Jacob Bernard-Docker D | DET
Senators' Jacob Bernard-Docker: Facing extended absence
Bernard-Docker sustained a high-ankle sprain that is expected to keep him out long term, per TSN 1200 Ottawa on Tuesday.
Bernard-Docker had to be helped off the ice when he was hurt during Monday's practice, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to see it was a significant injury. Considering the 24-year-old blueliner has just four points in 25 games this season and has never even reached the 15-point threshold, his absence is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy players. Nikolas Matinpalo figures to replace Bernard-Docker in the lineup -- at least until Travis Hamonic (lower body) is ready to return.

Isaiah George D | NYI
Islanders' Isaiah George: Still contending with injury
George (upper body) will not travel with the Islanders for the team's two-game road trip, Ethan Sears of the New York Post reports.
The Islanders visit Vegas on Thursday before playing in Utah on Saturday. George is still dealing with the lingering effects of a hit from Max Domi in Thursday's 2-1 loss to Toronto. The 20-year-old George has provided one goal and four helpers through 25 appearances this season. Dennis Cholowski will continue to fill in on the third pairing while George is sidelined.

Hampus Lindholm D | BOS
Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: No timeline for return
Lindholm (lower body) resumed skating Tuesday but still doesn't have a timetable to return to the lineup, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.
Lindholm will miss his 26th straight game against Edmonton on Tuesday. He has generated three goals, seven points, 35 shots on net and 17 blocked shots across 17 appearances this season.

Devon Toews D | COL
Avalanche's Devon Toews: Another three-point effort
Toews scored two goals, one on the game-winner, and added an assist in Monday's 3-1 win over the Panthers.
The Avs couldn't solve Sergei Bobrovsky until late in the second period, when a Toews point shot hit the crossbar, bounced off the ice and then caromed into the net off the veteran netminder's backside to tie the game at 1-1. Toews didn't stop there, beating Bobrovsky with another long-range shot midway through the third before helping to set up Mikko Rantanen for an empty-netter. Toews has two three-point performances in the last three games, and over the last four, he's erupted for a stunning four goals and seven points.

Lane Hutson D | MON
Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Three-point effort Monday
Hutson scored an even-strength goal and added two power-play assists in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Canucks.
It's the first three-point performance of the rookie's career, although Hutson needed a little help on the goal -- his passing attempt from the corner instead deflected into the back of the net off Quinn Hughes' skate. Hutson has three multi-point efforts across his last 10 games, a stretch in which he's popped for two goals and 10 points, including six power-play helpers.
-
Quinn Hughes D | MIN
Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Two helpers in return
Hughes notched two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
After missing the prior four games due to an undisclosed issue, Hughes was right back in form in his return, producing his sixth multi-point performance in 13 appearances since the beginning of December. The All-Star blueliner has eight goals and 44 points through 35 contests this season, with 17 of those points (one goal and 16 helpers) coming on the power play.
-
Adam Larsson D | SEA
Kraken's Adam Larsson: Finds twine Monday
Larsson scored a goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.
Larsson didn't miss time after leaving Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in the second period with an upper-body injury. Instead, the 32-year-old blueliner found the back of the net for just the second time this season. He's up to eight points through 41 games in 2024-25. He should remain a top-two defenseman, but he hasn't been much of a factor in terms of fantasy outside of his physicality stats (55 hits, 83 blocked shots).

Grant Hutton D | NYI
Islanders' Grant Hutton: With big club
Hutton was on the ice with the Islanders on Tuesday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports, indicating he has been called up from AHL Bridgeport.
Hutton's promotion likely means Isaiah George (upper body) won't be available against the Golden Knights on Thursday. Even with Hutton on the roster, he probably shouldn't be expected to suit up for the Isles, as Dennis Cholowski is poised to replace George in the lineup.
-
Mike Reilly D | CAR
Islanders' Mike Reilly: Shifted to long-term IR
Reilly (chest) was moved to long-term injured reserve Tuesday, per Stefen Rosner of NHL.com.
Considering Reilly is out indefinitely due to a heart condition, the move shouldn't come as a surprise. The Isles will get some relief from the veteran blueliner's $1.25 million cap hit, though he is still expected to return at some point this season. Through 11 games this year, the Chicago native failed to register a point while recording 15 shots, four blocks and three hits.
-
John Carlson D | ANA
Capitals' John Carlson: Two helpers against Buffalo
Carlson picked up two assists in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Sabres.
It was the veteran blueliner's first multi-point performance since Dec. 14. Carlson managed just one point, an assist, in the 10 games between those outbursts, and his goal drought stands at 18 games. While Carlson's offensive numbers are down in 2024-25, he's compensated with strong defensive play -- he has a plus-14 rating through 40 appearances, putting him on pace to top a plus-20 rating for the first time since 2018-19.
