  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Blanks Jersey for first shutout

Merzlikins turned aside all 24 shots he faced in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Devils.

It was the first shutout of the season for the 31-year-old netminder, and the 12th of his career. Merzlikins has won three straight starts and five of his last six, posting a sharp 2.03 GAA and .924 save percentage over that latter stretch. He has been making a push to wrest the starting job away from Jet Greaves.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Banks another win Tuesday

Bussi stopped 22 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Senators.

The 27-year-old netminder continues to amaze, extending his win streak to six games. Through his first 26 NHL outings, Bussi has gone a stunning 22-3-1 with a 2.24 GAA and a .904 save percentage. While he doesn't qualify as a rookie and likely won't see enough work to challenge Terry Sawchuk's NHL record of 44 wins by a rookie, Bussi could challenge Corey Crawford's 33-win rookie year in the 2010-11 regular season.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Set to start Wednesday

Hellebuyck is slated to start Wednesday's home game against the Canadiens, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Hellebuyck has struggled to enter the win column over the past few weeks, going 1-3-3 with a 2.83 GAA and a .901 save percentage over his last seven starts. He'll attempt to right the ship in the Jets' final game before the Olympic break. Montreal ranks third in the league with 3.43 goals per game this season.

  • James Reimer G | OTT

Senators' James Reimer: Comes up short in Carolina

Reimer made 14 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

The veteran netminder hasn't looked like much of a solution between the pipes for the Senators. Reimer has given up four goals in four of his six starts since signing a one-year contract with Ottawa in mid-January. During that span, he has posted a 2-3-1 record, 3.22 GAA and .861 save percentage.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Loses to Ducks

Grubauer stopped 27 of 31 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Ducks.

The teams played a scoreless first period, but the Ducks got to Grubauer twice in the second and third frames. The 34-year-old netminder has faced the Ducks three times this season, allowing a total of eight goals on 102 shots despite going 1-2-0 in those contests. Overall, he's at an 11-6-3 record with a 2.43 GAA and a .916 save percentage. This was likely his last start before the Olympic break -- Grubauer will play with Germany at the tournament. Look for Joey Daccord to tend the twine Wednesday versus the Kings.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Collects win Tuesday

Dostal allowed two goals on 28 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

This was Dostal's eighth win in his last nine outings as he's helped guide the Ducks back into competition as the Pacific Division tightens up. Both goals against came in the last five minutes as the Ducks let off the gas following a strong 55 minutes. Dostal is up to 21-13-2 with a 2.92 GAA and an .897 save percentage across 38 appearances this season. The next stop for Dostal is the Olympics, where he'll represent Czechia, though it's not yet clear if he will assume the No. 1 job for his country, which also boasts the Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka and the Flyers' Dan Vladar.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Seventh straight win

Vasilevskiy made 23 saves Tuesday in a 4-3 overtime win against the Sabres.

It's hard to argue with a guy who has won seven straight and 15 of his last 16 games. The Bolts next play Thursday against the Panthers. Vasy may get rested or not, given the team's next game is Feb. 25. This rest period will do him wonders heading down the stretch.

  • Colten Ellis G | BUF

Sabres' Colten Ellis: Win streak snapped

Ellis made 31 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Lightning on Tuesday.

He came within 15 seconds of getting the game to a shootout and earn a point, but Tampa Bay wired the winner in OT. Ellis had two straight wins prior to Tuesday and will remain the No. 2 man in Buffalo as long as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) is sidelined. UPL will not be joining Finland for the 2026 Winter Olympics and time will tell if he'll be ready to return immediately after that break. Ellis is 2-0-1 in his last three games.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Poor showing versus Maple Leafs

Ingram allowed four goals on 26 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Ingram had another shaky outing -- he's been under a .900 save percentage in his last four appearances (three starts). In that span, he's allowed a total of 12 goals on 68 shots. The 28-year-old dropped to 6-4-1 with a 2.67 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 13 appearances this season, but he's trending in the wrong direction. Tristan Jarry will likely get the nod in Calgary on Wednesday to send the Oilers into the Olympic break, but neither Edmonton goalie has been all that reliable lately.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Sharp in Tuesday's win

Stolarz stopped 34 of 36 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.

Stolarz picked up his first win in three outings since he returned from an upper-body injury. The 32-year-old netminder looked to be in his 2024-25 form for this one, as he struggled even before his long-term absence this season. He's now 7-7-1 with a 3.55 GAA and an .882 save percentage over 16 starts. The Maple Leafs come out of the Olympic break with a back-to-back against division rivals -- they visit the Lightning on Feb. 25 and then face the Panthers a day later, so Stolarz and Joseph Woll will likely each get a start in that two-game sequence.
