Noah Dobson D | MON
Islanders' Noah Dobson: Could miss time
Dobson does not have a timetable to return from his lower-body injury, according to Stefen Rosner of NHL.com.
Dobson was injured Monday versus Columbus, as he fell in an awkward fashion in the final frame and did not return. The right-shot blueliner will likely be sidelined for the near future given the nature of how his injury looked. Dennis Cholowski will draw back into the lineup while Dobson is on the shelf.

Dylan DeMelo D | WPG
Jets' Dylan DeMelo: Scores in loss Monday
DeMelo scored a goal while adding four shots, a hit and three blocked shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to Utah.
DeMelo isn't known for being much of a fantasy contributor despite playing in the Jets' first defensive pairing. He has just 10 points through 48 games, and the fact that two of his three goals have come over his last three appearances suggests he's not going to score regularly going forward. He does bring a lot of physicality to the table, as he's racked up 82 hits and 59 blocked shots thus far.

Jaccob Slavin D | CAR
Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Three helpers in OT win
Slavin notched three assists in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
Slavin extended his point streak to three games with an impressive effort Monday, one which also marked his season-high mark for points in a single game in 2024-25. Even though the 30-year-old isn't known for being a regular name in the scoresheet, he's up to 15 assists, as well as three goals, in 47 games this season.

Victor Hedman D | TB
Lightning's Victor Hedman: Seven-game, nine-point streak
Hedman delivered two assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 5-3 loss to Toronto.
Hedman's point streak stands at seven games and nine points (two goals, seven assists). He has 38 points, including 31 assists, in 43 games, and 15 of those points (one goal, 14 assists) have come with the man advantage. Hedman is playing in his usual form, and the Lightning need that. The team needs him to be excellent -- the Bolts are one point ahead of Ottawa and Boston for third in the Atlantic, but only two points from being out of a wild-card spot. Hedman is a guy who will rise to the occasion and help carry your squad, too.

Darren Raddysh D | TB
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Four-game, six-point streak
Raddysh scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs on Monday.
Raddysh is on a four-game, six-point scoring streak that includes two goals, four assists and 11 shots. He won't be able to keep up this pace. Few could, but Raddysh will help you in the short term.

Noah Dobson D | MON
Islanders' Noah Dobson: Sustains injury Monday
Dobson suffered an undisclosed injury in the third period of Monday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jackets, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Dobson was injured on his first shift in the final frame as a result of an awkward fall after being hit by Columbus' Cole Sillinger. Dobson registered a power-play assist, two shots on goal and four hits in 15:38 of ice time before departing. Head coach Patrick Roy had no update on the 25-year-old's status after the game, which puts him in the day-to-day category ahead of Friday's divisional matchup against the Flyers.

John Klingberg D | SJ
Oilers' John Klingberg: Not ready for game action yet
Head coach Kris Knoblauch relayed Monday that it will be at least a week before Klingberg (hip) makes his 2024-25 debut, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.
With Knoblauch's timeline in mind, Klingberg may be an option for a divisional matchup against the Kraken on Jan. 27. The 32-year-old Klingberg signed a one-year contract with Edmonton on Friday. The right-shot blueliner last suited up in the NHL on Nov. 11, 2023. Klingberg should factor into the Oilers' No. 2 power-play unit as soon as he regains his footing.

Tyler Myers D | DAL
Canucks' Tyler Myers: Suspended three games
Myers received a three-game suspension by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for cross-checking Edmonton's Evan Bouchard on Saturday.
Myers received a match penalty for his wrongdoing, and he now will not be able to play until Jan. 27 versus St. Louis. This is the right-shot blueliner's third career suspension. Mark Friedman, who was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Monday, figures to be an option to replace Myers in the interim. However, Noah Juulsen (undisclosed) could play ahead of Friedman if the former is able to suit up in any of the games that Myers is unavailable.

Denton Mateychuk D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Not playing Monday
Mateychuk will miss Monday's game against the Islanders due to an illness, according to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
Mateychuk will miss his first game with the Blue Jackets since being recalled from AHL Cleveland on Dec. 22. Jack Johnson will enter the lineup as a result of the 20-year-old's absence.

Alexander Romanov D | NYI
Islanders' Alexander Romanov: Playing versus Columbus
Romanov (upper body) will be in the lineup Monday versus the Blue Jackets, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Romanov was a game-time call heading into Monday's contest, which was likely maintenance-related, as the left-shot blueliner saw 23:26 of ice time in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Sharks. The 25-year-old will skate on the No. 1 pairing beside Noah Dobson against Columbus.
