the illness. He has a goal and three points in 12 appearances in 2024-25. When Mateychuk is healthy, he might serve in a bottom-four capacity and see some time on the power play.

  • Ben Chiarot D | DET

Red Wings' Ben Chiarot: Ends drought with goal Tuesday

Chiarot scored a goal in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Flyers. He also recorded four shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots.

Chiarot picked up a point for the first time since Jan. 2 when he notched an assist in a 5-4 win over the Blue Jackets to snap an eight-game point drought. This was also his first goal since Dec. 12, and while he's a reliable defensive presence for Detroit, his lack of scoring prowess limits his fantasy upside considerably.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Scores game-winning goal Tuesday

Ristolainen scored a goal while adding four shots and a hit in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Red Wings.

Ristolainen found the back of the net for the first time since Oct. 26, when he recorded a goal and an assist in a 7-5 win over Minnesota. It was a goal in a huge moment, though, as it gave the Flyers the win with only 26 seconds left in overtime. The blueliner isn't much of a contributor on offense since he's notched only 13 points (two goals, 11 helpers) in his 48 regular-season appearances, so his fantasy value is mainly limited to formats that reward physicality stats such as hits (78) and blocked shots (74).

  • Radko Gudas D | ANA

    Ducks' Radko Gudas: Nabs assist

Gudas logged an assist, four shots on goal, two hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers.

Gudas ended a five-game slump when he set up a Mason McTavish tally in the first period. The 34-year-old Gudas doesn't put up a lot of offense, but he makes up for it with physical play -- he has logged at least two hits in 23 straight games and has gone without a blocked shot just twice in that span. For the season, the captain has 11 points, 58 shots on net, 60 hits, 105 blocks, 154 hits and a minus-4 rating over 47 appearances.

  • Panthers' Uvis Balinskis: Scores in Tuesday's win

Balinskis scored a goal and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

The defenseman has three points and a plus-5 rating over his last six contests. Balinskis' tally was the last one of the contest, coming at 4:17 of the third period. The 28-year-old blueliner is up to 13 points, 60 shots on net, 38 hits, 32 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 45 appearances. He continues to have a little fantasy value in deep formats since he plays on the second power-play unit, but his non-scoring production is fairly unspectacular.

  • Carson Soucy D | NYI

Canucks' Carson Soucy: Produces helper in loss

Soucy notched an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.

Soucy ended a 10-game slump when he set up a Phil Di Giuseppe tally in the second period. It's nine contests and counting since Soucy saw more than 20 minutes of ice time, and combined with his natural skill set leaning on the defensive side, he's unlikely to score often. He's at seven points, 49 shots on net, 75 blocked shots, 73 hits, 38 PIM and a minus-10 rating through 46 appearances.

  • Quinn Hughes D | MIN

Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Gathers helper in loss

Hughes notched an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.

Hughes has four goals and five assists over eight contests since he returned from an undisclosed injury, but he also has a minus rating in five of those games. The defenseman set up an Elias Pettersson tally in the second period of Tuesday's loss. Hughes is up to 51 points (20 on the power play), 125 shots on net, 42 blocked shots, 27 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 42 appearances.

  • Sabres' Henri Jokiharju: Can't shake slump

Jokiharju's point drought reached 26 games in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Canucks.

He's been scratched 15 times during that slump. The 25-year-old blueliner is no longer a full-time part of the Sabres' lineup, and he offers mostly defensive depth when he plays. Jokiharju is stuck on three points while adding 41 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 29 hits and a plus-3 rating over 32 appearances.

  • Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Dishes pair of helpers

Dahlin notched two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Canucks.

Dahlin is warming up again with three helpers over two contests to begin the Sabres' current road trip. The 24-year-old defenseman had a hand in both goals during the third period as the Sabres came back from a 2-1 deficit. Dahlin is now at six goals, 28 assists, 107 shots on net, 53 blocked shots, 44 hits and a plus-3 rating over 39 appearances in his usual top-pairing role.

  • Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Offers helper in loss

Nurse posted an assist, two shots on goal and four PIM in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Capitals.

Nurse has three helpers over his last five outings. The defenseman set up a Leon Draisaitl tally in the first period. Overall, Nurse is up to 20 points, 110 shots on net, 75 hits, 73 blocked shots, 36 PIM and a plus-8 rating through 44 appearances. While usually a very physical player, this was the third time this season Nurse was held to zero in both hits and blocked shots.
