  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Facing Ducks

Kochetkov will protect the home net versus Anaheim on Sunday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Kochetkov is coming off a 30-save effort in Thursday's 6-3 win over Toronto. He has a 16-9-1 record with one shutout, a 2.52 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 27 appearances this season. Anaheim sits 31st in the league with 2.45 goals per game in 2024-25 and lost 6-0 against Philadelphia on Saturday.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Starting in Detroit

Grubauer will guard the road goal versus the Red Wings on Sunday, according to Ansar Khan of MLive.com.

Grubauer will get the second half of Seattle's back-to-back after Joey Daccord played in Saturday's 6-2 win over Buffalo. The 33-year-old Grubauer has a 5-13-1 record with a 3.62 GAA and an .875 save percentage across 19 appearances this season. Detroit sits 25th in the league with 2.78 goals per game in 2024-25, and the Red Wings are riding a six-game winning streak.

  • Cam Talbot G | DET

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Starting Sunday

Talbot will guard the home net Sunday against the Kraken, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Talbot's riding a three-game winning streak despite posting a subpar .857 save percentage in that span. Overall, the 37-year-old Talbot is 9-9-2 with a .901 save percentage and 3.03 GAA this year.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Activated from IR

Wedgewood (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Sunday.

Wedgewood is slated to rejoin the Avs after missing five games with a lower-body injury. The veteran netminder figures to return to a backup role behind Mackenzie Blackwood. Since joining Colorado, Wedgewood is 4-2-0 with a .917 save percentage and 2.35 GAA across seven appearances.

  • Trent Miner G | COL

Avalanche's Trent Miner: Returned to AHL

Miner was assigned to AHL Colorado on Sunday.

The Avalanche activated Scott Wedgewood (lower body) from injured reserve in a corresponding move. Miner has surrendered four goals on 33 shots en route to a record of 0-1-0 in two NHL appearances this season.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Bags league-leading sixth shutout

Hellebuyck turned aside all 22 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Avalanche.

The 31-year-old continues to build his case to be the NHL's first repeat winner of the Vezina Trophy since Martin Brodeur in the mid-2000's. Hellebuyck's six shutouts lead the league, as do his 26 wins, 2.02 GAA and .928 save percentage, and he's been even better over the last month, going 8-1-1 in his last 10 outings with a 1.80 GAA and .932 save percentage.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Gets no help in Winnipeg

Blackwood stopped 26 of 28 shots in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Jets, with Winnipeg's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

Winnipeg got a puck past him in each of the first two periods, with Blackwood having little chance at either, and the Avs were never able to solve Connor Hellebuyck in the other crease. It's Blackwood's first regulation loss since Dec. 16, and since making his debut with Colorado, the 28-year-old netminder has gone 8-2-1 in 11 outings with an outstanding 1.66 GAA and .939 save percentage.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Lead slips away Saturday

Soderblom made 30 saves in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.

Chicago took a 3-1 lead midway through the second period, but Soderblom couldn't make it stick, with Zach Hyman banging home a rebound on the power play midway through the third to complete the comeback for Edmonton. Soderblom has only one win in his last six outings, going 1-4-0 with a 3.93 GAA and .886 save percentage, but with Petr Mrazek also struggling since his return from a groin strain, the duo will likely remain in a timeshare for now.

  • Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Rallies for win No. 10

Pickard turned aside 19 shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over Chicago.

The veteran netminder looked a little sluggish in the first period, reacting a heartbeat too slowly and allowing short-side goals to Teuvo Teravainen and Nick Foligno, but Pickard got his bearings and shut the door over the second half of the game as the Oilers mounted a comeback from a 3-1 deficit. He has just one regulation loss since the beginning of December over seven appearances, and on the season Pickard is 10-4-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .896 save percentage.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Needed in relief against Sens

Jarry stopped all five shots he faced after replacing Alex Nedeljkovic midway through the second period during Saturday's 5-0 loss to Ottawa.

The Senators took their foot off the gas over the final half of the game with a comfortable 5-0 lead, and Jarry wasn't really tested. The 29-year-old goalie hasn't won a game since Christmas, going 0-1-2 over his last four appearances, but his 2.73 GAA and .900 save percentage are superior to Nedeljkovic's recent work. The duo will likely work in a timeshare unless one of them can heat up and seize the top job.
