  • Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Scheduled to start on Long Island

Skinner is slated to start in Tuesday's road divisional matchup versus the Islanders, according to NHL.com.

Skinner will tend the twine in the second half of Pittsburgh's back-to-back after Arturs Silovs was in goal for Monday's 3-2 loss to Ottawa. The Islanders also played Monday, losing 4-1 to the Capitals, so neither team has the rest advantage Tuesday. Skinner faced the Isles on Oct. 16 when he was with the Oilers, making 21 saves on 24 shots in a 4-2 loss. The 27-year-old netminder is 2-2-0 with a .900 save percentage and a 2.53 GAA over four career appearances against the Islanders.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Not available Tuesday

Ersson (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's clash with Washington, per NHL.com.

Ersson went 2-4-1 with a 3.97 GAA in his last eight outings prior to suffering his lower-body injury. With the 26-year-old netminder on the shelf, Aleksei Kolosov figures to serve as the No. 2 option behind Dan Vladar on Tuesday. At this point, Ersson may struggle to secure regular opportunities behind Vladar even once given the all-clear.

  • Canadiens' Alexis Cournoyer: Honored by conference again

Cournoyer earned ECAC Rookie of the Week honors Monday.

Cournoyer has been excellent for Cornell University this season. He's been named the ECAC's Rookie of the Week three times in 2025-26, as well as one honor as Goalie of the Week. For the season, he is 13-4-0 with a 1.84 GAA and a .923 save percentage in 17 appearances. It'll be a while before he's an option for the Canadiens, but he's looking like a good fifth-round pick after being taken 145th overall in 2025.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Cruises to win Monday

Knight made 24 saves in Monday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.

Chicago built a 4-0 lead before Knight finally saw Will Smith snap a puck past him midway through the second period. The 24-year-old netminder has faded a bit over the last couple of weeks, giving up at least three goals in five straight starts while going 2-2-1 with a 3.11 GAA and an .877 save percentage.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Set to face Toronto

Ingram will defend home crease against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.

Ingram closed out January with a 4-1-1 record, 2.14 GAA and .913 save percentage over eight appearances. The Oilers placed Calvin Pickard on waivers Sunday, so Ingram will continue to work in some form of a timeshare with Tristan Jarry for the foreseeable future. Ingram should have a favorable matchup Tuesday, as Toronto is on the second half of a back-to-back after picking up a win in Calgary on Monday, while Edmonton has been off since Saturday, a game in which the Oilers were shelled 7-3 by the Wild.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Needed in relief Monday

Nedeljkovic gave up two goals on seven shots Monday after replacing Yaroslav Askarov midway through the second period of a 6-3 loss to Chicago.

The Sharks' defense provided little help to either netminder on the night. Nedeljkovic has been the better of the two goalies over the last month-plus, however, and since the beginning of January he's gone 5-2-0 in eight outings with a 2.58 GAA and a .909 save percentage.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Chased from crease in Chicago

Askarov gave up four goals on 10 shots before being replaced by Alex Nedeljkovic midway through the second period of Monday's 6-3 loss to Chicago.

None of the goals against Askarov could really be pinned on him, and San Jose's defensive play didn't improve after head coach Ryan Warsofsky made the switch in the crease. Nonetheless, it continued a rough stretch for Askarov that has seen the 23-year-old netminder go 2-4-1 in eight outings since the beginning of January with a 4.24 GAA and an .842 save percentage.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Win streak at five

Oettinger stopped 24 shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

The 27-year-old netminder did just enough once again to get into the win column, as Oettinger picked up a victory in his fifth straight start. He's allowed more than three goals only once in his last eight outings, going 6-2-0 during that span with a 2.49 GAA and an .895 save percentage.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Falls to Dallas in OT

Hellebuyck made 24 saves in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Stars.

After a scoreless first period, both offenses got busy, and there wasn't much Hellebuyck could do when Thomas Harley got sprung for a clean look on him in the extra frame. The 32-year-old netminder has just one win in his last seven starts, going 1-3-3 over that bumpy stretch with a 2.83 GAA and a .901 save percentage.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Picks up win in relief

Annunen turned aside all 13 shots he faced after replacing Juuse Saros early in the second period Monday, recording the win in a 6-5 victory over the Blues.

The Predators were staring at a 5-1 deficit when the goalie switch was made, but Annunen stood tall as his teammates put together a remarkable comeback. A seven-goal disaster in Vegas on Jan. 17 still mars his numbers, but that's the only outing Annunen's had since the beginning of December in which he's allowed more than three goals. Over that stretch, he's gone 4-2-1 in nine appearances with a 2.45 GAA and a .918 save percentage. With Nashville trying to stay in the playoff picture, Annunen could begin to push a struggling Saros for playing time.
